  • The current automotive is seeking the improvement of performance, the prevention of environmental pollution and the saving of energy resources according to miniaturization and lightweight of the components. And the variance analysis on the basis of structure analysis and DOE is applied to the lower control am. We have proposed a statistical design model to evaluate the effect of structural modification by performing the practical multi-objective optimization considering weight, stress and fatigue lift. The lower control arm is performed the fatigue analysis using the load history of real road test. The design model is determined using the optimization of acquired load history with the fatigue characteristic. The characteristic function is made use of the optimization according to fatigue characteristics to consider constrained function in the optimization of DOE. The structure optimization of a lower control arm according to fatigue characteristics is performed. And the optimized design variable is D=47 m, T=36mm, W=12 mm. In the real engineering problem of considering many objective functions, the multi-objective optimization process using the mathematical programming and the characteristic function is derived an useful design solution.

  • Connection management function of the TINA which is developed by TINA-C provides network connection services such as setup modification and release of connections. The connection management function provides these services to network operators to the fault management function that provides backup-path and to the performance management function that provides load-balancing. The connection management function necessarily requires a routing algorithm to set up a new connection. In this paper we propose a new routing algorithm named QTHR (QoS and Traffic parameter based Hierarchical Routing) for TINA based connection management of ATM/B-ISDN network. And we implemented the QTHR and analyzed the performance of the QTHR.

  • To design a controller based on the pole placement method, it is necessary to obtain either a target transfer function or a desired characteristic equation which results in the closed-loop response. Specially, a step response in which no overshoot occurs in highly desirable in many applications. In this paper, we present two new present two new prototypes of Type I target transfer functions whose step responses have an overshoot of less than 0.1%. One prototype is obtained by Taylor's approximation of a Gaussian function. It is, however, observed that the response delays increase with increasing order, while the rise times are nearly constant. The other prototype is a modification of the first prototype, so that their transfer function coefficients have particular values in terms of specific parameters ${\gamma}$i and $\tau$ (see section 2). The second prototype gives very useful properties in which step responses are almost the same shape, irrespective of the order. It, also, has no overshoot. Some other properties of the prototypes and an application example are given.

  • Software industry has put more emphasis on maintenance and enhancement work than on the new development. The existing effort estimation models can still be applied to maintenance projects, though modifications are needed. This paper suggests a way to estimate the size of a maintenance project from the regression analysis of ISBSG's benchmarking data. First of all, among the 3 elements(addition, modification and deletion of the program) which influences the software cost, we selected and classified 4 groups from a total of 8 which shows actual maintenance cost from ISBSG's data. Moreover, we developed statistical model and a model which uses RBF(Radial Basis Function) Network and after evaluating each functions we concluded that the RBF Network is superior to the statistical model.

  • This paper presents an application of back propagation neural network to the tracking control of line of sight stabilization system. We design a neuro-control system having two neural networks one for learning system dynamics and the other for control. We use a learning method which adjusts learning rate and momentem as a function of plant output error and error change.

  • In this paper, we introduce a Stancu type generalization of genuine LupaŞ-Beta operators of integral type. We establish some moment estimates and the direct results in terms of classical modulus of continuity, Voronovskaja-type asymptotic theorem, weighted approximation, rate of convergence and pointwise estimates using the Lipschitz type maximal function. Lastly, we propose a king type modification of these operators to obtain better estimates.

  • Case hardening behavior of tool steel(SK5) was investigated after YAG laser irradiation. In the case of beam passes, martensite formed in the melt zone and in former pearlite regions of the austenization zone exhibited very high Vickers Hardness values. The molten depth and radius, micro structure, hardness were investigated as a function of defocusing distance, pulse width, and power density.

  • The legacy Residential Gateway (RG) which constitutes fixed WAN interfaces and LAN interfaces, is at a disadvantage due to difficult modification of a system. In this paper, we propose the flexible module-based RG on the basis of the RG standardization and demonstrate the prototype system, whose function is verified by the home automation application.
