The Chosun Exhibition was held in 1929 and the Architectural Association of Chosun(AAC) displayed model houses fur the fair. These model houses represented the new housing trend of the Chosun society, so this research was necessary to find out the facts. The main materials used for this research were issues from 'Chosun and Architecture'. The objects of this research was to find out the activity of the AAC and to classify the displayed model houses according to the structure, plan and interior. These three model houses depicted the improved housing designs at that time. Improved housing designs also depicted the convenience of everyday life, hygiene, improvement of facilities and the application of modem lift to that era. Therefore, these three houses would be revaluated as new models of houses for the Chosun society under education activity by the AAC.

The purpose of this study was to identify the Korean traditional housing design characteristics in apartment model houses. 37 floor plans of apartment model houses in Busan were collected and analyzed. Also, 31 design element check-lists were checked through the field study in apartment model houses. The results were as follows: 1) Korean traditional housing design characteristics in aspects of space organization, such as harmony with nature, hierarchy, focal space, flexibility, were founded in apartment houses. 2) Korean traditional housing design characteristics in aspects of scale, material, color, and motif were mostly founded in the master bedroom and the living room in apartment house. 3) Also, the larger the size of apartment houses were, the more Korean traditional housing design characteristics were founded.

The purpose of this study was to find out the residents' needs fur rural houses and to suggest the policy directions for developing Korean rural viewscape houses. The subjects were 386 houses and residents. They were selected according to accessibility, area characteristics, administrative district, and village types. The data were collected by using the interview and observation method based on the questionnaire. By analyzing the residents' needs for rural houses, the following conclusions were derived: 1) In order to preserve the rural characteristic, the government should lead to establish the yard space and the exterior design factors such as wall material and color, and the shape, material, and color of roof. 2) At the same time, the government should provide the residents with the subsidy for house improvement, so that they can build the desirabe size of house and the aged remodel their houses. 3) The contemporary design model of rural Han-ok should be developed and built. 4) The new rural house model improving roof design should be developed, because present houses with slab roofs and skirt roofs spoil the harmony with the rural natural environment. 5) The direction of rural houses for viewscape was defined as to satisfy residents' needs for convenient housing lift and to harmony visual and physical factors - building form, material and color - involving Korean rural housing culture.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate and analyse the characteristics and images of interior environment design in the living rooms, bed rooms and kitchen of the apartment, using the e-model houses of the apartments that will be constructed by 10 construction companies and be occupied after 2006. The 29 defined terms were used in this study to describe the interior image trend. They were systematized by a 5-point scale for the SD evaluation, and were used as a tool to analyse the images. The images were evaluated by methods, such as monitoring the image photos showing the individual rooms in their e-model houses and making their slide film, and reediting them to understand interior atmospheres completely. The image evaluation was performed by the group of 2nd and 3rd year students in the Housing & Interior Design of D University on December 9, 2005, and the data were analysed using SPSS Statistical Program 12.0 for Windows.

In the present study, preliminary investigation were carried out by analysis of energy system(heat and electricity) based on phosphoric acid fuel-cell of 50 kW for eco-apartment houses. Analysis model were consisted of fuel cell energy system, secondary energy unit and residential building of 5 stories with 20 and 40 households. And the investigation results reviewed under load pattern of heat and electric power of the apartment houses. The results showed mismatch between the needed heat load pattern and output of fuel cell energy system. The mismatch rate were assessed about 10-180% of heat load for apartment houses with season. We found that secondary energy unit are needed in order to supply insufficient heat.

Indoor air quality can be affected by indoor sources, ventilation, decay and outdoor levels. Understanding the effectiveness of indoor air quality control depends on knowledge of the characteristics of air pollutants in indoor air, especially their quantities and persistence, and the relevance of indoor sources to these factors. Toluene within new and established houses has been determined and factors significant to its presence have been identified. A total of 30 selected houses in Seoul, Asan and Daegu areas that were constructed within 4 years and over 4 years of construction were measured the concentration of toluene from July to September in 2004. Toluene emission decay of double-exponential model exhibited good fit of $Y=276.37e^{-1.21x}(R^{2}=0.34,\;P=0.06)$ for 2 years and then $Y=51.54e^{-0.11x}(R^{2}=0.40,\;P=0.0)$ from 23 years in new houses. In case of living in new houses, noncarcinogenic health effects of exposure to toluene was 1.38 of hazard quotient (HQ) comparing to toluene reference dose of 0.13 mg/kg-day.

