사용자 평가를 통한 모바일 애플리케이션 접근성 지침의 개정 방향 (A Study on the Amendment of the Mobile Application Accessibility Guideline based on User Evaluation)

  • 미래창조과학부는 2011년에 모바일 앱이 장애인 접근성을 제공하기 위한 요구사항을 규정하는 모바일 애플리케이션 접근성 지침을 만들고, 이를 고시하여 국가기관과 공공기관이 활용하도록 하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 5개의 모바일 앱에 대한 사용자 평가를 실시하고, 사용자가 제기한 문제점과 현행 모바일 애플리케이션 접근성 지침의 검사항목 간의 관계를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 일부 모바일 앱은 모바일 애플리케이션 접근성 지침을 준수하고 있음에도 불구하고 사용자가 접근할 수 문제점이 발견되어 현행 지침이 접근성 제공을 위한 요구 사항을 충분히 반영하지 못하고 있음을 보였다. 모바일 앱이 장애인 접근성을 충실히 제공하기 위해서는 키보드 접근성, 컨트롤 크기, 레이블 제공, 시간제한 등의 검사항목이 지침에 추가되어야 한다. 또한 일부 검사항목은 수정하거나 삭제함으로써 모바일 애플리케이션 접근성 지침을 개정할 필요가 있다.

캐릭터 애니메이션 기반 모바일 외국어 어휘 학습 앱 효과 분석 (An Analysis on Learning Effects of Character Animation Based-Mobile Foreign Language Vocabulary Learning App)

  • This study aims to provide implications for mobile foreign language vocabulary learning app by analyzing the effects of mobile vocabulary learning app based on character animation. For this purpose, we applied the learning application designed with character animation and text, and the application designed with text only to two groups of learners, and analyzed the effect. As a result, we found that application designed with character animation and text was useful in recognition frequency and duration concerning learning. Regarding learning outcomes, we found that it is useful not only in memory but also in learning interest and motivation. This study provides implications for learning method and design development of mobile-based foreign language vocabulary learning application which actively using recently.

  • 본 논문은 모바일 환경에서 응용 어플리케이션을 개발하기 위해 요구되는 프레임워크 설계 고려사항 등에 대해 기술한다. 모바일 웹 응용 프레임워크는 웹 표준 기술을 활용하여 다양한 모바일 플랫폼에서 독립적인 애플리케이션 개발을 가능하게 한다. 본 논문은 현재 연구 진행 중인 모바일 웹 프레임워크에 대한 구조, 지원 API에 대해 제안한다.

  • Nowadays on-line services based on Internet are being popularized and there are lots of E-Commerce applications using Internet. So we can use lots of information on anytime. To maximize the convenience of the network, the platform of the service is moving from E-Commerce to M-Commerce. In this paper we developed the application system for mobile environment. Therefore applicants can apply their applications and see the competition rate of the applying departments anytime and anywhere even if in the network disconnection regions. And we can manage more economically the application system because we use the network only the time when we syncronize the mobile device to mobile server.

A Location Context Management Architecture of Mobile Objects for LBS Application

  • LBS must manage various context data and make the best use of this data for application service in ubiquitous environment. Conventional mobile object data management architecture did not consider process of context data. Therefore a new mobile data management framework is needed to process location context data. In this paper, we design a new context management framework for a location based application service. A suggestion framework is consisted of context collector, context manager, rule base, inference engine, and mobile object context database. It describes a form of rule base and a movement process of inference engine that are based on location based application scenario. It also presents an embodiment instance of interface which suggested framework is applied to location context interference of mobile object.

