Lead Effects among Secondary Lead Smelter Workers with Blood Lead Levels below $80{\mu}g/100\;ml$

  • A subgroup or workers from a secondary lead smelter was defined to include those with blood lead levels not exceeding $80{\mu}g/100\;ml$ and with no pest history of elevated blood lead. Central nervous system symptoms (tiredness, sleeplessness, irritability, headache) were reported by 55% of the group and muscle and joint pain by 39%. Zinc proteporphyrin (ZPP) levels were elevated in 71% or cases. Low hemoglobin levels (less than 14 gm/l00 ml) were round in more than a third of the workers. While BUN and creatinine were mostly in the normal range, there - nevertheless n correlation between ZPP and both BUN and creatinine. Reduced nerve-conduction velocities were present in 25% or the group; this was not significantly different from findings in Ii control group. The data indicate that n blood level of $80{\mu}g/100\;ml$ is an inappropriate biological guide in the prevention or lead disease.

  • 이 논문에서는 하이브리드 마운트의 능동진동제어 성능에 대하여 기술하였다. 제안된 하이브리드 마운트는 압전작동기의 능동요소와 고무의 수동요소로 구성하였다. 압전작동기의 작동력 특성과 고무의 동적 특성을 실험적으로 구하여 이를 바탕으로 하이브리드 마운트를 설계 및 제작하였다. 그리고 특정 질량을 결합한 진동제어 시스템을 구축하고, 그 시스템의 지배 방정식을 수립하였다. 지면으로부터 전달되는 진동을 능동적으로 절연시키기 위해서 앞먹임 제어기를 구축하고 실험적으로 구현하였다. 그리고 가속도, 힘 전달력 등 진동제어 성능을 시간과 주파수 영역에서 평가하였다.

  • 표면실장기술(SMT: Surface Mount Technology)에 있어서 휴대폰 및 평판 디스플레이가 점점 가볍고 얇아지면서 이 제품에 사용되는 전자부품이 작아지고 있어, 0402, 0603 Chip등과 같은 SMD(Surface Mount Device) 부품을 실장하는 기술이 대두되고 있다. 따라서 Chip Mounter 제조회사들은 미삽이나 오삽을 방지하기 위한 실장기술에 대해 지속적인 연구를 해오고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 미삽 오삽 방지를 실현하기 위하여 Fiber sensor를 이용하여 기계적 구조를 마련하고, 이를 활용한 시스템 알고리즘을 개선하는 기술을 제시한다.

  • This case study presents a practical method to reduce resonant vibration of generator-motor set. The generator is driven at 1800rpm by induction integral motor. The vibration is below alarm limits, but the dominant frequency of vibration is sub-synchronous and close to that of bearing fault signal in spite of new bearings. To find an mechanism of abnormal vibration, ODS and Modal analysis is carried out. The measured modal characteristics were compared with those of FE Analysis. The ODS mode at rated speed is consistent with system natural frequency mode that is excited by bearings. To reduce vibration level, the isolation mount at system base is changed with new rubber mount for lower natural frequency.

  • The reduction of the structure-borne noise is very important in order to reduce the noise of a ship. The noise at the high frequency range usually comes from the fluid flowing. The noise from the sea-water conveying pipe is one of the main source on these high frequency range. Therefore, the transmissibility variations are evaluated according to the shape of the rubber mount. The evaluations are performed with the frequency response function numerically and experimentally.

  • The schematic design process is formulated to develop the vibroisolating rubber mount in optical disc drives. The dynamic model of vibration isolation system is established by using a rigid body with 6 degree of freedom and linear springs with damping property. Considering the practical vibration condition of DVDP(Digital Versatile Disk Player), the required properties of vibroisolating rubber mounts are investigated. Also finite element model of a vibroisolating rubber mount is used to obtain shape design concept and identify the characteristics of a rubber mount which satisfies the required properties from previous design stage. Finally the evaluation method of dynamic properties of vibroisolating rubber mounts is established by utilizing modal test method. Based on the developed process, vibroisolating rubber mounts with a good performance have been developed.

  • 본 논문은 엔진마운트에서 주기적인 미지의 외란에서 나타나는 시스템의 입출력으로부터의 시스템 동특성을 인식할 수 있는 응용가능성을 보여 주고자 한다. 일반적으로 외란 진동과 파장형태는 확실히 알려져 있지 않고 임의적으로 발생되고 있다. 단지 제어량인 입력과 외란이 섞여 있는 출력측정량만이 시스템인식을 위하여 사용될 뿐이다. 보다 일반화되어 개발된 시스템인식기술 알고리즘은 승용차 능동엔진마운트의 진동제어를 위하여 능동제어에 앞선 미지의 주기적외란을 포함한 동특성시스템에서의 수학적 모의시험을 통하여 시스템인식기술의 완벽성을 나타내고 있다.

  • In this article, the performances of acoustic enclosure with double resilient mount system which was designed by ADD to reduce the radiated noise by main noise source of ships, was tested and evaluated. From test results, it was verified that the acoustic performances of acoustic enclosure satisfied the requirements; vibration isolation level at 1st stage mount system of 15 ㏈ and airborne noise reduction level of 20 ㏈ in broad band.

  • In this paper, a model of an asymptotically reliable serial production line with quailty control devices is introduced and analyzed. By an asymptotic technique and Taylor series expansion, its average production rate is approximated in a closed form. The results are applied to a case study of a surface mount system.

  • Korea Astronomy Observatory(KAO) is working to retrofit its 1m robotic telescope in collaboration with a company (ACE, Astronomical Consultants & Equipment). The telescope system is being totally refurbished to make a fully automatic telescope which can operate in both interactive and fully autonomous robotic modes. Progress has been made in design and manufacturing of the telescope mount, mechanics, and optical performance system tests are being made for re-configured primary and secondary mirrors. The optical system is designed to collect 80% incident light within 0.5 arcsec with f/7.5 Ritchey-Chretien design. The telescope mount is an equatorial fork with a friction drive system. The design allows fully programmable tracking speeds with typical range of 15 arcsec/sec with accuracy of $\pm5$ arcsec/hour. The mount system has integral pointing model software to correct for refraction, and all mechanical errors and misalignments. The pointing model will permit positioning to better than 30 arcsec RMS within $75^{\circ}$ from zenith and 45 arcsec RMS elsewhere on the sky. The software is designed for interactive, remote and robotic modes of operation. In interactive and remote mode the user can manually enter coordinates or retrieve them from a computer file. In robotic mode the telescope controller downloads the coordinates in the order determined by the scheduler. The telescope will be equipped with a CCD camera and will be accessible via the internet.
