Nonlinear resonance of axially moving GPLRMF plates with different boundary conditions

  • Boundary condition is an important factor affecting the vibration characteristics of structures, under different boundary conditions, structures will exhibit different vibration behaviors. On the basis of the previous work, this paper extends to the nonlinear resonance behavior of axially moving graphene platelets reinforced metal foams (GPLRMF) plates with geometric imperfection under different boundary conditions. Based on nonlinear Kirchhoff plate theory, the motion equations are derived. Considering three boundary conditions, including four edges simply supported (SSSS), four edges clamped (CCCC), clamped-clamped-simply-simply (CCSS), the nonlinear ordinary differential equation system is obtained by Galerkin method, and then the equation system is solved to obtain the nonlinear ordinary differential control equation which only including transverse displacement. Subsequently, the resonance response of GPLRMF plates is obtained by perturbation method. Finally, the effects of different boundary conditions, material properties (including the GPLs patterns, foams distribution, porosity coefficient and GPLs weight fraction), geometric imperfection, and axial velocity on the resonance of GPLRMF plates are investigated.

  • The gantry is a device that moves fine chips from the feeder to the PCB. While the gantry is moving the part, the camera checks the condition of the part. The purpose of this paper is to find the path with the shortest travel time of the gantry and calculate the travel time according to the path. stop_motion is a way to check the status of the parts currently in use. This paper presents the moving_motion method and the fly_motion method with maximum speed in front of the camera. In addition the signature method was used to inspect the condition of the parts. When comparing the moving time of the three types of gantry, the moving_motion method improved by 9.42% and the fly_motion method by 17.73% compared to stop_motion. When the fly_motion method proposed in this paper is used for the gantry movement path, it is expected that productivity will be improved.

  • Moving techniques is made up the physical moving status of the flow distinction modulus (FDM) and stream distinction modulus (SDM) on the shudder moving shape. Condition of the distinction modulus by the shudder moving shape is organized the dangle moving system. As to define the physical moving of special signal on the matter, we compared a shudder value of the flow distinction modulus on the flow state. The concept of stream distinction modulus is analyzed the reference of stream distinction signal and stream distinction signal by the stream state. For detecting a variation of the FDM-SDM of the maximum-minimum and average in terms of the moving shape, and shudder moving value that is a shudder value of the top variation of the $Top-{\varepsilon}$ MAX-MIN-AVG with $(-0.817){\pm}0.15$ units, that is a shudder value of the peripheral variation of the $Per-{\varepsilon}$ MAX-MIN-AVG with $(-2.53){\pm}(-0.11)$ units, that is a shudder value of the limbus variation of the $Lim-{\varepsilon}$ MAX-MIN-AVG with $(-0.29){\pm}0.03$ units, that is a shudder value of the center variation of the $Cen-{\varepsilon}$ MAX-MIN-AVG with $(-0.09){\pm}(-0.01)$ units. The dangle moving will be to assess at the capacity of the physical moving shape for the control degree of distinction modulus on the FDM-SDM that is showed the flow and stream shape by the distinction modulus system. Dangle distinction system is adjusted of a shape by the special moving and is included a shudder data of dangle moving modulus.

Real-time Image Transmission on the Internet Using Wavelet Transform and Neural Network (웨이블릿변환과 신경회로에 의한 칼라 동영상의 실시간 전송)

  • In this paper we discuss an algorithm for a real time transmission of moving color images on the TCP/IP network using wavelet transform and neural network. The image frames received from the camera are two-level wavelet-transformed in the server, and are transmitted to the client on the network. Then, the client performs the inverse wavelet-fransform using only the received pieces of each image frame within the prescribed time limit to display the moving images. When the TCP/IP network is busy, only a fraction of each image frame will be delivered. When the line is free, the whole frame of each image will be transferred to the client. The receiver warns the sender of the condition of traffic congestion in the network by sending a special short frame for this specific purpose. The sender can respond to this condition of warning by simply reducing the data rate which is adjusted by a back-propagation neural network. In this way we can send a stream of moving images adaptively adjusting to the network traffic condition.

  • The part in the structure that is most affected by changes of external temperature is the protective concrete layer that protects a waterproofing layer. Also, the waterproofing layer that is situated under or on the back of such a protective concrete layer is affected by temperature and the behavior of the protective concrete layer under the condition of consolidation or close adhesion. In particular, in many cases, the damage is serious mainly around the projection (such as a parapet), crack, and joint (expansion joint). However, there is no proper way of examining again the non-exposed waterproofing layer once it has been constructed. Therefore, there is an assessment only on the physical property of materials and the capability of the layer in construction, and there is no actual assessment in consideration of its environmental condition or the condition of the use of buildings after construction. Therefore, in order to create more pleasant buildings and to enhance the durability of structures, this study conducts research into the change of capability of non-exposed waterproofing material after the application of a static load and moving load on the waterproofing layer situated under or on the back of protective concrete.

