고밀도 성능향상을 위한 다중연산구조기반의 움직임추정 프로세서 (An Improving Motion Estimator based on multi arithmetic Architecture)

  • In this paper, acquiring the more desirable to adopt design SoC for the fast hierarchical motion estimation, we exploit foreground and background search algorithm (FBSA) base on the dual arithmetic processor element(DAPE). It is possible to estimate the large search area motion displacement using a half of number PE in general operation methods. And the proposed architecture of MHME improve the VLSI design hardware through the proposed FBSA structure with DAPE to remove the local memory. The proposed FBSA which use bit array processing in search area can improve structure as like multiple processor array unit(MPAU).

  • This paper proposes a new linear recursive target state estimator for automotive collision warning system. The target motion is modeled in Cartesian coordinate system while the radar measurements such as range, line-of-sight angle and range rate are obtained in polar coordinate system. To solve the problem by nonlinear relation between these two coordinate system, a practical linear filter design scheme employing the predicted line-of-sight Cartesian coordinate system (PLCCS) is proposed. Especially, PLCCS can effectively incorporate range rate measurements into target tracking system. It is known that the utilization of range rate measurements enables the improvement of target tracking performance. Moreover, PLCCS based target tracking system is implemented by linear recursive filter structure and hence is more suitable scheme for the development of reliable collision warning system. The performance of the proposed method is demonstrated by computer simulations.

  • This paper presents steering controller for unintended lane departure avoidance under crosswind using vehicle lateral disturbance estimation. Vehicles exposed to crosswind are more likely to deviate from lane, which can lead to accidents. To prevent this, a lateral disturbance estimator and steering controller for compensating disturbance have been proposed. The disturbance affecting lateral motion of the vehicle is estimated using Kalman filter, which is on the basis of the 2-DOF bicycle model and Electric Power Steering (EPS) module. A sliding mode controller is designed to avoid unintended the lane departure using the estimated disturbance. The controller is based on the 2-DOF bicycle model and the vision-based error dynamic model. A torque controller is used to provide appropriate assist torque to driver. The performance of proposed estimator and controller is evaluated via computer simulation using Matlab/Simulink.

Crack Detection, Localization and Estimation of the Depth In a Turbo Rotor

  • The goal of this paper is to describe an advanced method of a crack detection: a new way to localize position and to estimate depth of a crack on rotating shaft. As a first step, the shaft is physically modelled with a finite element method and the dynamic mathematical model is derived using the Hamilton principle; thus, the system is represented by various subsystems. The equations of motion of the shaft with a crack are established by adapting the local stiffness change through breathing and gaping from the crack to an undamaged shaft. This is the reference system for the given system. Based on a model for transient behavior induced from vibration measured at the bearings, a nonlinear state observer is designed to detect cracks on the shaft. This is the elementary NL-observer (Beo). Using the observer, an Estimator (Observer Bank) is established and arranged at the certain position on the shaft. When a crack position is localized, the procedure for estimating of the depth is engaged.

  • In this paper, we propose an adaptive control algorithm to improve the position accuracy and reduce the nonlinear friction effects for linear motion servo system. Especially, the considered system includes not only the variation of the mass of the mover but also the friction change by the normal force. To adapt to these problems, we designed the controller with the mass estimator and the compensator by observing the variation of normal force. Finally, the numerical simulation results are presented in order to show the effectiveness of the proposed method to improve the position accuracy compared to other control methods.

  • In this paper, we introduce an adaptive control method to improve the position accuracy and reduce nonlinear friction effects for the linear motion servo system with the nonlinear friction. The considered system plant included not only the variation of the mass of mover but also the friction change by the normal force. We also designed an adaptive controller with the mass estimator and the compensator by observing the variation of normal force. The effectiveness and system performances for the proposed control method in this paper show to improve than other control methods through numerical simulations.

