선박 구조물의 진동 최적설계를 위한 NASTRAN 기반 최적화 프레임웍의 제안 (Development of NASTRAN-based Optimization Framework for Vibration Optimum Design of Ship Structure.)

  • Recently, the issue of ship nitration due to the large scale, high speed and lightweight of ship is emerging. For pleasantness in the cabin, shipbuilders are asked for strict vibration criteria and the degree of nitration level at a deckhouse became an important condition for taking order from customers. This study proposes a new optimization framework that is NASTRAN external call type optimization method (OptShip) and applies to an optimum design to decrease the nitration level of a deckhouse. The merits of this method are capable of using of global searching method and selecting of various objective function and design variables. The global optimization algorithms used here are random tabu search method which has fast converging speed and searches various size domains and genetic algorithm which searches multi-point solutions and has a good search capability in a complex space. By adapting OptShip to full-scale model, the validity of the suggested method was investigated.

A Scalable Heuristic for Pickup-and-Delivery of Splittable Loads and Its Application to Military Cargo-Plane Routing

  • This paper is motivated by a military cargo-plane routing problem which is a pickup-and-delivery problem in which load splits and node revisits are allowed (PDPLS). Although this recent evolution of a VRP-model enhances the efficiency of routing, a solution method is more of a challenge since the node revisits entail closed walks in modeling vehicle routes. For such a case, even a compact IP-formulation is not available and an effective method had been lacking until Nowak et al. (2008b) proposed a heuristic based on a tabu search. Their method provides very reasonable solu-tions as demonstrated by the experiments not only in their paper (Nowak et al., 2008b) but also in ours. However, the computation time seems intensive especially for the class of problems with dynamic transportation requests, including the military cargo-plane routing problem. This paper proposes a more scalable algorithm hybridizing a tabu search for pricing subproblem paused as a single-vehicle routing problem, with a column generation approach based on Dantzig-Wolfe decomposition. As tested on a wide variety of instances, our algorithm produces, in average, a solution of an equiva-lent quality in 10~20% of the computation time of the previous method.

Optimization of 3G Mobile Network Design Using a Hybrid Search Strategy

  • This paper proposes an efficient constraint-based optimization model for the design of 3G mobile networks, such as universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS). The model concerns about finding a set of sites for locating radio network controllers (RNCs) from a set of pre-defined candidate sites, and at the same time optimally assigning node Bs to the selected RNCs. All these choices must satisfy a set of constraints and optimize an objective function. This problem is NP-hard and consequently cannot be practically solved by exact methods for real size networks. Thus, this paper proposes a hybrid search strategy for tackling this complex and combinatorial optimization problem. The proposed hybrid search strategy is composed of three phases: A constraint satisfaction method with an embedded problem-specific goal which guides the search for a good initial solution, an optimization phase using local search algorithms, such as tabu algorithm, and a post­optimization phase to improve solutions from the second phase by using a constraint optimization procedure. Computational results show that the proposed search strategy and the model are highly efficient. Optimal solutions are always obtained for small or medium sized problems. For large sized problems, the final results are on average within $5.77\%$ to $7.48\%$ of the lower bounds.

트랜스포터 결합을 고려한 조선소 블록 운반 일정계획 (Transporter Scheduling with Transporter Combination in Shipbuilding)

  • 트랜스포터란 조선소에서 작업장 간에 조선 블록을 운반하는 장비이다. 트랜스포터 일정 계획을 효율적으로 하는 것은 선박 건조과정에서 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 블록 운반에 있어서의 트랜스포터 일정 계획에 관한 몇몇 연구들이 수행되었다. 이러한 연구들은 트랜스포터 결합을 고려하지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 결합을 고려한 효율적인 트랜스포터 일정 계획 모형을 제안한다. 수리적 모형에서는 운영 비용을 최소화하면서 트랜스포터 간의 작업 부하를 가능한 균등하게 하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 또한 본 모형의 해를 탐색하기 위해 타부 서치 기반의 세 가지 휴리스틱 알고리즘을 제시하였으며 컴퓨터 실험을 통해 제안된 휴리스틱들의 효율성을 검증하였다.

  • 교통부문 탄소중립을 위한 전기자동차로의 전환에 있어 충분한 충전 인프라의 구축은 중요한 선행요소이다. 특히, 거주지의 충전 인프라 구축은 필수적이다. 우리나라의 주거형태는 주로 공동주택이며, 다수의 거주민을 위한 공공 충전기가 공급되어야 한다. 정부는 충전시설과 전기자동차 전용주차구역의 확보를 법적으로 규정하고 있으나, 주차면수만을 산출근거로 한다. 완속 충전기는 3.5kW 과금형 콘센트와 7kW 완속 충전기가 주를 이룬다. 전자가 충전기 설치 및 이용에 유리하지만, 충전속도가 느려 두 가지 형태의 충전기는 양립이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 일일 주행거리를 기반으로 산정한 전기자동차의 충전 수요에 대응할 수 있는 충전기를 할당하는 최적화 모형을 제시하였다. 또한, 메타 휴리스틱 알고리즘인 Tabu Search를 사용하여 최적화 모형을 만족하는 것과 동시에 충전기 공급 및 충전 비용을 최소화할 수 있는 완속 충전기 공급량을 산정하였다. 사례 분석을 위해 개인통행실태조사자료를 사용해 주행거리를 산정하였으며, 가상의 충전 시나리오 및 환경을 설정하여 100대의 전기자동차 충전 수요에 대응하는 22대의 3.5kW 과금형 콘센트를 최적 공급량으로 산정하였다.

