고속도로 생태통로 위치 선정 방법에 관한 연구 - 경부 고속도로 양재-판교 구간을 중심으로 - (Approach to the Location of Wildlife Corridors on Highways - Between Yang-jae and Pan-gyo ICs of Seoul-Busan Highway, Korea -)

  • Ecosystem fragmentation by human intervention breaks down the biosphere habitat. Wildlife corridors connect biosphere habitats to maintain ecosystem continuity and provide animals with connecting routes. In Korea, there are 17 existing wildlife corridors on highways (as of December, 2006. Korea Freeway Corporation). There are 24 highway routes, 2,923km of highway(as of December, 2004. Korea Freeway Corporation). However, wildlife corridors are not enough and roadkill increases every year, so we need to construct additional wildlife corridors on highways. This study proposes a new approach to the location of wildlife corridors on highways, using a comprehensive analysis method for main location elements, and applies it to a study area. First, it examines traditional approaches to location of wildlife corridors through literature review and field study to analyze the present conditions of existing wildlife corridors. Then, it developes a comprehensive analysis method for the location of wildlife corridors. (1) Field investigation : investigate planting, water bodies and so on. (2) Roadkill analysis : roadkill counts, locations, time, and so on. (3) Monitoring : animal traces were surveyed and sensor cameras were installed to determine target species. (4) Simulation for animal movement : most probable wildlife dispersal was simulated by a computer software. (5) A new comprehensive approach overlays all analysis on a map and determines the location of proposed new wildlife corridors. In conclusion, it proposes an over-bridge type wildlife corridor in Dalnaenae Hill (413-414km from Busan) and an underpass type near the entrance to Gwanhyun temple way (415-416km from Busan). This new approach based on roadkill data, computer simulation of wildlife dispersal, monitoring of animals, and site analysis, may contribute to better location of wildlife corridors on highways.

저전력 기반의 USN 단말 위치 인식 및 모니터링 시스템 (The USN Node Location Recognition and Monitoring System Based on Low Power)

  • 본 논문은 유비쿼터스 센서 네트워크에서 센트로이드 위치 인식 방법을 개선하여 저전력 위치인식 방법을 제안하였다. 기존의 지그비 단말 위치 인식은 3개의 비컨으로부터 받아들여지는 RSSI 값을 활용하는 방법이었다. 그러나 보행자가 노드가 되어 움직일 때, USN 단말의 움직임 속도는 빠르지 않다. 따라서 세 지점 중 한 지점의 RSSI 값을 바로 이전에 받았던 값을 이용하여도 오차 범위는 크지 않다. 이러한 핸드오프를 이용하여 기존 방식보다 약 30%의 전력 이득을 보고, 색상에 의한 노드 영역 검색이 가능한 모니터링 시스템을 구현하였다.

  • In a nuclear power plant, loose part monitoring and its diagnostic technique is one of the major issues for ensuring the structural integrity of the reactor system. Typically, accelerometers are mounted on the surface of a reactor vessel to localize impact location caused by the impact of metallic substances on the reactor system. However, in some cases, the number of the accelerometers is not enough to estimate the impact location precisely. In such a case, one of alternative plan is to utilize another type sensors that can measure the vibration of the reactor structure even though the measuring frequency ranges are different from each others. The AE sensors installed on the reactor structure can be utilized as additional sensors for loose part monitoring. In this paper, we proposed a new method to estimate impact location by using both accelerometer signal and AE signal, simultaneously. The feasibility of the proposed method is verified by an experiment. The experimental results demonstrate that we can enhance the reliability and precision of the loose part monitoring.

상수관망에서 누수탐지를 위한 역추적계산법 (Back Tracing Calculation Method for the Leakage Detection in Water Distribution System)

  • In this study, Back Tracing Calculation Method was developed to determine the leakage location and leakage amount. Previously developed determination method of monitoring location and newly developed Back Tracing Calculation Method were applied to the sample pipe network and real size pilot plant. After leakage was assumed in the pilot plant, leakage location and leakage amount could be traced by Back Tracing Calculation Method. From the results, it was found that Back Tracing Calculation Method can be applied for the leakage detection in water distribution system. Furthermore, this method can be applied for the pressure management or leakage detection as a pressure control method in water distribution system.

