  • Recently, micro-nano system is fabricated by photolithograph method. This method can not have mass production, so this method wastes time and human effort. accordingly, the aim of this paper is to research on injection molding of micro-nano system. For injection molding process, development of micro-nano mold is required. Mold for injection mold process is maintained its shape in high pressure and temperature. So in this paper, we studied the simulation of mold fur injection molding and then we consider a result of injection molding simulation.

  • The paper presents our study of development for multi-cavity preform mold system which consists of hot runner system and valve gate. For this purpose, stretching blow molding process and preform injection process were simulated by Polyflow and Moldflow. Based on various results of the preform injection process analysis, process planning was established. The sectional thickness distribution of preform was optimized. Preform injection mold system was designed by these technical analysis data. Finally, 24-cavity preform mold system was successfully developed.

  • 본 연구에서는 사출금형의 공정설계 전문가시스템의 개발에 대한 연구의 일부 로서, 구체적으로는 구조가 비교적 간단하고 의사결정 규칙의 획득이 용이한 받침판이 없는 2단 사출금형을 대상으로 하여 CLIPS를 사용하여 개인용 컴퓨터에서 실행이 가능 한 공정설계 전문가시스템을 개발하여 실제 사출금형 공정설계에 적용하여 그 유효성 을 평가하였다.

  • Mold making and product manufacturing process was made by a die through a number of stages. Thereby, it takes a long period of time from the manufacture of mold until passed the products to consumers. However, it is not possible to meet the diverse desires purchasing of consumer. We made a 3D CAD Model aligned with product scan data using reverse engineering. Utilizing thereafter flow analysis to derive the optimal mold conditions, by applying the condition, and devised a mold fabrication process that is much shorter than the conventional process for fabricating a mold. In this study, the outlet cover to the product, it describes a process, as a result, it was confirmed that the number of steps can be shortened much more than the conventional process.

  • The mold filling process has been a central issue in the development of numerical methods to solve the casting processes. A mold filling which is inherently transient free surface fluid flow, is important because the quality of casting highly depends on such phenomenon, Most of the existing numerical schemes to solve mold filling process have severe limitations in time step restrictions or Courant criteria since explicit time integration is used. Therefore, a large computation time is required to analyze casting processes. In this study, the well known SOLA-VOF method has been modified implicitly to simulate the mold filling process. Solutions to example filling problems show that the proposed method is more efficient in computation time than the original SOLA -VOF method.

  • This paper describes an ontology-based intelligent CAD system for injection mold design, which has been developed based on a commercial CAD system called Unigraphics and an ontological framework for representing the implicit design knowledge as well as the explicit based on the extended function-behavior-structure (FBS) engineering design model that includes the constraint. The system also provides various convenient solid modeling capabilities for mold design and the design process modeling capability that facilitates mold redesign process.

사출성형공정 모니터링용 엣지 디바이스 개발 및 평가 (Development and evaluation of edge devices for injection molding monitoring)

  • In this study, an edge device that monitors the injection molding process by measuring the mold vibration(acceleration) signal and the mold surface temperature was developed and evaluated its performance. During injection molding, signals of the injection start, V/P switchover, and packing end sections were obtained through the measurement of the mold vibration and the injection time and packing time were calculated by using the difference between the times of the sections. Then, the mold closed and mold open signals were obtained using a magnetic hall sensor, and cycle time was calculated by using the time difference between the mold closed time each process. As a result of evaluating the performance by comparing the process data monitored by the edge device with the shot data recorded on the injection molding machine, the cycle time, injection time, and packing time showed very small error of 0.70±0.38%, 1.40±1.17%, and 0.69±0.82%, respectively, and the values close to the actual were monitored and the accuracy and reliability of the edge device were confirmed. In addition, it was confirmed that the mold surface temperature measured by the edge device was similar to the actual mold surface temperature.

  • Recently, when a new component of construction equipment is designed, a stamping process capable of producing parts having high appearance quality and precision has been gaining attention. However, in general, as it is developed based on existing parts made by welding metal sheets and tubes, frequent to die modification occurs, which increases the time and cost of developing new parts. Thus, it is necessary to reduce the cost by shortening the die development period. In this study, a stamping process was designed for the urea tank cover, which is a part for excavators, to reduce the die development period through sheet metal forming analysis. The stamping process was designed by determining the blank holding force after selecting the initial blank shape and size. The round value at the corner was modified such that formability is ensured. After selecting process parameters, the thickness reduction rate and spring-back effect were reviewed.

  • The target of this paper is the development of Web-based monitoring & control system which is for effective and economic management of mold manufacturing process. This system has three module; G-code Control, Monitoring Module and Result analysis module. Also, as the environment of development is based on internet, this system which is possible to the remote site management of manufacturing process works on Web. To be possible to control the manufacturing monitoring by client, each module is made ActiveX control and is based on socket communication. This system makes the foundation which is possible to manage the mold manufacturing process efficiently from remote site by matching real-time monitoring with manufacturing process in factory using G-code control and displaying the result of manufacturing using Ch-CGI.