  • The development of information technology leads to changes in various industries. In particular, the health care industry is more influenced so that it is focused on. With the widening of the health care market, the market of smart device based personal health care also draws attention. Since a variety of fitness applications for smartphone based exercise were introduced, more interest has been in the health care industry. But although an amount of use of mobile fitness applications increase, it fails to lead to a sustained use. It is necessary to find and understand what matters for mobile fitness application users. Therefore, this study analyze the reviews of mobile fitness application users, to draw key factors, and thereby to propose detailed strategies for promoting mobile fitness applications. We utilize text mining techniques - LDA topic modeling, term frequency analysis, and keyword extraction - to draw and analyze the issues related to mobile fitness applications. In particular, the key factors drawn by text mining techniques are explained through the concept of user experience. This study is academically meaningful in the point that the key factors of mobile fitness applications are drawn by the user experience based text mining techniques, and practically this study proposes detailed strategies for promoting mobile fitness applications in the health care area.

  • 모바일 어플리케이션 시장에서 업데이트는 (i) 어플리케이션의 가시성을 높이거나, (ii) 기존 사용자들의 충성도를 높이고 가치를 제고하거나, (iii) 기능 추가를 통해 시장을 확대하는 등 다양한 목적을 위한 전략적 마케팅 도구로 활용되고 있다. 많은 연구와 사례들은 이러한 업데이트가 모바일 어플리케이션 시장에서 생존하기 위해 중요하다는 점을 강조하고 있다. 그러나, 일부 다른 사례들은 업데이트가 오히려 사용자들의 반발과 이탈을 불러오기도 한다는 것을 보여주었다. 본 연구는 모바일 어플리케이션의 실제 사용량 데이터를 통해 어플리케이션의 이용 목적과 시장경쟁 환경에 따라 업데이트가 사용자들의 어플리케이션 이용패턴에 사용자수 측면에서, 이용빈도수 측면에서, 그리고 이용시간 측면에서 어떠한 영향을 주는지를 분석하였다.

RGB 색 보정 알고리즘을 활용한 모바일 색 보정 애플리케이션 (A Mobile Color-compensating Application using RGB Color Compensation Algorithm)

  • This paper presents a mobile color-compensating application using a RGB color compensation algorithm. The proposed application enables color vision deficiencies to differentiate images which cannot be distinguished by them. The suggested mobile application has two functions: converting images taken by camera and converting contents in the device screen. The proposed application is computationally inexpensive, since it does not require color space transformation. Simulation results show that the proposed application enables color vision deficiencies to receive information expressed by colors such as subway line maps.

  • Virtualization lacks capabilities for enabling the application to scale efficiently because of new applications components which are raised to be configured on demand. In this paper, we propose an architecture that affords mobile app based on nomadic smartphone using not only mobile cloud computing-cloudlet architecture but also a dedicated platform that relies on using virtual private mobile networks to provide reliable connectivity through Long Term Evolution (LTE) wireless communication. The design architecture lies with how the cloudlet host discovers service and sends out the cloudlet IP and port while locating the user mobile device. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed architecture by implementing an android application responsible of real time analysis by using a vehicle to applications smart phones interface approach that considers the smartphones to act as a remote users which passes driver inputs and delivers outputs from external applications.

모바일 장치에서의 가시화를 위한 경계기반 삼각화 (A Constrained Triangulation Technique for Visualization on Mobile Devices)

  • 3D rendering is becoming a common feature of mobile application programs with the rapid advance of mobile devices. Since the existing rendering engines do not provide triangulation functions, mobile 3D programs have focused on an efficient handling with pre-tessellated geometry. In addition, triangulation is comparatively expensive in computation, so it seems that the triangulation cannot be easily implemented on mobile devices with limited resources. Triangulation of 3D geometry is the essential process of visualization of 3D model data and many different triangulation methods have been reported. We developed a light and fast visualization process that involves constrained triangulation based on Voronoi diagram and applied it to a mobile computer application. In this paper, we applied kd-tree to the original incremental construction algorithm and produced new O(nlogn) incremental construction algorithm. And we show a simple and efficient constrained triangulation method based on Voronoi diagram. This paper also describes an implementation of mobile STEP data viewer as an application of our proposed algorithms.
