The purposes of this review are that 1) what is the the concept of motor control, 2) what is the content of motor control assessment, and 3) which instruments or scales are used in clinical setting. Motor control is defined broadly the control of both movement and posture. And motor control focuses on understanding the control of movement already acquired. The purposes of assessment are screening, placement to apprpriate treatment program, program plan, evaluation, and progress assessment for individuals. The content of motor control assessment is included not only fexibility, tone, reflex & reaction, muscle strength, movement pattern, balance, gait, and functional ability, but also cognition, arousal, sensation, and perception. There ars many kinds of instruments or scales for assessing motor ability. Most of materials are tested the validity and reliability. But Korea has not own instrument for assessing motor ability. Therefore, Korea needs to develop the assessing tools for motor ability.

The condition of a high voltage motor was monitored with the motor performance monitor (MPM) at the motor control center. The MPM detected defects in the rotor bar and end ring and input power according to motor and load conditions. The assessment of the condition of a coal pulverizer motor indicated it was clearly in good condition in terms of the rotor bars, over voltage, and motor performance. However, the side bands at frequency, 56.48 Hz indicated existence of rotor end-ring fault. The large torque ripple indicated abnormal operating conditions. After visual inspection, it has been observed that an impeller blade of the circulating water pump was broken off causing the irregular torque pattern.
This paper presents the event approach to motor skill acquisition as a theoretical treatment of the learning and relearning of motor skill. 1) The use of norm-referenced developmental assesment tools and standardized qualitative assessment tool is an important component of infant movement evaluation. 2) The kinesthetic modality relaying movement and position imformation to the central nervous system is important for the detection and corretion of movement error. 3) The event approach treats the actor and the environment as inseparable in the acquisition of skills. 4) Motoy learning focuses almost entirely on how the skill is learned, contRolled and reTained. 5) Developmental assessment have needed an assessment of motor development. 6) A significant difference was found between articulation disorders children and motor coordination problem. 7) verbal ability is not essential for the learning of motor skills. 8) The Control of motor skills is a cognitive ability.