This study attempted to analyze the characteristics of interior design of the apartment units of Model-houses in terms of ecological aspects. 9 companies that possessed their model houses among the construction companies in Busan area as of August 2006 were selected. 20 units in the model houses of these companies were visited and analyzed. Through literature review, the guideline for the environmentally-friendly residential design was designed and developed to the checklists. The data collected were analyzed to find out the ecological characteristics of the interior space of apartment units. The findings are the followings. First, energy efficiency was properly considered in terms of natural lighting and natural ventilation. Second, in sustainability, the materials for floors and walls could not be reused even though they were environmentally-friendly. Water system needs more improvement for sustainable development including grey-water and rain recycling system. Third, interior greening should be applied more for better environment both physically and emotionally. It is expected that future housing will be more high-risen and densely-populated apartment spaces. Therefore, an approach to new ecological aspects including an emphasis on interior greening, use of eco-materials and adhesives, water recycling and flexibility of the spatial configuration should be made for the next generation.

본 논문은 지식경제시대의 생산소비자개념으로 프로슈머관점에서 본 단독주택의 건축비즈니스모델 캔버스 적용에 관한 연구이다. 이를 위해서 첫째, 최신 주택시장의 실태를 조사하여 단독주택건축의 특성을 공동주택과 비교하였고, 둘째, 고객에서 생산소비자인 프로슈머의 관점으로 전환하여 단독주택 건축비즈니스 문제점을 도출한 후 셋째, 기존 단독주택건축 비즈니스프로세스의 문제점을 개선하는 방안으로 경영디자인기반의 건축 비즈니스모델 캔버스를 통한 건축비즈니스모델의 새로운 방안을 도출하였다.

본 연구는 아파트 신규 공급 시 시장 내 경쟁력 있는 분양가격을 결정하기 위한 산정기준을 마련하였다. 도출된 모형은 건설사가 새로운 아파트 분양 시 가격결정을 토지비와 공사비 등 들어가는 비용에 일정 이윤을 합하는 방식이 아니고 최근 공급한 새로운 아파트 단지의 가격을 기준으로 결정하는 방법으로 이루어지고 있음을 고려하여 인근 아파트와 분양가격 비교분석의 모형을 만들었다. 아파트를 새로 공급할 때 결정요인에 대하여 1단계 4가지요인, 2단계 9가지요인, 3단계 25가지 요인으로 계층화하여 분석함으로써 새로이 공급되는 아파트의 가격을 산정하기 위한 기준을 마련하고자 한다. 분양가격 결정요인의 상대적 중요도도 파악하여서 신규공급 아파트 분양가격의 분양시 지표로 활용한다. 또한 2단계 9가지 요인특성을 기준으로 분양가 비교 모형을 만들어 실무에 적용할 수 있도록 제시하였다. 향후에는 마케팅 외적인 요인도 추가적으로 고려하여 일반화된 기준을 찾는 연구가 필요 할 것이다.

This paper applies a prelaunch forecasting model to the Home-Networking (HN) market of South Korea. The HN market of Korea is categorized into two distinctive markets. One HN market consists of new apartments in which builders install HN and the other HN market consists of existing houses in which residents purchase HN Among these markets, this paper focuses on existing houses as capturing consumers' choice. To forecast sales of HN for existing houses, we use a conjoint model based on our survey data of consumer preferences. By incorporating various indicators of HN technologies into our conjoint model, we also forecast diffusion of HN system embodied in PLC or Wireless Lan. We call this model Choice-Based Diffusion Model. In addition, based on the simulation experiments, we also identify important factors that affect the demands of HN system.
