The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for bookstart programs to public libraries and related institutions by investigating and analyzing bookstart preferred programs, user satisfaction and reuse intentions based on the current status of bookstart services and programs for multicultural families nationwide. It is to propose an improvement plan for the multicultural family bookstart program. To this end, user satisfaction and reuse intention were surveyed and hypotheses were verified through a survey of bookstart program participants. For statistical analysis, SPSS 25 was used. As a result of this study, First, there was a significant difference in the bookstart program for multicultural families according to their children's age and average monthly education expenses. Second, in the satisfaction of the multicultural family bookstart program, only the use and service support, and the quality of facilities and environment were found to have a significant positive (+) effect. Third, it was found that the re-use intention of the multicultural family bookstart program had a significant positive (+) effect only on the quality of use and service support. Fourth, it was verified that satisfaction with the book start program for multicultural families had a significant positive (+) effect on the intention to reuse. In addition, it suggested the improvement plan for the multicultural family book start program.

In this study, we explored the preliminary model of multicultural mathematics teacher education to foster mathematics teachers' multicultural competencies. For the purpose, we investigated the multicultural competency of mathematics teachers with a survey questionnaire. We also interviewed mathematics teachers to analyze mathematics teachers' need of teacher education for multicultural mathematics education. In addition to the survey and the interview, we conducted a review of literatures to identify the principles, goals, contents, and methods for multicultural mathematics teacher education. In this research, we have identified 4 principles for multicultural mathematics teacher education: mathematics as culture, respecting diversity and equity, and identity. Under the principles, we presented 6 educational goals of teacher education for multicultural mathematics education. We chose the contents and the methods to promote the multicultural competency of mathematics teachers suitable for educational situation of Korean school. We integrated the principles, goals, contents and methods to design multicultural mathematics teacher education program for in-service teachers. Finally, we discussed the features and benefits of the preliminary model based on situational analysis for multicultural mathematics teacher education. We proposed that follow-up study is necessary to investigate the effect of the model for the future development of multicultural mathematics teacher education model.

The 2020 Digital polarization in accordance with rapid information and communication technology (ICT) development arises as an important issue in the society of the time in S. Korea. And at that time of 2020 S. Korea society due to the multicultural families of nearly one million people are expected to start full-scale multicultural society. So this study has been developed ways to bridge the gap as the digital divide with a discussion of multicultural society policy relevant to advent of the era of the informatization. Also under changing environment of this new paradigm, this study proposed that the future strategic direction like expanded and enhanced information services relevant to multicultural families in S. Korea. So this study focused on the strategy consulting of multicultural society policy with e-Government of S. Korea by the application of 'scenario planning' as a foresight method. As a result, A desirable future vision of multicultural society policy with e-government in S. Korea is to build 'open platform' based on ICT-integrated data services.

This study is how to effectively apply this SNS based education to multicultural families and is to analyze how any change in the lives of multicultural families. Multicultural education in Korea has been steadily run by the government and local authorities, however the lack of free time, distances, for economic reasons and unfamiliarity of the new culture and language, immigrant women are not getting the education. To solve this problem, we provide the necessary information, such as culture, education, laws of the Korea for multicultural families and analyze their effect on life adjustment. And we also analyze changes to relieve loneliness. As a result multicultural family education utilizing SNS is verified that there is effectiveness to adapt and understand Korea. As well as inter-family, multicultural members to seamlessly communicate between each other that proved helpful to relieve loneliness.

This study examined the research trends with a focus on the academic papers released from 2010 to 2022 on multicultural soldiers policy. As a result of examining the current status by year, field, and research subject, research has been conducted since the revision of the Military Service Act that allowed young people from multicultural families to join the army, but not actively so. Research fields also diversified from the creation of the environment and preparation directions to policy proposals ahead of the first multicultural soldier's enlistment, but the need to expand the field of research has been identified. Lastly, research subjects ranged from executives to warriors, but most of them centered around inmates rather than multicultural soldiers. It is expected that the analysis results of this paper will play a positive role in setting future research directions for multicultural soldiers that are still in progress.