  • Pre schools with state of the art facilities that would provide not just academic excellence but also ensure the safety and provide efficient healthcare to their pupils relative to Atopic Dermatitis with Asthma is the main objective of this research One of the most promising applications of sensor networks is for human healthcare monitoring. Due to recent technological advances in sensor, low power microelectronics and miniaturization, and wireless networking enable the design and proliferation of this wireless sensor networks capable of autonomously monitoring and controlling environments. Thus, this research presents the utilization of such microelectronic sensor and plots the hardware and software architecture of a wireless sensor network system with real-time pupil monitoring that integrates vital sign sensors, location sensor and allergen sensor. This proposed architecture for wearable sensors can be used as active tags which can track pupil's location within the school's premises, identify possible atopic dermatitis with asthma allergens, it would monitor and generate a health status report of the pupil.

  • This paper proposes the new adaptive gain control monitoring sensor for the marine IT system. The marine IT system sensors make it possible to conduct search missions, record climate changes, provide pollution control, study marine life, conduct survey missions, tactical surveillance, and predict natural disturbances in the ocean. In this paper, the adaptive gain control circuit which changes its parameters according to the ambient noise situation for obtaining the precise location information of marine IT system sensor is developed and analyzed. The performance characteristics for ensuring the precise location information of marine system sensor is presented and analyzed. The theoretical and experimental studies have been carried out. The presented results from the above investigation show considerably excellent performance for the monitoring of the marine system.

  • Development of safety monitoring system for workers in the ship building industry is currently under progress using RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) for successful development of the U-BUSS(Ubiquitous- Safety User Safety System). For decades, RFID technology has become a key technology to provide the real-time location system of worker and is variously used for safety monitoring system to increase productivity, improve the blasting quality and enhance the safety of working condition in the ship building industry In this paper, 2.45GHz band RTLS(Real Time Location System) technologies and the ubiquitous safety monitoring system of the ship yard's blasting cell are described.

A MONITORING METHOD OF PROJECT PROGRESS WITH RFID TECHNOLOGY

  • In this paper, the authors explained the overview of a method for detecting location of worker for development of a monitoring system for project progress management using RFID technology. Data is the RSSI (Receive Signal Strength Indication) from RFID tag attached to the worker installing a rolling shutter, and was obtained from antennas and RFID readers set around the construction site. Neural network was done using RSSI collected and the area where worker is performing a task, and an estimation model of the working area was prepared. The network had a range of the percentage of correctly classified from 62% to 92%. The authors suggested the method to make estimate by using integrated networks prepared in respect of RFID readers, and showed the percentage of correctly classified of 84.3%. According to the result, the authors confirmed the possibility of the monitoring system with RFID technology, and mentioned the factors necessary to develop for further practical use.

공간 보간법을 이용한 도시지역 미세먼지 측정소의 배치 적절성 평가 (Assessment of PM-10 Monitoring Stations in Daegu using GIS Interpolation)

  • 본 연구에서는 대기분야에 GIS를 적용하여 대구지역 미세먼지(PM-10) 측정소의 위치가 적절한지 평가하고, 공중보건과 밀접한 관련이 있는 PM-10을 관리하기 위한 적합한 장소를 모색하였다. 대구시에는 총 11개의 도시대기측정소가 있으며 측정된 자료는 전체적인 PM-10 오염현황파악에 사용되고 있다. 그러나 기존의 대기오염 자동측정소는 측정기기의 배치상의 문제점을 자주 노출해 왔다. 따라서 본 연구는 GIS 보간법인 IDW와 Kriging 기법을 활용하여 대구지역 PM-10 농도지도를 작성하였다. 그 후, 대역분석을 통해 법정동별 평균 PM-10오염농도를 산출한 뒤, 기존 설치된 측정소가 저오염지역과 고오염지역 전반에 걸쳐 고르게 분포하고 있는지 평가하였다. 연도별, 계절별, 요일별 각 측정기간별로 살펴본 결과 대구광역시에 설치된 PM-10 대기측정소는 다양한 농도를 대표하기에는 부족한 부분이 있었다. 이러한 부족 부분을 보강하기 위하여, 각 평가단계마다 공통적으로 선정된 7개 지역(남산동, 남일동, 동일동, 북성로 1가, 종로 2가, 향촌동, 화전동)이 PM-10을 위한 추가설치지점으로 제안된다. 나아가, 대구지역 뿐만 아니라 타 도시에서도 공중의 보건을 위해 측정소의 구체적인 설치 장소 선정 및 추가설치가 필요할 것이라 제안된다.
