Many researchers have investigated the blood flow characteristics through bileaflet mechanical heart valves using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models. Their numerical approach methods can be classified into three types; steady flow analysis, pulsatile flow analysis with fixed leaflets, and pulsatile flow analysis with moving leaflets. The first and second methods have been generally employed for two-dimensional and three-dimensional calculations. The pulsatile flow analysis interacted with moving leaflets has been recently introduced and tried only in two-dimensional analysis because this approach method has difficulty in considering simultaneously two physics of blood flow and leaflet behavior interacted with blood flow. In this publication, numerical calculation for pulsatile flow with moving leaflets using a fluid-structure interaction method has been performed in a three-dimensional geometry. Also, pulsatile flow with fixed leaflets has been analyzed for comparison with the case with moving leaflets. The calculated results using the fluid-structure interaction model have shown good agreements with results visualized by previous experiments. In peak systole. calculations with the two approach methods have predicted similar flow fields. However, the model with fixed leaflets has not been able to predict the flow fields during opening and closing phases. Therefore, the model with moving leaflets is rigorously required for advanced analysis of flow fields.
Free surface impinging jet on a moving plate, which is applicable to cooling of hot metals in a steel-making process, is investigated numerically by solving the Navier-Stokes equations in the liquid and gas phases. The free surface of liquid-gas interface is tracked by a level-set method which is improved by incorporating the ghost fluid approach based on a sharp-interface representation. The method is further improved by employing a nonequilibrium $\kappa-\varepsilon$ turbulence model including the effect of low Reynolds number. The computations are made to investigate the effects of the nozzle pitch, moving velocity of plate and jet velocity on the interfacial motion and the associated flow and temperature fields.
This paper is intended to investigate interaction response of a train running over a suspension bridge undergoing support settlements. The suspension bridge is modeled as a single-span suspended beam with hinged ends and the train as successive moving oscillators with identical properties. To conduct this dynamic problem with non-homogeneous boundary conditions, this study first divides the total response of the suspended beam into two parts: the static and dynamic responses. Then, the coupled equations of motion for the suspended beam carrying multiple moving oscillators are transformed into a set of nonlinearly coupled generalized equations by Galerkin's method, and solved using the Newmark method with an incremental-iterative procedure including the three phases: predictor, corrector, and equilibrium-checking. Numerical investigations demonstrate that the present iterative technique is available in dealing with the dynamic interaction problem of vehicle/bridge coupling system and that the differential movements of bridge supports will significantly affect the dynamic response of the running vehicles but insignificant influence on the bridge response.

A numerical method for treating transient diffusion Involving change of phase is presented. In other methods of dealing with this class of problems, the mass flux balance at the moving phase boundary requires explicit treatment of two distinct phases. The technique, originating from the apparent heat capacity method in transient heat conduction with the phase change, avoids the difficulty by transferring the concentration discontinuity at the boundary to smoothed physical property variations near the moving front. This technique accomodates the nonlinearities which preclude use of analytical solutions. It was tested against known analytical solutions for simple cases and turned out to be quite accurate.

Recently, MANET(Mobile Ad-hoc Network) is developing increasingly in the wireless network. MANET has weakness because phases change frequently and MANET doesn't have middle management system. Every node which consists of MANET has to perform data forwarding, but traceback is not reliable if these nodes do malicious action owing to attack. It also is not easy to find location of attacker when it is attacked as moving of nodes. In this paper, we propose a hierarchical-based traceback method that reduce waste of memory and can manage path information efficiently. In order to manage trace path information and reduce using resource in the cluster head after network is formed to cluster, method which recomposes the path efficiently is proposed. Proposed method in this paper can reduce path trace failure rate remarkably due to moving of nodes. It can also reduce the cost for traceback and time it takes to collect information.

This study empirically examines herd behavior for fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector stocks under varied market return conditions and the period during the global financial crisis and its aftermath. We examine the sample of stocks trading on the Nifty FMCG Index of the Indian equity market from January 2008 up to December 2018 using the dispersion measure of cross sectional absolute deviation and examine its relationship with the market return to explore herd phenomenon. Quantile regression estimate is used and the results of the study validate rational asset pricing models as the sector does not display herding. In contrast, anti-herd behavior at lower and median quantile values is observed. A possible reason can be the non-cyclical nature of the industry where investors rely more on the fundamentals rather than crowd chasing. We also findthe absence of herd phenomenon during the market asymmetries of bull and bear phases, extreme movements, the period of the global financial crisis, and afterward. We further examine herding under the impact of the information technology (IT) industry and conclude that significant return movements in IT sector impact dispersions in the FMCG industry. Also, there is a co-varying risk between the two sectors confirming the spillover in an integrated market.

This paper presents an efficient region-based motion segmentation method for segmenting of moving objects in a traffic scene with a focus on a Video Monitoring System (VMS). The presented method consists of two phases: motion detection and motion segmentation. Using the adaptive thresholding technique, the differences between two consecutive frames are analyzed to detect the movements of objects in a scene. To segment the detected regions into meaningful objects which have the similar intensity and motion information, the regions are initially segmented using a k-means clustering algorithm and then, the neighboring regions with the similar motion information are merged. Since we deal with not the whole image, but the detected regions in the segmentation phase, the computational cost is reduced dramatically. Experimental results demonstrate robustness in the occlusions among multiple moving objects and the change in environmental conditions as well.

Maritime object detection systems, which detects small maritime obstacles such as fish farm buoys and visualizes distance and direction, is equipped with a 3-axis gimbal to compensate for errors caused by hull motion, but there is a limit to distance error corrections necessitated by the vertical movement of the camera and the maritime object due to wave motions. Therefore, in this study, the distance error of maritime object detection systems caused by the movement of the water surface according to the external environment is analyzed and corrected using average filter and moving average filter. Random numbers following a Gaussian standard normal distribution were added to or subtracted from the image coordinates to reproduce the rise or fall of the buoy under irregular waves. The distance calculated according to the change of image coordinates, the predicted distance through the average filter and the moving average filter, and the actual distance measured by laser distance meter were compared. In phases 1 and 2, the error rate increased to a maximum of 98.5% due to the changes of image coordinates due to irregular waves, but the error rate decreased to 16.3% with the moving average filter. This error correction capability was better than with the average filter, but there was a limit due to failure to respond to the distance change. Therefore, it is considered that use of the moving average filter to correct the distance error of the maritime object detection system will enhance responses to the real-time distance change and greatly improve the error rate.
This paper considers a six sigma project for reducing the defects rate of the welding process in manufacturing firms. The project follows a disciplined process of five macro phases. define, measure, analyze, improve and control(DMAIC). The need of customers is used to identify critical to quality(CTQ) of project. And a process map is used to identify process input factors of CTQ. Four key process input factors are selected by using an input factor evaluation of teams; an interval of welding, an abrasion, an electric current and a moving freely. DOE is utilized for finding the optimal process conditions of the three key process input factors. Another one key input factor improved to welding machine. The six sigma level of defects rate becomes a 2.01 from a 1.61 at the beginning of the project.

In the present work transformation of dimensionless heat diffusion equation for the solution of moving boundary problems have been formulated. The formulation is based on 1-D, 2-D and 3-D, unsteady heat diffusion equations. These equations are rst turned int dimensionless form by using dimensionless quantities and their transformation was formulated in liquid and solid phases. The salient feature of this work is that during the transformation of dimensionless heat diffusion equation there arises a convective term $\tilde{v}$ which is responsible for the motion of interface in liquid as well as solid phase. In the transformed heat equation, a correction factor $\beta$ also arises naturally which gives the correct transformed flux at interface.