This study is descriptive research study to understand the impact of digital ethics-literacy, multicultural acceptance, and global citizenship of medical students' on cultural competency. The subjects for this study were the medical students of J city of Province of G, collecting data from first of October to 15th of October 2023. The tools used for this study consist of 178 questions which were 9 questions of general properties, 70 questions of digital ethics-literacy, 35 questions of multicultural acceptance, 3qustions of global citizenship and 33 questions of cultural competency. As a result of this study, the score of digital ethics-literacy was 2.67±0.85(out of 5), the score of multicultural acceptance was 3.62±1.08(out of 6), the score of global citizenship was 3.72±0.75(out of 5), and the score of cultural competency was 3.49±0.71(out of 5). There is a positive correlation between multicultural acceptance and global citizenship. The global citizenship was the factor affecting significantly on cultural competency. The power of explication was 20.8%. The education for accepting and understanding cultural diversity and offering opportunity of domestic and overseas volunteering programs so that global citizenship could be improved. There is also a need of development of integrative education programs in terms of multicultural education including direct and indirect digital media education which can perform medical service for various multicultural recipient on the medical site not an one-shot instiiled displine.

According to the rapid increase of foreign immigrants, South Korea recently has grown more and more interested in the acceptance of cultural diversity in diverse fields at the whole society. Korea Library Association also has sought the way of multicultural service for foreign immigrants in libraries and many previous researches has suggested those. This paper examines the ways in which small community library functions for foreign immigrants, analyzing on the case of multicultural library located in Wongok-dong, Ansan-si, where about 80% population of residents are foreign immigrants. Ansan multicultural library has two functions in the community. One is the educational place for helping immigrants' settlement and adaptation of South Korea. The other is the cultural place for social integration between immigrants and South Koreans based on mutual understanding and communication. Ultimately this paper shows how values small library in the community has significantly for foreign immigrants.

In terms of population structure, korea military power has entered a serious danger zone, and that birth rate has led not only to a decrease in the population of the nation's economic activity, but also to a decrease in troop resources in our last security bastion, and the trend of "children from multicultural families" joining the army is predicted to soon become a "cultural force" with an average of 8,000 troops expected to join the army between 2025 and 2031. After all, the seriousness of the problem of declining troop resources in the military organization, the nation's last security bastion, and the multicultural army will be added. Therefore, this study reveals how multicultural soldiers are adapting to military service and analyzes them in depth by categorizing a series of processes on military life adaptation.

In child care teacher aptitude, it is identified that there is difference between male and female in sociability for the infants, but it shows that there is no difference in other field and implies that compared with gender of child care teacher, desire and qualification are more important for child care teaching. In addition,, in child care teacher aptitude, it is identified that as variable, commitment for duty expressively explicates child care teacher's professional perception, and the following things are shown as the variables to meaningfully explain the child care efficacy : creativity, self-improvement, sociability for infants, receptiveness, sensitiveness and safety management capacity significantly. Finally, it is turned out that creativity and self-improvement as main variable, expressively explains multicultural teaching efficacy. It is suggested the necessity to instruct pre-service child care teachers to possess creativity and be able to develop themselves, and improve multicultural teacher competencies.

This study had begun about the conflict between a lack of social adjustment and integration program for resident foreigners in Korea and a duplication of multicultural service in a specific area. This study was implemented through literature review and interview for analyses of the current status and problems of multicultural policy, subdivided into 3-stages model to reach the multiculturalism as multicultural policy process. The first stage suggested the unification of a channel for establishing a policies, reinforcing the functions of government ministries and the cooperation between the branches of the government. The second stage attempted to build the multicutural institutes network in a specific area unit, considering of the geographical and administrative environments. The third stage focused on the activities of individual organizations and proposed collaboration with library, school, support center for multi-cultural families, social service center, sport center, community center, and cultural facility. Additionally, 3-stages model emphasized on civic organization's role. This study was offered a meta-platform leaded by library community for sharing the information about planning and managing of multicutural programs and also mentioned significances for formulating multicutural policies. As a result, this study was presented and specified the 3-stages model to reach the multiculturalism, and verified the various considerations which have influenced the refinements of the multicultural policies as the demographic and geographical characteristics.
