  • This research has a purpose of constructing the data monitoring system that makes two-tier work state in the brick production factory to unification by reusing cinder. Monitoring system automatically manages data by using data managing processes such as a state managing process, a location managing process, a badness managing process, a circumstances managing process. In this research, the data management monitoring system manufactures state information of each processes received from RFID and transmits them to data monitoring system. Analyzed data through this system reuses the cinder, so it can effectively manage the production process of the factory which produces bricks through processing automation, faulty-ratio minimization, real-time monitoring and loading managing.

  • The existing ship monitoring system currently in use has a limitation, which is that it can only identify a boat's location for finding a safe harbor or give an answer to a rescue signal. In addition to this, it is very difficult to add an expensive, more effective monitoring system to small boats because of their small infrastructure in comparison with large boats. Therefore, this study suggests that a new model could be required to better cater to the needs of small boats. The 'Smart Care System', based on location, is better able to monitor the boat and the crew of small boats in comparison with the existing ship monitoring system. Using biomedical data transmission equipment, it is able to survey and send biomedical data so that it can continuously monitor the crew's health. The boat has an intelligent interface device, which has the functions of GPS and attitude sensors, and a web based management system. We have conducted three experiments for the assessment of this system. The experiment of biological data transmission had a success rate of 98 percent, and the tests conducted for recognizing emergency situations also had a 98 percent success rate. In conclusion we confirmed the efficiency of this system.

  • Objectives: There are many hazardous agents at livestock farms. In particular, gases can be detrimental to both workers and animals. This study evaluated ammonia and hydrogen sulfide concentrations in broiler hen barns and beef cattle barns according to sampling location and height. Methods: Three broiler hen barns and three beef cattle barns were selected for gas monitoring in this study. Ammonia and hydrogen sulfide concentrations were measured using a direct-reading instrument which could measure the target gases simultaneously. Gas monitoring was conducted at human breathing height and animal breathing height at three points in each livestock farm. Results: Ammonia concentrations at the broiler hen barns ranged from 3.3 to 12.5 ppm by sampling location and height, but hydrogen sulfide was not detected. In the beef cattle barns, ammonia ranged from 3.1 to 16.3 ppm and low concentrations of hydrogen sulfide were detected at some animal breathing heights. The gas concentrations detected at each livestock farm were significantly higher in the animal breathing zones than in human breathing zones (p<0.0001). Conclusions: We found a difference in gas concentrations between human breathing zones and animal breathing zones. Gas monitoring should be conducted to improve the related environment considering both workers' and animals' health and safety.

  • This paper constructs a real-time monitoring system that can identify the individual positions of infants and their proximity to other infants using an Internet of Things (IoT)-based nameplate. The system consists of a precision location tracking module, a data transmission system for calculating gateway location information, a service platform server, and a data analysis processing module considering the development of infants and young children. The purpose of this study is to extract information about how infants interact with each other. The information gathered through this system can be used as important information to improve the peer relations of all infants and toddlers, from neglected infants to infants with no social development problems, to more popular infants. It is possible, based on the proximity information between infants and toddlers, that the teacher can identify positive interactions or negative interactions, and can educate infants on how to improve their peer relationships. These results can be used for consultation with parents, and the information collected through this system can be used as a database to establish a system for improving the relationships between infants and toddlers.

  • Though many techniques for the damage assessment of structures have been studied recently, most of them can be only applied to simple structures. Therefore, practical damage assessment techniques that evaluate the damage location and the damage state for large structures need to be developed. In this study, a damage assessment technique using a neural network is developed, in which the bilevel damage assessment procedure is proposed to evaluate the damage of a large structure from the limited monitoring data. The procedure is as follows ; first, for the rational selection of damage critical members, the members that affect the probability of failure or unusual structural behavior are selected by sensitivity analysis. Secondly, the monitoring points and the number of sensors that are sensitive to the damage severity of the selected members are also selected through the sensitivity analysis with a proposed sensitivity measurement format. The validity and applicability of the developed technique are demonstrated by various examples, and it has been shown that the practical information on the damage state of the selected critical members can be assessed even though the limited monitoring data have been used.

  • In this paper, a real time diagnostic algorithm for estimating the impact location by loose parts is proposed. It is composed of two modules such as the alarm discrimination module (ADM) and the impact-location estimation module(IEM). First, ADM decides whether the detected signal that triggers the alarm is the impact signal by loose parts or the noise signal. Second, IEM by use of the arrival time method estimates the impact location of loose parts. In order to validate the application of this method, the test experiment with a mock-up (flat board and reactor) system is performed. The experimental results show the efficiency of this algorithm even under high level noise and potential application to Loose Part Monitoring System (LPMS) for improving diagnosis capability in nuclear power plants.

  • The location template matching (LTM) method is a technique of identifying an impact location on a structure, and is often applied to structural health monitoring and large scale human-computer interface (HCI) systems. The LTM method utilizes a certain measure of similarity between two time signals. The correlation coefficient is most widely used for this purpose, and the group delay based method is recently proposed to improve the accuracy of finding the best matching pair of signals. In practice, one of key essential consideration for implementing the LTM method is to guarantee that a sufficient number of vibration modes must be contained in the measured signal, and yet the lower sampling rate is needed for a real-time implementation. In this paper, the properties of correlation coefficient and group delay with respect to the number of vibration modes are investigated. A few important results are obtained through extensive computer simulations and experiments. If the number of vibration modes contained in the measured signal is more than four it is sufficient for the correlation based LTM method, while the group delay based LTM method requires smaller number of vibration modes.

  • Recently, the missing due to the heinous crimes occurred in succession has been the focus of attention, so measures for these are urgently needed. So, it is necessary that we need to check and take care the weak like children, women, the elderly with dementia and insane person to prevent these social problems. This study is location-based service that suggests the tracking system and way to guard a family and property from the various risk factors which are possible in our life. To acquire the location of the user who is in motion, a communications network technologies were integrated and the system will be able to be monitoring in real time through the website. So, it is convenient and safe because it is possible to use anywhere. Concretely, it was described around location-based service, GPS system, tracking system, process of the service solution and composition for the system. Also, the way to activate the system will be suggested. The final suggested system was verified the possibility through the placement. With this, i will offer effective measures which is more convenient to use and reliable.

  • In this paper, a real time diagnostic algorithm fur estimating the impact location by loose parts is proposed. It is composed of two modules such as the alarm discrimination module (ADM) and the impact-location estimation module(IEM). ADM decides whether the detected signal that triggers the alarm is the impact signal by loose parts or the noise signal. When the decision from ADM is concluded as the impact signal, the beginning time of burst-type signal, which the impact signal has usually such a form in time domain, provides the necessary data fur IEM. IEM by use of the arrival time method estimates the impact location of loose parts. The overall results of the estimated impact location are displayed on a computer monitor by the graphical mode and numerical data composed of the impact point, and thereby a plant operator can recognize easily the status of the impact event. This algorithm can perform the diagnosis process automatically and hence the operator's burden and the possible operator's error due to lack of expert knowledge of impact signals can be reduced remarkably.
