This paper proposes an auto-parking controller for omnidirectional mobile robots. The controller uses the multi-sensor system including ultrasonic sensor and camera. The several ultrasonic sensors of robot detect the distance between robot and each wall of the parking lot. The camera detects the global position of robot by capturing the image of artificial landmarks. To improve the accuracy of position estimation, we applied the extended Kalman filter with adaptive fuzzy controller. Also we developed the fuzzy control system to reduce the settling time of parking. The experimental results are presented to verify the usefulness of the proposed controller.

Today, it is concentrating on automation and these appearance of industrial robot has been dealing flexibly with this field. If it is drilling through these industrial robot, it will be a high efficiency of the productivity. Therefore, electric drill is setting on articulated robot with six degree of freedom and the 5 face is drilling as the type of articulated robot by a machine object setting. This study was carried out to get the possibility about drilling as analyzing with experimental frequency, original vibration of robot and appearance of vibration when it is practical drilling.
This paper presents a task teaching method for off-line programming of a multi-robot system. Teaching commands were developed in order to simplify a complex teaching process, to shorten the setup time for new working environment and to have flexibility for changes in working environment. Four teaching commands can be used to automatically generate trajectories of an end-effector of the robot in electronics assembly line. The robots used in the work cell are a four-axis SCARA robot and six-axis articulated robot. Each robot is controlled in a independent way while objects, working environment and robots are modeled in corresponding modules, respectively. The off- line programming system developed uses OpenGL for a smooth graphic effect in Window s where three dimensional CAD data can be leaded for graphical modeling.

In this paper we present the multi-agent robot system and the vision system developed for participating in micro robot soccer tournament. The multi-agent robot system consists of micro robot, a vision system, a host computer and a communication module. Micro robot are equipped with two mini DC motors witf encoders and gearboxes, a R/F receiver, a CPU and infrared sensors for obstacle detection. A vision system is used to recognize the position of the ball and opponent robots, position and orientation of our robots. The vision system is composed of a color CCD camera and a vision processing unit(AISI vision computer). The vision algorithm is based on morphological method. And it takes about 90 msec to detect ball and 3-our robots and 3-opponent robots with reasonable accuracy

Integration of intelligent robot workcell is now a hot issue in CIM and robotics area. This paper dealt with relatively low level essential topics. i. e., multi-robot coordination and real-time communication for the integration of intelligent robot workcell. For the coordination of multi-robot system, the tightly-coupled coordination is proposed using the various sensors. In order to handle the numerous communication data, time-critical communication network (field-bus) is introduced and investigated. Finally, intelligent robot workcell is suggested using the mini-MAP and field-bus.

This research is to apply the control of neuron networks for the real-time walking control of Multi-articulated robot. Multi-articulated robot is expressed with a complicated mathematical model on account of the mechanic, electric non-linearity which each articulation of mechanism has, and includes an unstable factor in time of walking control. If such a complex expression is included in control operation, it leads to the disadvantage that operation time is lengthened. Thus, if the rapid change of the load or the disturbance is given, it is difficult to fulfill the control of desired performance. This paper proposes a new mode to implement a neural network controller by installing a real object for controlling and an algorithm for this, which can replace the existing method of implementing a neural network controller by utilizing activation function at the output node. The proposed control algorithm generated control signs corresponding to the non-linearity of Multi-articulated robot, which could generate desired motion in real time.

The present work addresses the challenging problem of coordinating power allocation with interference management in multi-robot networks by applying the promising expansion capabilities of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and full duplex systems, which achieves it for maximizing the throughput of networks under the impacts of Doppler frequency shifts and external jamming. The proposed power allocation with interference coordination formulation accounts for three types of the interference, including cross-tier, co-tier, and mixed-tier interference signals with cluster head nodes operating in different full-duplex modes, and their signal-to-noise-ratios are respectively derived under the impacts of Doppler frequency shifts and external jamming. In addition, various optimization algorithms, including two centralized iterative optimization algorithms and three decentralized optimization algorithms, are applied for solving the complex and non-convex combinatorial optimization problem associated with the power allocation and interference coordination. Simulation results demonstrate that the overall network throughput increases gradually to some degree with increasing numbers of MIMO antennas. In addition, increasing the number of clusters to a certain extent increases the overall network throughput, although internal interference becomes a severe problem for further increases in the number of clusters. Accordingly, applications of multi-robot networks require that a balance should be preserved between robot deployment density and communication capacity.

Effective warehouse management requires advanced resource planning to optimize profits and space. Robots offer a promising solution, but their effectiveness relies on embedded artificial intelligence. Multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) enhances robot intelligence in these environments. This study explores various MARL algorithms using the Multi-Robot Warehouse Environment (RWARE) to determine their suitability for warehouse resource planning. Our findings show that cooperative MARL is essential for effective warehouse management. IA2C outperforms MAA2C and VDA2C on smaller maps, while VDA2C excels on larger maps. IA2C's decentralized approach, focusing on cooperation over collaboration, allows for higher reward collection in smaller environments. However, as map size increases, reward collection decreases due to the need for extensive exploration. This study highlights the importance of selecting the appropriate MARL algorithm based on the specific warehouse environment's requirements and scale.

The multiple cooperating robot system plays an important role in the research of modern manufacturing system as the emphasis of production automation is more on the side of flexibility than before. While the kinematic and dynamic analysis of a single robot is performed as an open-loop chain, the dynamic formulation of robot in a multiple cooperating robot system differs from that of a single robot when the multiple cooperating robots form a closed kinematic chain holding an object simultaneously. The object may be any type from a rigid body to a multi-joint linkage. The mobility of the system depends on the kinematic configuration of the closed kinematic chain formed by robots and object, which also decides the number of independent input parameters. Since the mobility is not the same as the number of robot joints, proper constraint condition is sought. The constraints may be such that : the number of active robot joints is kept the same as mobility, all robot joints are active and have interrelations between each joint forces/torques, two robots have master-slave relation, or so on. The dynamic formulation of system is obtained. The formulation is based on recursive dual-number screw-calculus Newton-Eulerian approach which has been used for single robot analysis. This new scheme is recursive and compact symbolically and may facilitate the consideration of the object in real time.

This paper proposes a PC-based open architecture controller for a multi-axis robotic manipulator. The designed controller can be applied for various multi-axes robotic manipulators since the motion controller is implemented on a PC with its peripheral devices. The accuracy of the controller based on the computed torque method has been measured with the dynamic model of manipulator. Since the controller is implemented in the PC-based architecture, it is free from the user circumstances and the operating environment. Dynamics of the manipulator have been compensated by the feed forward path in the inner loop and the resulting linear outer loop has been controlled by PD algorithm. Using the specialized language, it can be more efficient in programming and in driving of the multi-axis robot. Unlike the conventional controller that is used to control only a specific robot, this controller can be easily changed for various types of robots. This paper proposes a PC-based controller that has a simple architecture with its simple interface circuits than general commercial controllers. The maintenance and the performance of the controller can be easily improved for a specific robot. In fact, using a Samsung multi-axis robot, AT1, the controller performance and convenience of the PC-based controller have been verified by comparing to the commercial one.
