모바일 유비쿼터스 인터넷 구축을 위한 상황인식 기반 자원공유 시스템 (Resource Sharing System Base on Context-Awareness for Construction of Mobile Ubiquitous Internet)

  • 휴대 단말을 이용한 모바일 인터넷은 이동성을 제공하며 우리의 생활 속에서 빠르게 성장해 가고있다 그러나 모바일 인터넷은 기본적인 제약으로 인해서 대중적 활용이 미약한 수준이다. 특히 모바일 인터넷 서비스는 사전의 맞춤형 서비스로 제공되어 자원간의 상호 연계성이 미비한 자원제약 적인 사항이 대두되고 있어서 모바일 인터넷이 대중적인 서비스로 발전하기에는 많은 시간과 노력이 요구되어진다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 인터넷 환경에서 분산되어 있는 객체간의 위치 제약성을 극복하고 객체 자원 간 상호 공유를 확대하는 '모바일 자원의 공유'를 증대하는데 연구의 목적을 두었으며 이론 구현하기 위해서 모바일 자원공유 시스템(MIRSS : Mobile Resources Sharing System)을 제안하였다. 모바일 자원공유 시스템은 사용자의 단일 요청을 상황인식(Context Awareness)에 기반한 다중 명령으로 자동 변환하여 정보를 요청하게 된다. 모바일 자원공유 시스템의 적용으로 모바일 인터넷 환경에서 사용자가 원하는 정보를 어디에서든지(anywhere), 언제든지(anytime) 얻을 수 있는 모바일 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경의 구축을 기대할 수 있다.

A new lightweight network based on MobileNetV3

  • The MobileNetV3 is specially designed for mobile devices with limited memory and computing power. To reduce the network parameters and improve the network inference speed, a new lightweight network is proposed based on MobileNetV3. Firstly, to reduce the computation of residual blocks, a partial residual structure is designed by dividing the input feature maps into two parts. The designed partial residual structure is used to replace the residual block in MobileNetV3. Secondly, a dual-path feature extraction structure is designed to further reduce the computation of MobileNetV3. Different convolution kernel sizes are used in the two paths to extract feature maps with different sizes. Besides, a transition layer is also designed for fusing features to reduce the influence of the new structure on accuracy. The CIFAR-100 dataset and Image Net dataset are used to test the performance of the proposed partial residual structure. The ResNet based on the proposed partial residual structure has smaller parameters and FLOPs than the original ResNet. The performance of improved MobileNetV3 is tested on CIFAR-10, CIFAR-100 and ImageNet image classification task dataset. Comparing MobileNetV3, GhostNet and MobileNetV2, the improved MobileNetV3 has smaller parameters and FLOPs. Besides, the improved MobileNetV3 is also tested on CPU and Raspberry Pi. It is faster than other networks

Mobile Robot Path Finding Using Invariant Landmarks

  • This paper proposes a new path-finding scheme using viewpoint-invariant landmarks. The scheme introduces the concept of landmark detection in images captured with a vision sensor attached to a mobile robot, and provides landmark clues to determine a path. Experiment results show that the scheme efficiently detects landmarks with changes in scenes due to the robot's movement. The scheme accurately detects landmarks and reduces the overall landmark computation cost. The robot moves in the room to capture different images. It can efficiently detect landmarks in the room from different viewpoints of each scene. The outcome of the proposed scheme results in accurate and obstacle-free path estimation.

  • This paper presents the potential field for mobile robot path planning. The proposed repulsive potential has weighted parts, which consists of conventional repulsive potential and goals nonreachable with obstacles nearby repulsive potential. It ensures the global minimum of the total potential when the robot approaches goals near obstacle and the robot passes the adjacent obstacles. Simulation results shows that the proposed potential is better than conventional potentials.

  • In this paper, we propose a new method of path planning for autonomous mobile robot in mapped circumstance. To search the optimal path, we adopt the genetic algorithm which is based on the natural mechanics of selection, crossover and mutation. We propose a method for generating the path population, selection and evaluation in genetic algorithm. Simulations show the efficiency for the global path planning, if we adopt the proposed GA method

Efficient Backup methods for Location Register System in Cellular Network

  • A Location Register(LR) system manages each subscriber's location information, which continuously changes in mobile cellular network. For this purpose, the LR database system provides backup management facilities. The objectives of this paper are to identify the problems of the current LR system through rigorous analysis, to suggest solutions to them. I proposed efficient backup methods that takes into account the characteristics of LR database transactions. In the proposed backup method, I use two kinds of dirty flags in order to solve the performance degradation problem caused by frequent registration- location operations.

  • Demand for rich media services is rapidly increasing and, as a result, several technologies are competing to deliver rich media services to mobile, resource-constrained devices. In this paper, we explore the existing rich media technologies and analyze their key features. In addition, in order to accommodate the new requirements introduced by emerging service models, such as service convergence, these technologies must evolve from their current status. We examine how the community intends to achieve this.

  • 최근에 스마트폰과 같은 소형 이동 단말기의 보급이 확산됨에 따라 이동 단말을 통한 인터넷 웹 접속이 크게 증가하고 있다. 하지만 이동 단말의 작은 화면은 한 번에 웹페이지의 전체 내용을 브라우징 하기에는 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서 이러한 이동단말의 문제점을 해결하기 위한 웹 기반 텍스트 요약 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 제안된 텍스트 요약 시스템의 특징은 문서의 구문적 특징을 크게 변화시키지 않고 다량의 텍스트가 단락 안에 존재하는 경우에 문서를 요약하여 텍스트 용량을 줄임으로써 웹 브라우징에 있어 데이터 전송량을 줄이고 빠른 접근과 불필요한 데이터의 출력을 최소화할 수 있다. 제안된 시스템의 특징을 구현을 통하여 확인하였다.

A Device Authentication Mechanism Reducing Performance Cost in Mobile P2P Networks

  • The main concern in mobile peer-to-peer (P2P) networks is security because jamming or eavesdropping on a wireless link is much easier than on a wired one and such damage can be incurred without physical access or contact. In particular, authentication has increasingly become a requirement in mobile P2P environments. This paper presents a new mutual authentication mechanism which requires less storage space and maintains a high level of security in mobile P2P networks. The proposed mechanism improves efficiency by avoiding the use of centralized entities and is designed to be agile in terms of both reliability and low-cost implementation. The mechanism suggested in the simulation evaluates the function costs occurring in authentication between the devices under mobile P2P network environment comparing to existing method in terms of basic operation costs, traffic costs, communications costs, storage costs and scalability. The simulation results show that the proposed mechanism provides high authentication with low cryptography processing overhead.

혼합 비주얼 서보 제어 기법을 이용한 이동로봇의 목표물 추종 (Target Tracking of the Wheeled Mobile Robot using the Combined Visual Servo Control Method)

  • This paper proposes a target tracking algorithm for wheeled mobile robots using in various fields. For the stable tracking, we apply a vision system to a mobile robot which can extract targets through image processing algorithms. Furthermore, this paper presents an algorithm to position the mobile robot at the desired location from the target by estimating its relative position and attitude. We show the problem in the tracking method using the Position-Based Visual Servo(PBVS) control, and propose a tracking method, which can achieve the stable tracking performance by combining the PBVS control with Image-Based Visual Servo(IBVS) control. When the target is located around the outskirt of the camera image, the target can disappear from the field of view. Thus the proposed algorithm combines the control inputs with of the hyperbolic form the switching function to solve this problem. Through both simulations and experiments for the mobile robot we have confirmed that the proposed visual servo control method is able to enhance the stability compared to of the method using only either PBVS or IBVS control method.
