다부품시스템의 최적수명교환방침 (Optimal Age Replacement Policy of Multi-Component System)

  • In general, the characteristics of components which consist of multi component system can not be the same. This paper proposes a maintenance model of multi-component system according to the characteristics of each component. In this paper multi-component system is divided into three components-critical component, major component and minor component, respectively. Then we determine the optimal age replacement time of the system which minimizes total maintenance cost. Numerical examples are shown to illustrate the result.

다성분연료 분무에 있어서 증발과정의 해석모델 제안 (Propose an Analysis Model of Evaporation Process in Multi-Component Fuel Spray)

  • The evaporation process of multi-component fuel is different from one of a single component, because the properties of each component affects among the components. In actual engine, the spatial distribution of fuel vapor concentration dominates auto-ignition and initial combustion, and depends on the volatility and diffusivity of each component fuel contained in the multi-component fuel. Then, this study proposes a simplified numerical scheme for analysis of evaporation process of multi-component fuel sprays. Evaporation process is calculated by KIVA-II code based on the simple two-phases region that is approximated by modified saturated liquid-vapor line, which was obtained by connecting the 50% distillation temperature for each component under several pressure fields. Consequently, it can be quantitatively simulated that vapor of low boiling fuel component mostly exists around nozzle and spray tip region, the high boiling duel component, on the other hand, mostly appears near the spray tip.

  • 중복시스템의 일반적인 구조는 기능을 수행하는 주요부품과 주요부품이 고장 나는 경우에 그 기능을 대신 수행하는 대기부품으로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 하나의 대기부품이 여러 개의 주요부품의 기능을 동시에 대신 수행할 수 있는 다기능 대기부품을 갖는 병렬시스템을 고려한다. 이 시스템을 구성하고 있는 모든 부품들은 작동상태와 고장상태만 갖는 반면 시스템은 구성 부품들의 상태에 따라 다중 상태를 갖는 것을 가정한다. 이러한 중복구조는 항공기와 같이 시스템의 중량이 중요한 요소인 시스템에서 많이 채택되고 있는 구조이다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 중복시스템의 신뢰도를 평가하기 위한 새로운 신뢰도모델링 기법을 제안하고 부품들이 상수고장률을 갖는 경우 마코프 분석 방법을 적용하여 시스템의 신뢰도를 구한다. 또한 본 연구에서 고려하고 있는 시스템과 기존에 이미 알려진 병렬시스템과 중복구조를 갖는 병렬시스템의 신뢰도를 비교하여 다기능 대기부품의 효과를 분석한다.

  • Most engineering products contain more than one component. Failure occurs either at the connection itself or in the component at the point of attachment of the connection in many engineering structures. The allocation and design of connections such as bolts, spot-welds, adhesive etc. usually play an important role in the structure of multi-components. Topology optimization of connection component provides more practical solution in design of multi-component connection system. In this study, a topology optimization based on density distribution approach has been applied to optimal location of fasteners such as T-shape, L-shape and multi-component connection system. From the results, it was verified that the number of iteration was reduced, and the optimal topology was obtained very similarly comparing with ESO method. Therefore, it can be concluded that the density distribution method is very suitable for topology optimization of multi-component structures.

  • An expert system is developed for rational and efficient design of multi-component injection molding which is a fairly new manufacturing technique to produce plastic parts by injecting two or more materials sequentially using multiple injection units in a single machine into a single rotary mold. The knowledge base used in the present design system is primarily composed of two parts ; knowledge from domain expert and knowledge from CAE analysis. The present expert system has hour main modules ; general design guidelines for injection molding specific guidelines for multi-component injection molding redesign guidelines from the result of the CAE analysis and finally troubleshooting for multi-component injection molding. To show the validity of the present design methodology two shop floor design problems were tested ; design and fabrication of timing belt cover and power window's assist knob by using multi-component injection molding.

