Service Rendering Study for Adaptive Service of 3D Graphics Contents in Middleware (3D 그래픽 콘텐츠의 적응적 서비스를 위한 미들웨어에서의 서비스 렌더링 연구)

  • The need of contents adaptation in ubiquitous environments is growing to support multiple target platforms for 3D graphics contents. Since 3D graphics deal with a large data set md a high performance, a service adaptation for context changing is required to manipulate graphics contents with a more complicated method in multiple devices such as desktops, laptops, PDAs, mobile phones, etc. In this paper, we suggest a new notion of service adaptation middleware based on service rendering algorithm, which provides a flexible and customized service for user-centric 3D graphics contents. The service adaptation middleware consists of Service Adaptation(SA) for analyzing environments and Service Rendering(SR) for reconfiguring customized services by processing customized data. These adaptation services are able to intelligently and dynamically support the same computer graphics contents with good quality, when user environments are changed.

  • Presently, It is required to change convergence the role of hardware system and software technology that promoted trust of In-Vehicle for integrated complex system visibility evaluation. There is possibility for the period system can invoke unpredictable confusing blank state. The blank state systems have ecosystem characteristics that are supplied, maintained and operated through the complex interactions of technology and culture. Using universal middleware can support the life-cycle model and increase the visibility of complex systems and prepare for confusing situations. In this study, based on universal middleware, data and service dynamic standardized modules were evaluated to support stable system visibility platform. The system visibility module consists of Intelligent Pervasive Cloud module, Memorial Service module and Life Cycler connection module. In addition, the analysis results are supported by various network application service standards through platform independent system and architecture.

  • Since various applications is converged in digital televisions, playing game on DTV will be available in the immediate future. Game programming of DTV is more difficult than that of PC in a viewpoint of game development. Since TV use very simple remote controller as user interface, mapping type, choice type, and one-button type are used among mobile game user interfaces. In addition, we suggest to use text class, numeral class, bitmap class, and shape class of DTV OSD middleware which is proven software, instead of developing new DTV-oriented game engine. The proposed interfaces can be applied in various game situations and allow intuitive and fast operations. By using OSD middleware, game actions can be subdivided into state structures, OSD objects can be used as game objects, and events and actions of remote controller keys are easily defined.

In this paper, SVC Codec, real-time video and graphics processing and SoC design intelligent vehicles middleware applications with monolithic system specification through Android-based design of intelligent vehicles dedicated middleware research experiments on open platforms, and provides various terminal services functions SoC based on a newly designed and standardized interface analysis techniques in this study were verified through experiments.

  • It is necessary to dynamic recognition system with real time loading height and pressure of the loading waste, the drying of wood, batteries, and plastic wastes, which are representative compositional wastes, and the carbonization changes on the surface. The dynamic context awareness service constituted a platform based on Universal Middleware system using BCN convergence communication service as a Ambient SDK model. A context awareness system should be constructed to determine the cause of the fire based on the analysis data of fermentation heat point with natural ignition from the load waste. Furthermore, a real-time dynamic service platform that could be apply to the configuration of scenarios for each type from early warning fire should be built using Universal Middleware. Thus, this issue for Internet of Things realize recognition platform for analyzing low temperature fired fire possibility data should be dynamically configured and presented.

The Integration of Mobile GIS and Spatio-temporal Database for Evaluating Space-time Accessibility of an Individual: An Approach Based on Time Geography Model

  • This study attempts at building an integrated GIS computing framework for evaluating space-time accessibility of an individual with the approach of time geography model. The proposed method is based on the integration of mobile GIS and object-relational spatio-temporal database. Three components are central to our system: ( i ) mobile GIS application that transmits spatio-temporal trajectory data of an individual; ( ii ) spatio-temporal database server that incorporates the time geography model; and (iii) geovisualization client that provides time geographic queries to the spatio-temporal database. As for the mobile GIS application, spatio-temporal trajectory data collected by GPS-PDA client is automatically transmitted to the database server through mobile data management middleware. The spatio-temporal database server implemented by extending a generic DBMS provides spatio-temporal objects, functions and query languages. The geovisualization client illustrates 3D visual results of the queries about space-time path. space-time prism and space-time accessibility. This study shows a method of integrating mobile GIS and DBMS for time geography application, and presents an appropriate spatio-temporal data model for evaluating space-time accessibility of an individual.

  • This paper proposes a ubiquitous robot, Ubibot, as an integration of three forms of robots: Software robot (Sobot), Embedded robot (Embot) and Mobile robot (Mobot). A Sobot is a virtual robot, which has the ability to move to any place or connect to any device through a network in order to overcome spatial limitations. It has the capacity to interpret the context and thus interact with the user. An Embot is embedded within the environment or within physical robots. It can recognize the locations of and authenticate the user or robot, and synthesize sensing information. Also it has the ability to deliver essential information to the user or other components of Ubibot by using various types of output devices. A Mobot provides integrated mobile service. In addition, Middleware intervenes different protocols between Sobot, Embot, and Mobot in order to incorporate them reliably. The services provided by Ubibot will be seamless, calm and context-aware based on the combination of these components. This paper presents the basic concepts and structure of Ubibot. A Sobot, called Rity, is introduced in order to investigate the usability of the proposed concepts. Rity is a 3D synthetic character which exists in the virtual world, has a unique IP address and interacts with human beings through Vision Embot, Sound Embot, Position Embot and Voice Embot. Rity is capable of moving into a Mobot and controlling its mobility. In doing so, Rity can express its behavior in the virtual world, for example, wondering or moving about in the real world. The experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of implementing a Ubibot in a networked environment.

A Study on Implementation of Environment Monitoring System of Mobile Robot using OpenRTM (OpenRTM 기술을 이용한 이동로봇 환경 모니터닝 시스템 구현에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose the structure of system integration on the global ethernet networks using OpenRTM which was developed in Japan among the integration software framework based on middleware. In order to verify for propose model, we implement of environment monitoring system of mobile robot applied OpenRTM structure and we also verify that proposed validity of the structure of integration through experiment in the implemented system.

  • 배터리를 사용하는 소형 임베디드 시스템은 효과적인 전력관리가 필요하다. 그러나 현재까지 개발된 전력관리 기법들은 대부분 운영체제와 하드웨어를 대상으로 하고 있어 개발 플랫폼에 종속적인 특징을 갖는다. 따라서 시스템을 개발할 때마다 지원하는 전력관리 기법을 하드웨어나 운영체제에 따라 여러 번 개발을 해야 하는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 하위 계층에서 지원하는 전력관리 기법에 관계없이 동일한 기능을 제공하는 웨어러블 컴퓨터용 전력관리 미들웨어를 설계하였다.

  • This study suggested the mobile intelligent management system based on the cloud service. The mobile intelligent management system are composed of cloud server, middleware and sensor networks. Each modules are controlled on mobile environment and observed operating status of each apparatus for environment. In this pater, the image-based moving detection algorithm applied in order to detect an intruder and average 12.3% are measured in moving detection experiments. it was confirmed the validity of the security device.