Objective : The purpose of this study tried to present the performed average and range through systematic review about assessment tools that measures the praxis ability of sensory integrative function for foreign and domestic normal children. Methods: With making use of Medline, PubMed, Ovid, Eric, the Library of Congress, National Science and Technology Information Center, Kiss, RISS, and the Google search engine, we searched the name of assessment tool on the basis of the framework of the theory of sensory integration. Target paper was thesis and Journal published from January 2000 to April 2011. Results: Total of 24 papers were retrieved, used assessment tools were Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency (BOTMP), Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, Short Form (BOTMP-SF), Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, Second Edition (BOT-2), Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, Second Edition, Short Form (BOT-2-SF), Clinical Observations of Motor and Postural Skills (COMPS), Motor Assessment Battery for Children (MABC), Clinical Test of Sensory Interaction with Balance (CTSIB), and subtest of Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT). We presented the average and range of assessment tools applied to normal children in each country. Conclusion: A performed result in other cultural and domestic normal children which this study presented will provide a standard in comparison with performance of children with disabilities who are the actual clinical evaluation.
Purpose: In this study, the life of the motor is investigated by performing the accelerated life test with the brush wear of the industrial cleaner motor as the main failure mode. Methods: The accelerating stress factor of the accelerated life test is a voltage, which can increase the number of revolutions of the motor to accelerate the brush wear due to the friction between the brush and the commutator. Also, the accelerating stress level was determined after determining the maximum allowable level of the voltage through the preliminary test. Results: The motor failure time at each accelerating stress level was predicted by regression analysis with brush wear length as performance degradation data. The main failure mode, which is brush wear, of the motor was reproduced by this test. The shape parameter of the Weibull distribution was confirmed to be the same statistically at all accelerating stress levels by the likelihood ratio test. Conclusion: The life of the motor was investigated by performing the accelerated life test with the brush wear of the industrial cleaner motor as the main failure mode. Through the accelerating test method of the cleaner motor, various life expectancy and life expectancy of the acceleration factor are predicted.
Motor intentional disorders have been studied by visual examination methods such as cross-response task and Luria loop. To provide more analytical, quantitative information for motor intentional disorders, the present study developed a method which evaluates force control capabilities by the index finger. The assessment method analyzes the finger force control capabilities at four stages(initiation, development, maintenance, and termination) with NK Pinch-GripTM(force resolution= 0.098 N; temporal resolution=50Hz). By applying the assessment method, a patient(age=66) with callosal legion was compared with 6 healthy males(mean age=65.5, SD=2.8), showing significant but different decreases in force control capabilities depending on hand and response location. The assessment method would be of use to better understand various aspects of motor intentional disorders such as the effects of the disorders to the neurological network of the brain and severity assessment of the disorders.
Purpose : To verify the interrater reliability of upper extremity function assessment among three tools(Wolf motor function test, Motor assessment scale, Fugl-meyer assessment scale). Methods : The subjects of this study 40 (20 was physical therapists and 20 was physical therapy students). For the test one patients with chronic hemiparesis after stroke participated in the study. The Wolf Motor Function Test consists of 16 functional tasks. The motor assessment scale consists of 3 functional tasks. The fugl-meyer assessment scale consists of 8 functional tasks. All test sessions were videotaped and scored by 40 subjects. Analysis : The data was analysis by SPSS PC 14.0 with Cronbach alpha Coefficients, intraclass Correlation Coefficients Kendall tau-b value. Results : WMFT was highly scored in Cronbach's value, Cronbach's ${\alpha}=0.819$ that means high interrater reliability among assessment. WMFT was highly scored all items in p-value except one item, that means high p-value between therapists and students. WMFT was highly scored in Intrarater correlation coefficient (ICC) = 0.79, that means high interrater reliability of each examination item. WMFT was low index of coincidence from all items, MAS was low index of coincidence from a tim and FMA was low index of coincidence from 4 items. Conclusion : The interrater reliability of WMFT were compared with MAS, FMA and highly verified. WMFT can be more useful tool among upper extremity function assessment.

Currently the problem of air pollution caused by the motor vehicle emission is of the most serious problems to be solved. Life Cycle Assessment is a process to evaluate the environmental burdens associated with a product or process by identifying and quantifying energy and materials used and wasters to the environment. This paper establishes a Life Cycle Assessment Systems which satisfies the criteria motor vehicle emission for the automobile producers who are currently producing the automobiles with catalytic convert. This plan also considered the constraint of the effective motor vehicle emission by way of the exhaust gas recirculation, electronic fuel injection, closed loop carburetor. In order to develope the performance of the LCA systems, the recent emissions test data have also been applied. The result of the development LCA systems has proved that the LCA plans presented in this paper satisfies the criteria motor vehicle emission and will be contributed to constrain the motor vehicle emission most effectively.
Purpose: Our goal was to determine the difference in motor recovery between two stroke types: the corona radiata (CR) infarct type and the intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) type, by using assessment methods for motor functions. Methods: Forty subjects who were diagnosed as having had a stroke with an infarct (men: 11, women: 9, mean age: $62.25{\pm}7.59$) or a stroke with an ICH (men: 12, women: 8, mean age: $59.75{\pm}6.11$) were recruited. In all subjects, motor functions of the affected extremities were measured 2 times: at stroke onset (initial) and 6 months after the onset (final) by the motricity index (MI), the modified Brunnstrom classification (MBC), and functional ambulatory category (FAC). We compared the final assessment with the initial one. Results: Motor functions of all patients improved with the passing of time. All scores of motor function assessment in the ICH type were higher than in the infarct type. Comparing the initial assessment with the final one, upper MI and MBC scores of the upper extremities were significantly different between the two stroke types (p<0.05), but lower MI and FAC scores of the lower extremities were not (p>0.05). Conclusion: These findings imply that patterns of motor recovery in patients with either the infarct type or the ICH type of stroke change for the better over time. The degree of motor recovery in the ICH type was better than in the infarct type. Therefore, one can introduce clinical interventions by the aspect of progress in functional motor recovery.