Influence of multi-component ground motions on seismic responses of long-span transmission tower-line system: An experimental study

  • Seismic performance is particularly important for life-line structures, especially for long-span transmission tower line system subjected to multi-component ground motions. However, the influence of multi-component seismic loads and the coupling effect between supporting towers and transmission lines are not taken into consideration in the current seismic design specifications. In this research, shake table tests are conducted to investigate the performance of long-span transmission tower-line system under multi-component seismic excitations. For reproducing the genuine structural responses, the reduced-scale experimental model of the prototype is designed and constructed based on the Buckingham's theorem. And three commonly used seismic records are selected as the input ground motions according to the site soil condition of supporting towers. In order to compare the experimental results, the dynamic responses of transmission tower-line system subjected to single-component and two-component ground motions are also studied using shake table tests. Furthermore, an empirical model is proposed to evaluate the acceleration and member stress responses of transmission tower-line system subjected to multi-component ground motions. The results demonstrate that the ground motions with multi-components can amplify the dynamic response of transmission tower-line system, and transmission lines have a significant influence on the structural response and should not be neglected in seismic analysis. The experimental results can provide a reference for the seismic design and analysis of long-span transmission tower-line system subjected to multi-component ground motions.

와이블 분포를 이용한 다기능 다중상태 대기시스템의 신뢰도 분석 (Reliability Analysis of Multi-functional Multi-state Standby System Using Weibull Distribution)

  • As the functions and structure of the system are complicated and elaborated, various types of structures are emerging to increase reliability in order to cope with a system requiring higher reliability. Among these, standby systems with standby components for each major component are mainly used in aircraft or power plants requiring high reliability. In this study, we consider a standby system with a multi-functional standby component in which one standby component simultaneously performs the functions of several major components. The structure of a parallel system with multifunctional standby components can also be seen in real aircraft hydraulic pump systems and is very efficient in terms of weight, space, and cost as compared to a basic standby system. All components of the system have complete operation, complete failure, only two states, and the system has multiple states depending on the state of the component. At this time, the multi-functional standby component is assumed to be in a non-operating standby state (Cold Standby) when the main component fails. In addition, the failure rate of each part follows the Weibull distribution which can be expressed as increasing type, constant type, and decreasing type according to the shape parameter. If the Weibull distribution is used, it can be applied to various environments in a realistic manner compared to the exponential distribution that can be reflected only when the failure rate is constant. In this paper, Markov chain analysis method is applied to evaluate the reliability of multi-functional multi-state standby system. In order to verify the validity of the reliability, a graph was generated by applying arbitrary shape parameters and scale parameter values through Excel. In order to analyze the effect of multi-functional multi-state standby system using Weibull distribution, we compared the reliability based on the most basic parallel system and the standby system.

컴포넌트 결합 명세서에 기반한 컴포넌트 결합 모델 (A Component Composition Model based on Component Composition Specification)

  • 현재 대부분의 컴포넌트 기반 개발 환경 들이 특정 형태 컴포넌트와 이를 위한 프레임웍 기능 제공을 위주로 하는데 대하여, 좀 더 효과적인 컴포넌트 기반 개발 환경의 구축을 위해서는 재귀적 컴포넌트 결합 및 다양한 결합형태의 지원, 그리고 다중 티어 아키텍쳐를 지원할 수 있는 방안의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 이의 해결 방안의 하나로 본 논문에서는 재귀적 컴포넌트 결합을 지원할 수 있으며, 컴포넌트간 상호 동작 조건을 기술할 수 있도록 확장된 컴포넌트 결합 명세의 기술 방안 및 이를 이용한 컴포넌트 결합 모델을 제안하였다. 제안된 결합 명세서는 기존의 컴포넌트 기술 방법들에서 지적되고 있는 컨트랙트로서의 부족한 기능을 보완하고 있을 뿐만 아니라 다양한 형태의 컴포넌트간 결합을 일관된 형태로 지원 함으로써 다중 티어(Multi-Tier) 개념을 지원하는 컴포넌트 아키텍쳐의 구현 및 이를 위한 컴포넌트 결합 도구의 구현에 활용될 수 있다.

다합금 백주철의 미끄럼 마모특성에 미치는 코발트 첨가의 영향 (The Effects of Cobalt Addition on Sliding Wear Properties of Multi-component White Cast Iron)

  • Effects of Co addition on sliding wear properties of multi-component white cast iron were investigated. The microstructures of multi-component white cast iron containing from 0%Co to 10%Co exhibited little difference. However, the hardness increased with an increase of the Co content. Increasing the Co content, wear properties were improved and the iron oxide on worn surface was increased in the low sliding speed range of the steady-state wear region. Hence, Co addition was effective to improve the wear properties of multi-component white cast iron by accelerating the corrosive wear as well as the enhancement effect of hardness.
