The purpose of this study was to identify the perceptional patterns of Korean traditional food and to compare the preference and intake frequencies of daily traditional Korean food among the identified perceptional patterns in the Yuabian area. Data were collected from 261 Korean housewives in Yanbian and underwent cluster and group mean analysis. The results revealed two different patterns: tradition-oriented vs. modem-oriented. Descriptive statistics showed that perceptional patterns are likely to vary depending on socio-demographic background as well as the preference and intake frequencies of daily traditional food. Similarities and differences in these perceptional patterns, the preference and the intake frequencies of traditional daily food are discussed, and future implications for food nutritionists and Asia marketers are presented.

Objective : We proposed fundamental rules of prospective Korean Standard Classification of Diseases(Oriental Medicine). Methods : We analysed Korean Standard Classification of Diseases(Oriental Medicine)(established in 1994) in comparison with ICD-10 and Chinese Standard Classification of Disease(Traditional Chinese Medicine). Secondly, we analysed the diagnostic structure of Modem oriental medicine. Results : Korean Standard Classification of Diseases has an inappropriate writing structure, logical errors of classification, confusion of symptoms, 'bing', and 'zheng', inappropriate comparison of disease designations in oriental medicine and western medicine, and the ommission of important items. Secondly, we demonstrate the relations of 'bing' and 'zheng' in modem oriental medicine and disease designations in oriental medicine and western medicine. Conclusions : We propose the separate classification of 'bing' and 'zheng', the qualification of designated names, the structure of 'bing' and 'zheng' system, and a different writing method.

본 논문에서는 가정용 계량기의 데이터를 PC로 모니터링할 수 있도록, 전력선 통신(PLC : Power Line Communication) 모뎀과 데이터 수집 장치 (DCU : Data Concentrator Unit)를 적용한 시스템을 구현하였다. 전력선 통신 모뎀은 기존의 전력선에 데이터를 실어 보내는 기술로 별도의 신호선 설치에 대한 부담을 개선한다. 본 시스템은 가정용 계량기의 데이터를 수집하여, 각 가정의 전, 현 월 사용 전력량을 서버용 PC로 확인하여 요금 관리, 고장 관리를 편리하도록 한다.

The purpose of this study is to examine orientalism in Korean modem fashion by Korean fashion designers. Orientalism in fashion has been widely known to people by the efforts of many researchers, but that in Korean fashion wasn't. We thus study the aesthetic meaning of Korean orientalism, and extend it to oriental fashion as well as meaning of modem orientalism shown in Korean fashion. For this study, we categorized the orientalism in Korean fashion as follows: 1) mix orientalism; 2) natural beauty with non technical skill; 3) humorous beauty; 4) color beauty.

방송과 초고속인터넷 서비스를 동시에 제공할 수 있는 HFC(Hybrid Fiber Coaxial) 망은 상/하향이 비대칭 구조이며, 하향속도에 비해 상향속도가 1/10 수준이어서 상향 트래픽이 과다하게 생성될 경우 인터넷속도 지연이 발생한다. 지연에 민감한 VoIP 서비스의 품질보장 방안으로는, DOCSIS(Data Over Cable System Interface Specification) 1.1 기반의 상향 스케쥴링 기능을 이 용한 VoCM(Voice Over Cable Modem)이 있다. 그러나 별도의 VoCM을 사용해야 하며 아날로그 전화기를 사용해 IP 기반의 VoIP 단말을 사용할 수 없다는 단점이 있다. 일반 CM(Cable Modem)에 DOCSIS 1.1 Config File을 이용하여 VoIP 품질을 보장할 경우 별도의 트래픽 대역을 항상 점유해야 하는 단점이 있다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 효율적 대역폭 이용과 단말장비에 종속적이지 않은 방안을 제안하고 일반 CM을 통한 유무선 환경하에서 Dynamic QoS(Quality Of Service)를 제공할 수 있는 PCMM(Packet Cable MultiMedia) 적용 방안 및 시험결과에 대해 고찰하고자 한다.

In the 21st century modem architecture, not only environmental problems and sustainable development but also two subjects, 'Globalization' and 'Localization', have become important issues. The modern application of vernacular design which is the design model including the characteristics of region, a people and tradition can be a solution for localization and sustainable development. Vernacular design gives many ideas in respect of organic art and design, the dilemma of modern architecture, and practical solution of its problems, and is considered as an important resource of modern ecological architecture. This study aims to investigate the meaning and types of vernacular design and confirm the development possibility of this design as the important element of modem regional ecological architecture. In addition, through case studies, it will demonstrate that the regional ecological architecture based on vernacular design can solve new multidimensional architectural problems in the 21st century.

One of the big difference between Aalto and other modem architects lies in an attitude that Aalto went beyond the principle of dogmatic functionalism. As an architect of Northern Europe, Aalto made unique architecture that showed both the language of modem architecture and vernacular architecture. He presented the best example which showed modernity in architecture without losing the meaning of the context including site, region and cultural tradition. With this background, Aalto developed his own typological design approach. As Wolfsburg church was designed in his prime of time, it showed the origin and evolutionary process of religious architecture as well as general features of Aalto's design. Clustered site plan, dynamic space of interior, the adequate control of natural light are representative characteristics found in Aalto's religious architecture. Wolfsburg church also demonstrate these features in more specific way including the continuity of wall and ceiling that showed spatial dynamics, free opening of wall which reflects on functions, and careful adjust of natural light. As a result, Aalto showed his typological design strategy that added new design ideas to the accumulated design vocabularies in the design of Wolfsburg church.

The torque is an important measure that represents the performance of a particular engine. Furthermore the information of engine torque can be used as a primary feedback parameter in modem engine management system. In this paper, a methodology is proposed for torque estimation of SI-engine. Since the proposed method uses cylinder pressure sensor, the torque can be estimated in a simple manner. The indicated torque is estimated from the peak pressure and its location, and the load torque is observed by the state observer based on the estimated indicated torque. The proposed method is accurate and robust against the variations that affect the torque production such as spark timing, mass air flow and others. This torque estimation method may be an alternative solution to the use of engine torque maps in a modem torque-based engine management system.

Since the onset of modern psychosomatic medicine decades ago. it has made significant at contribution to general medicine in terms of understanding the patient as a whole person suffering from an illness rather than as a disease per se. However, initial expectation of delineating specific psychogenesis and developing specific treatment modality has not been fulfilled. Consequently, it has raised substantial concern about the continuing utility of psychosomatic medicine in modem medicine. The author attempted to review critically the evolution of psychosomatic medicine from the perspective of the present and to make projections into the near future. It is concluded that psychosomatic medicine in the future will continue to contribute to development of modem medicine not only as the scientific principle but also as the practical methodology, working as creative interface among disciplines and fusing ideas from rapidly developing molecular biology and neuroscience with psychosomatic concepts. Finally, suggestions for further developing psychosomatic medicine in Korea are made.

현대 무선 통신에서는 제한된 주파수 자원을 효율적으로 사용하기 위해 스펙트럼 효율성이 매우 중요한 문제로 여겨지고 있다. 또한 시스템구조 측면에서는 저 가격, 저 전력 및 초경량에 목표를 두고 제작되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 직접 디지털 주파수합성기(DDS ; Direct Digital Synthesize.)를 이용하여 스펙트럼 효율이 우수한 BCPFSK(Binary Continuous Phase Frequency Shift Keying)를 직접 변조하였으며, 시스템 구조로는 직접 변환(Direct Conversion) 구조를 적용하여, 433 MHz대의 BCPFSK 출력을 갖는 송 ·수신기를 설계하고 성능을 평가하였다.
