MASS FLOW 모델링을 통한 댐상류지역의 공공하수처리시설 공정개선방안 (The improvement of the operating process of sewage treatment plants in the upstream area of dam by MASS FLOWmodelling)

  • 2017년 기준 서울시 및 광역시의 하수도 보급률은 90% 이상의 높은 하수도 보급률을 보이며, 국내하수처리장의 개소 수는 2010년 3,064개에서 2017년 기준 4,072개로 약 25% 증가 증가하였다. 그중에서도 SBR계열 공법으로 운영 중인 하수처리장은 현재 585개로 2010년 대비 17% 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 상수원의 수질 개선과 소규모하수도 시설의 운영개선을 위해 안동 임하댐 권역 내 하수처리장 500㎥/일 이상 3개소 및 500㎥/일 미만 46개소, 총 49개소 시설을 대상으로 모델링을 적용하여 공정개선방안을 연구하였다. 모델링을 위한 개선안으로 5년간 운영자료 등을 검토하여 후보군을 도출하였다. 49개소의 시설은 총 12가지 종류의 공법으로 운영되고 있으며, 이 중에서 SBR공법의 500㎥/일 이상 시설 1개소와 500㎥/일 미만의 46개소를 3개 유형으로 그룹 분류를 하여 운영 개선이 가능한 9개소를 선정하였다. 500㎥/일 이상 1개소에 모델링를 적용한 결과, SRT 조절을 통해 방류수 수질 개선이 가능했으며, 소규모 처리장 9개소에 적용한 결과 총 인의 제거율을 최대 14.4% 개선할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 본 연구의 결과자료는 공공 하수처리시설 및 마을 하수도 시설에 대한 개선 및 운영 개선 방안으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • Accumulation of modified nucleotides is defective to various cellular processes, especially those involving DNA and RNA. To be viable, organisms possess a number of (deoxy)nucleotide phosphohydrolases, which hydrolyze these nucleotides removing them from the active NTP and dNTP pools. Deamination of purine bases can result in accumulation of such nucleotides as ITP, dITP, XTP and dXTP. E. coli RdgB has been characterised as a deoxyribonucleoside triphosphate pyrophosphohydrolase that can act on these nucleotides. S. cerevisiae homologue encoded by YJR069C was purified and its (d)NTPase activity was assayed using fifteen nucleotide substrates. ITP, dITP, and XTP were identified as major substrates and kinetic parameters measured. Inhibition by ATP, dATP and GTP were established. On the basis of experimental and published data, modelling and simulation of ITP, dITP, XTP and dXTP metabolism was performed. (d)ITP/(d)XTPase is a new example of enzyme with multiple substrate-specificity demonstrating that multispecificity is not a rare phenomenon

위협 모델링 기반 함정 전투체계 보안 요구사항에 관한 연구 (A Study on Security Requirements of Shipboard Combat System based on Threat Modelling)

  • The shipboard combat system is a key system for naval combat that supports a command and control process cycle consisting of Detect - Control - Engage in real time to ensure ship viability and conduct combat missions. Modern combat systems were developed on the basis of Open Architecture(OA) to maximize acceptance of latest technology and interoperability between systems, and actively introduced the COTS(Commercial-of-the-shelf). However, as a result of that, vulnerabilities inherent in COTS SW and HW also occurred in the combat system. The importance of combat system cybersecurity is being emphasized but cybersecurity research reflecting the characteristics of the combat system is still lacking in Korea. Therefore, in this paper, we systematically identify combat system threats by applying Data Flow Diagram, Microsoft STRIDE threat modelling methodology. The threats were analyzed using the Attack Tree & Misuse case. Finally we derived the applicable security requirements which can be used at stages of planning and designing combat system and verified security requirements through NIST 800-53 security control items.

  • 해양 분야에서는 현재 해양 생태계 모델이나 수질모델 그리고 해수 유동모델과 같은 다양한 모델들이 사용되어 지고 있으며 이러한 해양 모델들의 결과 값은 사용자가 한눈에 알아보기 어려운 수치 데이터의 나열로서 출력되어 지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재의 분석하기 어려운 모델링결과 데이터를 보다 효과적으로 분석하기 위해 GIS 의 기법을 적용하여 이 데이터를 보다 직관적이고 가시적인 형태로 변환하고 표현하는 기술을 개발, 적용하였다.

The effects of the scattering opacity and the color temperature on numerically modelling of the first peak of type IIb supernovae

  • A type IIb supernova (SN IIb) is the result of core-collapse of a massive star which lost most of its hydrogen-rich envelope during its evolution. The pre-SN progenitor properties, such as the total radius and the mass of the hydrogen-rich envelope, can widely vary due to the mass-loss history of the progenitors. Optical light curves of SNe IIb are dominated by energy released by the hydrogen recombination and the radioactive decay of 56Ni in the early and late epochs respectively. This may result in distinctive double peaked light curves like the one observed in SN 1993J. The first peak, caused by the hydrogen recombination, can be modelled with numerical simulations providing information on the pre-SN progenitor properties. We compare two radiation-hydrodynamics codes, STELLA and SNEC, that are frequently used in SNe modelling, and investigate the effect of opacity treatment on the temporal evolution of the color temperature of SNe and eventually on the optical light curves. We find that with a proper treatment of the scattering opacity, SNe IIb models exploded from the progenitor models evolved with latest stellar evolution model hardly match the observational data. We also discuss the smaller scale features found in the models during hydrogen recombination phase.

