We have proposed a method to detect and track moving ships using position from Radar and image processor. Real-time segmentation of moving regions in image sequences is a fundamental step in the radar-camera integrated system. Algorithms for segmentation of objects are implemented by composing of background subtraction, morphologic operation, connected components labeling, region growing, and minimum enclosing rectangle. Once the moving objects are detected, tracking is only performed upon pixels labeled as foreground with reduced additional computational burdens.

In this paper, we describe a method for the mobile robot using images of a moving object. This method combines the observed position from dead-reckoning sensors and the estimated position from the images captured by a fixed camera to localize a mobile robot. Using the a priori known path of a moving object in the world coordinates and a perspective camera model, we derive the geometric constraint equations which represent the relation between image frame coordinates for a moving object and the estimated robot`s position. Since the equations are based on the estimated position, the measurement error may exist all the time. The proposed method utilizes the error between the observed and estimated image coordinates to localize the mobile robot. The Kalman filter scheme is applied to this method. Effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated by the simulation.
This paper proposes trajectory tracking of the moving object based on one camera vision system. And, this system proposes a method which robot manipulator grips moving object and predicts coordinate of moving objcet. The trajectory tracking and position coordinate are computed by vision data acquired to camera. Robot manipulator tracks and grips moving object by vision data. The proposed vision systems use a algorithm to do real-time processing.

An effective algorithm for tracking rigid or non-rigid moving object(s) which segments local moving parts from image sequence in the presence of backgraound motion by camera movenment, predicts the direction of it, and tracks the object is proposed. It requires no camera calibration and no knowledge of the installed position of camera. In order to segment the moving object, feature points configuring the shape of moving object are firstly selected, feature flow field composed of motion vectors of the feature points is computed, and moving object(s) is (are) segmented by clustering the feature flow field in the multi-dimensional feature space. Also, we propose IRMAS, an efficient algorithm that finds the convex hull in order to cinstruct the shape of moving object(s) from clustered feature points. And, for the purpose of robjst tracking the objects whose movement characteristics bring about the abrupt change of moving trajectory, an improved order adaptive lattice structured linear predictor is used.

In this paper, the speed control problem of moving camera is investigated for tracking the movement of the human-face. The camera system with pan-tilt mechanism sends an image to PC and PC sends back tracking coordinate to the camera. Then the camera tracks a human face in real time. The speed of the stepping motors for moving the camera must be controlled to the target region fast enough and smoothly, In this paper, a fuzzy logic controller is proposed for driving step motors. By creating driving acceleration and deceleration speed Profile, the speed of the motors is controled fast and smoothly. Experiments are performed to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

It is very important for metaverse, mobile robot, and user location services to analyze the images continuously taken using a mobile smartphone or robot's monocular camera to estimate the camera's location. So far, PnP-related techniques have been applied to calculate the position. In this paper, the camera's moving direction is obtained using the essential matrix in the epipolar geometry applied to successive images, and the camera's continuous moving position is calculated through geometrical equations. A new estimation method was proposed, and its accuracy was verified through simulation. This method is completely different from the existing method and has a feature that it can be applied even if there is only one or more matching feature points in two or more images.

A SMT machine is used to place electronic components on a PCB precisely. To place it precisely, after a component inspection, it finds an offset value using a vision camera, and places the precise position on the PCB. In general, to inspect the components with a vision camera, the components stop in front of the camera for inspection, then move to the placement position. On the other hand, if they do not stop in front of a camera, the inspection time will be shortened and the productivity would be increased. In this thesis, when inspecting without stopping in front of a camera, the fastest way among various routes is described. For the gantry passing over a vision camera, both the distance and speed of a gantry moving trajectory were studied, and there was approximately 5% speed increment when using the method suggested in this thesis.
The paper introduces a development result for displacement measurement system of multiple moving objects based on image processing technique. The image processing method adopts inertia moment theory for obtaining the centroid of the targets and basic processing algorithms of gray, binary, closing, labeling and etc. To get precise displacement measurement in spite of multiple moving targets, a CCD camera with zoom is used and the position of camera is changed by a pan/tilt system. The fiducial marks on the fixed positions are used as the sensing points for the image processing to recognize the position errors in directions of X -Y coordinates. The precise alignment device is pan /tilt of X - Y type and the pan/tilt is controlled by DC servomotors which are driven by 80c196kc microprocessor based controller. The centers of the fiducial marks are obtained by a inertia moment method. By applying the developed precise position control system for multiple targets, the displacement of multiple moving targets are detected automatically and are stored in the database system in a real time. By using database system and internet, displacement data can be confirmed at a great distance and analyzed. The developed system shows the effectiveness such that it realizes the precision about 0.12mm in the position control of X -Y coordinates.

The purpose of this research is to develop a virtual reality system which enables to actually experience the virtual reality through the visual sense of human. TSS was applied in tracing the movement of moving picture in this research. By applying TSS, it was possible to calculate multiple motion vectors from moving picture, and then camera's motion parameters were obtained by utilizing the relationship between the motion vectors. For the purpose of experiencing the virtual reality by synchronizing the camera's accelerated velocity and the simulator's movements, the relationship between the value of camera's accelerated velocity and the simulator's movements was analyzed and its result was applied to the neutral network training. It has been proved that the proposed virtual reality immersion system in this dissertation can dynamically control the movements of moving picture and can also operate the simulator quite similarly to the real movements of moving picture.
The gantry of surface mount equipment (SMD) is responsible for transferring parts from the feeder to the PCB. At this time, the moving time of the gantry affects the yield. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the fastest path from the suction to the mounting to reduce the gantry travel time. This path is a case where the velocity in front of the camera is 2m/sec due to the nature of the gantry. Therefore, the trajectory graph of this case was created through simulation and the travel time was calculated. As a result, we can see that the moving time of the moving-motion method proposed in this paper is 20% shorter than the current stop-motion method.