  • The selection of the optimal partners in supply chain management is one of the most critical success factors. In the past, partners for outsourcing production were selected repeatedly within a closed group of candidates due to the limited information and location of partners. But, the wide use of internet and the development of electronic commerce make it possible that the partners capable of providing the optimal services are selected regardless of their location or nationality. And the concept of partners was limited to the provider of production resources. In the supply chain management, the concept should be extended to the provider of transportation and warehouse due to the high portion of transportation cost among the total production cost Therefore, In this study, we propose an analytical approach to the selection of Production and transportation partners in supply chain management. For this purpose a mathematical model is developed, and then a heuristic algorithm based on tabu search is presented since the model belongs to the NP hard problem.

A cache placement algorithm based on comprehensive utility in big data multi-access edge computing

  • The recent rapid growth of mobile network traffic places multi-access edge computing in an important position to reduce network load and improve network capacity and service quality. Contrasting with traditional mobile cloud computing, multi-access edge computing includes a base station cooperative cache layer and user cooperative cache layer. Selecting the most appropriate cache content according to actual needs and determining the most appropriate location to optimize the cache performance have emerged as serious issues in multi-access edge computing that must be solved urgently. For this reason, a cache placement algorithm based on comprehensive utility in big data multi-access edge computing (CPBCU) is proposed in this work. Firstly, the cache value generated by cache placement is calculated using the cache capacity, data popularity, and node replacement rate. Secondly, the cache placement problem is then modeled according to the cache value, data object acquisition, and replacement cost. The cache placement model is then transformed into a combinatorial optimization problem and the cache objects are placed on the appropriate data nodes using tabu search algorithm. Finally, to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the algorithm, a multi-access edge computing experimental environment is built. Experimental results show that CPBCU provides a significant improvement in cache service rate, data response time, and replacement number compared with other cache placement algorithms.

화음탐색법을 이용한 교통망 링크 통행비용함수 정산기법 개발 (Calibration of a Network Link Travel Cost Function with the Harmony Search Algorithm)

  • 본 연구에서는 최근 개발된 화음 탐색법을 이용해 교통망 통행배정 모형의 통행비용 함수의 하나인 BPR 함수의 계수들을 추정하였다. 기존 연구에서는 교통량과 통행시간 자료를 실측해 이를 통계적으로 분석해 계수를 추정하는 방법과 관측교통량과 통행배정 교통량을 일치시키는 계수값을 찾는 것을 목표로 통행배정 모형과 최적화 기법을 결합시킨 방법을 이용하여왔다. 이중 대형 교통망의 계수 정산에 자주 이용되어온 최적화 기법은 관측 통행패턴을 최대한 근접하게 재현하는 계수를 추정할 수 있다는 장점이 있으나 그 수학적 성질과 추정 계수값에 대한 수학적 검토가 충분히 이루어지지 못했다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제 인식아래 최근 개발된 전역 탐색 기법인 화음탐색법 기반의 교통망 비용함수 정산 방법을 개발하였다. 화음탐색법은 2000년대 초반 개발된 이후 다양한 분야에서 기존에 사용되던 전역탐색기법들에 비해 우수한 성질을 입증하여 왔으나 교통분야에는 그 적용 예가 거의 없었다. 본 연구는 화음탐색법의 개념을 설명하고 이를 이용해 개발된 정산 알고리즘을 기존 연구에서 사용된 점진증가법 및 황금율법과 성능 비교하였다. 화음탐색법 기반 정산기법은 기존 기법들에 비해 관측 통행패턴을 보다 근접하게 재현할 수 있는 비용함수 계수값들을 찾을 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또, 관측 교통량 기반 계수추정법은 BPR식의 ${\beta}$값 추정에는 적합하지만 초기속도나 ${\alpha}$값 정산을 위해서는 통행 속도나 시간과 같은 추가 자료가 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

Reverse Logistics Network Design with Incentive-Dependent Return

  • Reverse logistics network design issues have been popularly discussed in recent years. However, few papers in the past literature have been dedicated to incentive effect on return quantity of used products. The purpose of this study is to formulate a dynamic nonlinear programming model of reverse logistics network design with the aim of managing the used products allocation by coordinating the collection centers and recovery facilities to warrant economic efficiency. In the optimization model, a fuzzy approach is applied to interpret the relationship between the rate of return and the suggested incentives. Due to funding constraints in setting up the collection centers, this work considers these centers as multi-capacity levels, which can be opened or closed at different periods. In view of the fact that the problem is known as NP-hard, we propose a heuristic method based on tabu search procedure to solve the presented model. Finally, several dominance properties of optimal solutions are demonstrated in comparison with the results of a state-of-the-art commercial solver.

다대다 대응 위협평가 및 무기할당 알고리즘 연구: 탄도미사일 및 장사정포 위협을 중심으로 (A Study of Multi-to-Majority Response on Threat Assessment and Weapon Assignment Algorithm: by Adjusting Ballistic Missiles and Long-Range Artillery Threat)

  • In weapon assignment studies to defend against threats such as ballistic missiles and long range artillery, threat assessment was partially lacking in analysis of various threat attributes, and considering the threat characteristics of warheads, which are difficult to judge in the early flight stages, it is very important to apply more reliable optimal solutions than approximate solution using LP model, Meta heuristics Genetic Algorithm, Tabu search and Particle swarm optimization etc. Our studies suggest Generic Rule based threat evaluation and weapon assignment algorithm in the basis of various attributes of threats. First job of studies analyzes information on Various attributes such as the type of target, Flight trajectory and flight time, range and intercept altitude of the intercept system, etc. Second job of studies propose Rule based threat evaluation and weapon assignment algorithm were applied to obtain a more reliable solution by reflection the importance of the interception system. It analyzes ballistic missiles and long-range artillery was assigned to multiple intercept system by real time threat assessment reflecting various threat information. The results of this study are provided reliable solution for Weapon Assignment problem as well as considered to be applicable to establishing a missile and long range artillery defense system.
