모바일 어플리케이션 선택과정에서 전자적 구전의 효과 (The Effects of E-WOM in Selecting the Mobile Application)

  • 온라인 소비자들의 구매의사결정에 전자적 구전의 효과는 상당하다 볼 수 있다. 실제로 많은 선행연구에서는 온라인 리뷰를 통한 제품정보의 획득이 구매의사결정에 큰 영향을 미치고 있음을 실증적으로 검토하기도 하였다. 온라인 구전 관련 선행연구에 대한 이론적인 검토를 통해 온라인 리뷰의 유용성의 결정요인과 스마트폰 이용자들의 모바일 앱 수용과정의 영향력 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 모바일 앱에 대한 유용성을 평가하기 위한 특성들을 선행연구로부터 도출하였으며, 온라인 리뷰의 유용성과 성과에 대한 기대, 그리고 정보원 신뢰성이 리뷰 수용도에 미치는 영향력을 확인하기 위한 연구가설을 설정하였다. 연구가설 검증을 위해 모바일 앱을 구매(무료 또는 유료)한 경험이 있는 228명으로부터 자료를 수집, PLS(Partial Least Square) 기법을 이용하여 검증하였다. 분석결과 모바일 앱에 대한 사용자 리뷰의 신뢰성과 충분성, 도움정도 그리고 설득력이 리뷰 수용의도에 영향을 미치며, 정보원 신뢰성 역시 유의적인 영향을 미친다는 점을 확인하였다.

스마트폰 채택 및 지속사용에 있어 사용자 저항과 사회적 영향력의 역할에 대한 탐색연구 (Exploring the Roles of User Resistance and Social Influences on Smartphone Acceptance and Continuous Usage)

  • This study examines the roles of user resistance and social influences on the acceptance and continuous usage of smartphones at different stages of adoption. The respondents were classified into three groups according to their innovation adoption stage : non-user group, the potential user group and the trial user group. Theories relevant to user resistance, social influences including normative social influences and informational social influences, as well as user adoption and continuance behavior were reviewed and integrated into our research model. In order to verify the proposed structured equation model, we conducted an online survey by targeting mobile phone users and collected data to be analyzed through a partial least squares (PLS) test. This study tested whether there exists differences in the effects of user resistance and different types of social influence on user's adoption or continuance intetion among these three groups. The results showed that user resistance exists in all adopter groups and that it has significant negative influences on intention to use a smartphone. The findings also revealed that user resistance can be enhanced or resolved by two types of social influence; informational social influence resolves user resistance regardless of the adopter category, while normative social influence enhances the user resistance of potential users. Furthermore, the findings show that social influence regardless of the type positively affects user intention. Several theoretic and practical implications pertaining to the results are discussed.

  • The global market for mobile phone business is already matured. Accordingly, the repurchasing issue for the mobile phone is being weighted drastically by the marketers. The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationships among seven crucial factors, and also examines the differences between Korean and Indonesian markets concerning the relationships of these key success factors. This research classifies these two markets as a matured market and an emerging market respectively. The structural model is tested with the data from each of the sub-samples. The analysis of the multi-group structural equation model (MSEM) showed that compared to Korean, Indonesian had more emphasized on extra-functions for the mobile phone as well as giving more influence on satisfaction from brand image. Due to the different market situation and users, the lessons to which product features must be more emphasized could be obtained for the product managers in the industry.

  • The rapid increase in the penetration rate and diverse utility of smart devices opens an opportunity for a development in creating a user-oriented ubiquitous system. And it allows audiences to deploy the exhibition-helping contents regardless of the restriction of place and time with using the smart devices of audience themselves. Also it needs to build a mobile web-based portal system for the related services. To do this, Firstly, it needs the corresponding strategies on a smartphone-based environment such as technical competence, systematic preparation of exhibition with compatible mobile contents, and a compatible channel for interactivity. Secondly, it needs the differentiation of exhibition guide with the existing system: an adoption of augmented reality, panoramic technology and simulation effect aiming for an improvement in a sense of immersion and reality for audience, and building up additional contents with a diversity of formats of image, sound, and video for customer satisfaction.

  • Mobile Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (mVDI) are gaining popularity in cloud computing by allowing mobile devices to execute their mobile applications in a cloud server instead of relying on physical mobile devices. Consolidating many users into mVDI environment can significantly lower IT management expenses and enables new features such as "available-anywhere" desktops. However, there are many barriers to broad adoption including the slow performance of virtualized I/O, CPU scheduling interference problems. In this paper, we will discuss about mVDI with the current issues, the corresponding solutions and challenges.

패션상품으로서의 모바일폰: 의상과 모바일폰에서의 패션행동 비교 연구 (Mobile phone as a fashion product: Comparing fashion behaviors in clothing and mobile phone)

  • As mobile phone has acquired a status of a fashion item expressing one's character, it is necessary to understand the fashion needs for this new fashion product. The purpose of this study was to apply the fashion orientation construct developed in the clothing research field to mobile phone and explore its validity. The multi-dimensional construct of fashion orientation which most widely represented the fashion aspects was examined for the two product categories of clothing and mobile phone. Data were collected from an online questionnaire survey, and a total of 1,136 responses were analyzed. The construct structure of fashion orientation of mobile phone resulted in individuality, innovation, and fashion was different from that of clothing extracted to interest/importance, fashion/innovation, and individuality. Fashion sensitivity and an early adoption of a new product were two different dimensions in mobile phone while not separable in clothing. Despite a higher predictability of the fashion/innovation orientation of clothing on fashion orientation rather than on innovation orientation of mobile phone, innovation orientation was more important to purchase behaviors of mobile phone. The study still implies that it is valid to use clothing fashion innovative consumers for mobile phone marketing.

