Parameterized FFT/IFFT Core Generator for ODFM Modulation/Demodulation (OFDM 변복조를 위한 파라메터화된 FFT/IFFT 코어 생성기)

  • A parameterized FFT/IFFT core generator (PFFT_CoreGen) is designed, which can be used as an essential IP (Intellectual Property) in various OFDM modem designs. The PFFT_CoreGen generates Verilog-HDL models of FFT cores in the range of 64 ${\sim}$ 2048-point. To optimize the performance of the generated FFT cores, the PFFT_CoreGen can select the word-length of input data, internal data and twiddle factors in the range of 8-b ${\sim}$ 24-b. Some design techniques for low-power design are considered from algorithm level to circuit level.

  • one of the problems the users of DPS-6/45 used to face in the course of having access to work stations was that a telephone call has to be made manually every time to have receiver's modem on or off, and naturally it meant the waste of manpower as well as of time.   • Recently our country highly evaluate cultural value of modern construction. Before and after Japanese imperial period, diplomatic equipment, commerce equipment and brand-new modern construction of Japan and Western came into our country coercively. Especially, modern construction placed in center of the city, as previously stated, was a construction field of historical disgrace. So it leaves alone or transforms to high technology because of well located. Selctive reception of the past makes difficult to know about rightful modem, furthermore it is difficult to expect rightful future. Accordingly, I write this. paper for the purpose of presenting the space application blueprint of 'Jung Myung Jeon' of modern construction designated as the cultural properties in Seoul. According to the project, 'Jung Myung Jeon' will do a role as the keyword which is important connects a past and a present time it presents. Then modern construction 'Jung Myung Jeon' which has a culture value will develop continuous with the city.

  • 최근 수요가 급증하고 있는 이동 단말은 점차 소형화되고 있으며, 어느 곳에서든지 접속 가능한 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 주체가 되고 있다. 이러한 단말에 이동성을 지원하기 위해서는 Mobile IPv6가 필수적인데. 운영 체제를 기반으로 한 기존의 Mobile IPv6는 제한된 컴퓨팅 능력을 가진 소형 이동 단말에는 탑재할 수 없다는 문제점이 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해서는 Mobile IPv6를 운영 체제에 독립적인 하드웨어 모듈로 구현하는 것이 필요하다. 더불어 하드웨어 Mobile IPv6 모듈은 무선 접속을 전제로 하므로. 현재 가장 많이 보급되어 있는 무선 접속 기술인 IEEE 802.11b 기반의 무선랜을 통합한 형태로 구현되어야 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 하드웨어 Mobile IPv6와 통합될 수 있는 IEEE 802.11b Modem Controller를 하드웨어로 설계 및 구현하였다.

  • 과학위성 1호 발사 후 지상국에서 위성을 제어하기 위해서는 여러 대의 위성제어용 컴퓨터에서의 명령들을 과학위성 1호가 올바로 수신할 수 있도록 해야 하고, 마찬가지로 과학위성 1호에서 오는 정보들을 원하는 위성제어용 컴퓨터로 알맞게 입력되도록 해야한다. 지상국에서 이러한 역할을 하는 것이 바로 GSC (Ground Station Controller)이다. GSC를 과학위성 1호 운용하는 데 적합하게 만들기 위해 위성에서 사용되는 Modem과 동일한 성능의 Modem을 장착하였고 통신신호 제어를 위한 TNC(Terminal Node Controller)가 내장이 되어있다 이러한 GSC는 여러 위성제어용 컴퓨터의 명령을 TNC가 받아서 통신 신호를 제어한 후 원하는 Modem으로 거치도록 하고 그에 따른 Audio 출력 신호의 증폭률을 가변시킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 과학위성 1호 관제를 위한 GSC의 구조, Spec 및 연구 개발 내용을 소개한다.

  • This paper we introduce next-generation VSAT system based on DVB-RCS2 which is second-generation satellite communication standard. We construct a test-bed for the functional verification of return link modem and discuss the results. According to this, we expect to efficient use of technology for the next-generation VSAT services and broadcasting services.

  • The conventional fluorescent lamp dimming system using an another control line is complex and will increased the cost. Therefore, many studies have focused on the wireless communication, but it is not fit for dimming system because of the interference generated by the infra-red light of lamp or switching noises in ballast. So, we applied the power line communication on the dimming system and we proposed a new coupling circuit using the voltage controlled impedance convertor for improving the performance of the FH/SS PLC modem. The performance for the proposed modem is evaluted by the BER.

  • In this paper, the optical modem for data link realization is designed with the advantages of optical fiber : large handwidth, no electromagnetic interference, high speed and long-haul communications. Biphase cording format is used for the sync, and async, transmissions. Modem interface conform to the CCITT V.24 standard for the compatibility with existing systems. 0/E and E/0 converters are designed using LED-APD pair for long wave length and LD-APD for short wave length, respectively. As a result, the system is capable of transmitting at any bps within dc to 200Kbps in async, and at 1200bps up to 57.6Kbps in sync. transmission.

  • In this paper, we developed remote dimming control system of electronic ballast for 400W metal halide lamp. This ballast could limit ignition current and soft start-up technique by the inverter with LCsCp resonance tank. The dimming circuit can dim from 400W to 200W by varying of the inverter switching frequency. The PLM consists of coupling circuit, BPF(Band-Pass Filter), FSK(Frequency Shift Keying) Modem and ${\mu}$-controller(Micro Controller). By coupling electronic ballast with PLM, the system that able to dimming the lamp through PLM is demonstrated by experimental results.

  • In this paper, we have designed the VHDL module of DS/SS QPSK wireless modem processor for digital data communication. The spread spectrum method is used for modern processor, because this method guarantees good frequency efficiency and higher security. Also, it guarantees good performance in digital communication system under multi-path interferences. The differential encoder and decoder are used for simple circuit composition in the signal detection. For the synchronization of receiver, matched filter and power detector are used.