다중연산구조기반의 고밀도 성능향상을 위한 움직임추정의 디인터레이싱 방법 (Deinterlacing Method for improving Motion Estimator based on multi arithmetic Architecture)

  • 본 논문에서는 필드/프레임의 공간적, 시간적 움직임 특성을 활용한 디인터레이스드 기법을 이용해 재구성된 영상프레임으로부터 넓은 탐색영역에서의 움직임추정이 가능한 이중연산구조 기반의 다해상도 계층적 움직임 추정 방식(multi- resolution hierarchical motion estimation, MHME)의 효율적인 다중연산구조 기반의 움직임 추정을 제안한다. 공간적, 시간적 움직임 특성으로부터 디인터레이스드 기법을 적용하여 재구성된 영상프레임으로부터는 계층적 움직임 추정방식을 적용하여 빠른 움직임 영역에서도 화질의 열화가 거의 없는 다해상도 계층적 움직임 추정(MHME) 영상처리를 구현하였고, 비교적 높은 PSNR을 얻을 수 있었다. 다양한 모드 M=2 또는 M=3의 여러 가지 모의실험을 통해 제안된 구조가 전역탐색 블록정합 알고리듬(Full-search Block Matching Algorithm, FBMA)에 대하여 예측성능에 있어 최고 1.49dB(CAR), 최저0.421dB(Mobile & Calendar)의 모의실험결과 평균 -0.7dB 정도의 미소한 평균 PSNR 저하를 나타내었다. 이의 구현을 위해 제안된 전역/후역 탐색방식의 연산처리방식은 하나의 처리기소자(Processor Element, PE)에 이중연산처리기(DAPE) 구조를 채택하여 제한된 PE로부터 넓은 탐색영역에서의 움직임 추정이 가능한 전역/후역 탐색방식(Foreground & Background Search Algorithm, FBSA)의 비트 처리열 탐색 알고리듬을 제안 적용하여 움직임추정 연산의 성능을 구조적으로 향상시키는 다중프로세서 어레이 구조(Multiple Processor Array Unit, MPAU)를 개발 제안하였다.

  • This paper presents a digital motion control system for Reluctance Synchronous Motor (RSM) drives with direct torque control (DTC). The system consists of stator flux observer, torque estimator: two hysteresis band controllers, an optimal switching look-up table, IGBT voltage source inverter(VSI), and TMS320C31 DSP controller by using fully integrated control software. The stator flux observer is based on the combined voltage and current model with stator flux feedback adaptive control of which inputs are current, voltage and actual rotor angle for wide speed range. In order to prove the suggested motion control algorithm, There are some simulation and testing at actual experimental system. The developed digitally high-performance motion control system are shown a good motion control response characteristic results and high performance features using 1.0Kw RSM.

움직임벡터차에 기반한 고속 움직임 추정 방법 (Fast Motion Estimation Method Based on Motion Vector Differences)

  • 본 논문은 움직임벡터차의 확률을 이용하여 움직임 탐색 범위를 결정하는 새로운 고속 움직임 추정 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 일종의 적응적 탐색영역 방법이다. 움직임벡터차의 분포에 대한 조사하고 그 분포의 파라미터를 최대우도추정방법으로 추정한다. 이 추정된 분포를 이용하여 탐색 범위는 움직임벡터차의 지정된 확률에 의해 효과적으로 제한될 수 있음을 보인다. 실험적으로 제안된 방법의 성능이 화질면에서 전역탐색법과 유사하며 복잡도 면에서는 중대한 감소를 입증하였다. 뿐만 아니라, 제안된 방법이 기존의 적응적 탐색영역 방법에 비해 훨씬 더 효과적으로 탐색영역을 결정함을 보여주었다.

  • This paper presents preliminarily an implementation of digital high-performance motion control system of Reluctance Synchronous Motor (RSM) drives with direct torque control (DTC). The system consist of stator flux observer, torque estimator, two hysteresis band controllers, an optimal switching look-up table, IGBT voltage source inverter, and TMS320F240 DSP controller made by Texas Instruments. The stator fluff observer is based on the combined voltage and current model with stator flux feedback adaptive control, and the input of the observer are the stator voltage and current of motor terminal for wide speed range. The rotor position and speed sensor used 6000 pulse/rev encoder. In order to prove rightness of the suggested control algorithm, we have some simulation and actual experimental system at $\pm$20 and $\pm$2000 rpm. The developed digitally high-performance motion control system+ are shown a good response characteristic of control results and high performance features using 1.0kW RSM which has 2.57 Ld/Lq salient ratio.