3차원 지형모델링의 효율적 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Efficient Technique of 3-D Terrain Modelling)

  • 본 연구는 저밀도 임의지점의 지형정보를 이용하여 수치지형도를 제작하는데 있어 시간적, 경제적 측면을 포함하는 효율성과 정밀도 측면에서 각각의 수치지형도 제작기법을 비교 분석하여 향후 지형정보시스템의 구축에 있어서 저밀도의 제한된 지형정보를 이용하여 지형분석과 같은 많은 응용분야에 유용하게 이용될 수 있는 3차원 지형모델링의 효율적 기법을 제시하는 연구로써 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 수치지형도를 제작함에 있어 A, B지역 모두 저밀도 임의지점의 지형정보를 이용하여 TIN기반의 지형모델링 기법으로 수치지형도를 제작하는 기법이 가장 신속하면서도 양호한 결과를 가져왔으며 TIN과 GRID기반의 지형모델링 기법으로 제작한 수치지형도를 시각적으로 분석한 결과 A, B지역모두 거의 홉사한 결과를 가져왔으나 DXF 파일로 저장한 데이터의 크기는 TIN기반의 지형모델링 기법이 GRID기반보다 상대적으로 적은 저장용량을 차지하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 Grid기반의 지형모델링 기법에 의해 제작한 수치지형도에 있어서 저밀도 임의지점의 원형 데이터와 Gridding방법에 의해 보간된 데이터의 표준편차는 A, B지역 모두 Radial basis function 보간기법이 가장 정밀한 보간 결과를 제시하였다.

An Analytical Appraisal of Building Information Modelling (BIM) Guidelines to Identify Variations in the Procedures

  • The usage of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in building projects has enabled improvement in project planning, implementation and collaboration process amongst various stakeholders within architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry. However, variations exist in the current practices of BIM implementation and coordination process in the industry. These variations result in inconsistent degree of BIM use across the construction industry. This inconsistency gives rise to several managerial and technological challenges such as data interoperability issues and purposeful integration and exchange of information within the BIM components. In order to tackle the issue, it is essential to analyse the different BIM approaches employed by the industry practitioners. BIM guidelines serve as a critical link between the BIM model, and its subsequent execution. They therefore provide the best reflection of BIM application and processes. This research paper aims to address the variations existing in BIM practices across the construction industry. It includes an extensive study of 21 existing, publicly available BIM-based guidelines in order to establish an understanding of the present state of practice and deduce issues and concerns related to them. All guidelines analysed in this paper are first categorised based on authorship and the release date for efficient comparison. The points of similarity and difference between them are thereby realized and outlined. In addition, the transition of project implementation process from traditional methods to BIM technology is also explained. The existence of inconsistencies in the BIM guidelines reviewed in this paper reflects the need of a BIM 'Code Compliance Check'. The Code Compliance Check will serve as a regulatory project guideline that will further improve the potential of BIM by incorporating a consistent BIM modelling methodology for the entire construction industry.

초단기 파랑예측시스템 구축 및 예측성능 검증 (Development and Verification of a Rapid Refresh Wave Forecasting System)

  • 한반도 대기모델의 해상풍을 입력자료로 사용하는 초단기 파랑예측시스템을 구축하고, 예측성능을 결정하는 중요한 요소인 입력바람장-파랑 상호작용을 고려하여, 수치모의실험을 수행하였다. 예측성능을 검증하기 위해 비태풍시기와 태풍시기에 대한 파랑모델의 예측결과를 기상청 계류부이 관측자료와 비교하였다. 비태풍시기에는 전반적으로 모델의 과소모의 경향이 나타났으며, 입력바람장과 파랑의 상호작용 물리계수를 증가시키면 과소모의하는 예측경향과 평균제곱근오차(RMSE)는 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. RMSE가 최소가 되는 실험조건을 적용하여 태풍시기를 분석한 결과, 비태풍시기와 비교하여 예측오차가 증가하였다. 이는 파랑모델이 상대적으로 약한 비태풍시기의 바람장 영향을 고려했기 때문으로 보이며, 강한 바람장 형성으로 인한 파랑의 비선형효과와 파랑에너지 소산효과가 충분히 반영되지 않았던 것으로 판단된다.

  • The importance of urban and regional natural park increases because of the needs for preserving the natural resources and providing with natural recreation space in nature. This planning of natural park management should be established based on the research of the various natural resources in the park. But for the lack of effective data synthesizing methods and concepts, only some restricted factors for zoning plan are considered even though GIS computer system for large complex simulation is used. Therefore, in this study three ecological zoning models such as Basic Factor Model (BFM), Visual Landscape Model (VLM) and Comprehensive Ecological Model (CEM) are proposed and applied to Byounsan Peninsula Nature Park(BPNP) for comparison with the current natural park zoning. The BFM has three components -elevation, slope and vegetation. The VLM has applied with six components -elevation, slope, vegetation, road type, and the visual distance. Finally the CEM's modelling factors have included all of BFM, VLM components are added with the land use type, nature and historic resource factors. The zoning concept of BPNP was based on "Minimization" focused on the specific factors. But introduced modelling concept is "Optimization" based on the total ecological environment. So the result of the modelling has larger area for preservation and development zoning compared with the current zoning whose characteristics are ambiguous which allows the environmental destruction. The future study issues will be the determination of the weighting factor, component reconsideration based on the ground truth data and the agriculture residential area zoning.