Influence of surface irregularity on dynamic response induced due to a moving load on functionally graded piezoelectric material substrate

  • The present study investigate the compressive stress, shear stress, tensile stress, vertical electrical displacement and horizontal electrical displacement induced due to a load moving with uniform velocity on the free rough surface of an irregular transversely isotropic functionally graded piezoelectric material (FGPM) substrate. The closed form expressions ofsaid induced stresses and electrical displacements for both electrically open condition and electrically short condition have been deduced. The influence of various affecting parameters viz. maximum depth of irregularity, irregularity factor, parameter of functionally gradedness, frictional coefficient of the rough upper surface, piezoelectricity/dielectricity on said induced stresses and electrical displacements have been examined through numerical computation and graphical illustration for both electrically open and short conditions. The comparative analysis on the influence of electrically open and short conditions as well as presence and absence of piezoelectricity on the induced stresses and induced electrical displacements due to a moving load serve as the salient features of the present study. Moreover, some important peculiarities have also been traced out by means of graphs.

  • The purpose of this study is to assess the ability of balance control in moving surround using head mount device and force platform and to examine the clinical usefulness of COP parameters. Fifteen patients with stroke and healthy persons were participated. COP parameters were obtained as total path distance, frequency of anterior-posterior and medial-lateral component by FFT analysis, weight-spectrum analysis in the two different conditions; (1) in comfortable standing with opened or closed eyes, (2) in virtual moving surround delivered using HMD to four different moving pattern. In virtual moving surround setting, moving pattern was composed of close-far, superior-inferior tilting(pitch), right-left tilting(roll) and horizontal rotation(yaw) movement. In all parameters, the reliebility of COP analysis system was significantly high.   • Microscopic examination of the morphology of wear debris is an accepted method for machine condition and fault diagnosis. However wear particle analysis has not been widely accepted in industry because it is dependent on expert interpretation of particle morphology and subjective assessment criteria. This paper was undertaken to analyze the morphology of wear debris for machine condition diagnosis of the lubricated moving surfaces by image processing and analysis. The lubricating wear test was performed under different sliding conditions using a wear test device made in our laboratory and wear testing specimen of the pin-on-disk-type was rubbed in paraffine series base oil. In order to describe characteristics of debris of various shape and size, four shape parameters (50% volumetric diameter, aspect, roundness and reflectivity) have been developed and outlined in the paper. A system using such techniques promises to obviate the need for subjective, human interpretation of particle morphology in machine condition monitoring, thus to overcome many of the difficulties in current methods and to facilitate wider use of wear particle analysis in machine condition monitoring.

An Analysis of Driving Property of a Reflective Electronic Display Fabricated by Using Filtering Method of Non-moving Particles

  • The driving properties of a particle-insertion method that filters non-moving particles are analyzed, by measuring its optical and electrical properties. An area that is occupied by the moved particles is proposed, as a desirable evaluation method for a reflective display. To compare the driving property of the particle-moving method with that of the reported simple particle-loading method, two panels are fabricated, according to the different particle-insertion methods, in the same panel condition, of which the width of ribs is $30{\mu}m$, the cell size is $220{\mu}m{\times}220{\mu}m$, the cell gap is $116-120{\mu}m$, the q/m value of the black particles is $+1.8{\mu}C/g$ and that for the white particles is $-4.3{\mu}C/g$. The particle-moving method has a filtering effect which excludes the non-moving particles, inserting only movable particles into the respective cell, so that a panel fabricated by the particle-moving method can drive most of the particles in a cell. Also, most of the particles move at the threshold voltage of 40 V, with enhanced reflectivity. The driving property is also verified by measurement of the occupation rate of the moved particles.

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm for planning an optimal path to capture a moving object by a mobile robot in real-time. The direction and rotational angular velocity of the moving object are estimated using the Kalman filter, a state estimator. It is demonstrated that the moving object is tracked by using a 2-DOF active camera mounted on the mobile robot and then captured by a mobile manipulator. The optimal path to capture the moving object is dependent on the initial conditions of the mobile robot, and the real-time planning of the robot trajectory is definitely required for the successful capturing of the moving object. Therefore the algorithm that determines the optimal path to capture a moving object depending on the initial conditions of the mobile robot and the conditions of a moving object is proposed in this paper. For real-time implementation, the optimal representative blocks have been utilized for the experiments to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