Consumer Perceptions and Intentions Towards Malaysian Mobile Marketing

  • Mobile marketing is a brand new phenomenon. In Malaysia, marketeers do not seem to understand well enough the perceptions of consumers according to mobile marketing, especially to the mobile service users. This study analyses and evaluates any significant relationship between consumer perceptions and intentions with respect to mobile marketing, and seeks to determine the expectations, preferences, pattern and usage of the consumers of Mobile Marketing Product and Service (MMP&S). The data was obtained by convenience sampling in the big cities of Malaysia. A total of 500 questionnaires were distributed and a sample of 112 usable questionnaires was selected. The result of this research applying the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) point to the fact that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived innovative, social influence have a direct positive relationship with the intention to use mobile marketing. This, in turn, can shed light on the main factors determining consumer intentions to use mobile marketing that may control consumer adoption of mobile marketing.

인지된 위험이 모바일 뱅킹 수용 의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Perceived Risk on the Intention to Adopt Mobile Banking Services)

  • Mobile banking is one of the most representative services applied to the mobile technology. However, there are few recent studies about the user acceptance of mobile banking, and prior studies only have been related to the positive effects of the service acceptances such as e-commerce and Internet banking service. The purpose of this research is to grasp the particular risk essentials in mobile banking which customers perceive, and the risk degree of user recognition which affect customer intention to adopt mobile banking through the exploratory research. The perceived risk is segmented into the performance risk, financial risk, time risk, social risk (or psychological risk), and privacy risk based on Cunningham's research (1967) and other recent studies. In the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), we have attempted to determine how different perceived risks have influence on the mobile banking adoption intentions of both the mobile banking users and potential users. The results indicate that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence have positive influences on the intention to use mobile banking service while perceived risk has a negative influence on the intention to use and performance expectancy.

모바일 개인방송 시청 요인 분석: HMSAM 모델을 중심으로 (Analysis on the Viewing Intention of Mobile Personal Broadcasting by using Hedonic-Motivation System Adoption Model)

  • 모바일 기술과 비디오 스트리밍 기술이 발달하고 미디어 플랫폼이 다변화 되면서 '페이스북 라이브', '아프리카 TV'와 같은 모바일 개인방송은 기존 IT 시스템과는 다른 수용 패턴을 보이고 있다. 모바일 개인방송 시청 요인에는 오락적 동기가 가장 큰 비중을 차지하므로 기존의 외재적, 생산적 동기 중심의 시스템 수용 이론으로는 연구의 한계가 있다고 판단하였다. 이에 본 연구는 오락적 동기 시스템 수용 분석에 특화된 HMSAM(Hedonic-Motivation System Adoption Model)을 이론적 틀로 활용하여 모바일 개인방송 시청자의 수용 요인에 어떠한 오락적 동기가 작용하는지 실증적으로 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 변인에는 즐거움(Joy), 시간 흐름 미인지(Temporal Dissociation), 현실도피감(Escapism), 몰입(Focused Immersion)과 같은 내재적 동기가 포함되었다. 또한 인지된 사용 용이성(Perceived Ease of Use), 인지된 유용성(Perceived Usefulness), 시청 의도(Intention to Watch) 변인도 포함되었다. 연구 분석은 Multi-indicator 모형의 구조방정식을 통하여 변수들 간의 인과관계와 유의성을 검증하였다. 연구 결과, 모바일 개인방송 시청의 즐거움은 시간 흐름 미인지, 현실도피감, 인지된 사용 용이성과 긍정적(+)인 관계를 맺고, 시청의도와 몰입에도 긍정적(+)인 영향을 주었다. 현실도피감 역시 몰입에 긍정적(+)인 영향을 주었다. 본 연구는 오락적 동기 시스템 수용에 대한 최신 연구인 HMSAM 모델을 이론적 틀로 활용하여 모바일 개인방송 시청 요인들을 새롭게 분석하였다는 점에 의의가 있다. 향후 재미와 오락의 개념을 더 세분화하고, 미디어의 능동적 수용과 수동적 수용을 추가적으로 살펴본다면 더욱 발전된 후속 연구가 진행될 수 있을 것이다.

The Impact of Mobile Technology Paradox Perception and Personal Risk-Taking Behaviors on Mobile Technology Adoption

  • People acknowledge that mobile technology has improved their lives in terms of convenience, flexibility, connectedness, and new freedom of choice. However, as people increase usage of technology, they may become frustrated, challenged, annoyed, and irritated with it. This is the main characteristic of mobile technology paradoxes. Once technology gets into people's daily life, which it already has, people will look for a way to minimize the dependency on the technology, as well as finding a way to use the technology to improve the quality of their life. The focus of this study is to understand the mobile technology paradoxes and to develop coping strategies. As mobile technology is already a part of people's daily life, it is inevitable that people need to utilize technology as part of their lifestyles. This study developed a research model regarding the relationship between mobile technology perception and choice of coping strategies, including personal risk propensity as a mediating factor. Discussion on the importance of the technology paradoxes for developing mobile solution and services from the customers' perspectives followed after hypotheses testing.
