This study aims to investigate current status of mobile search services of Korean search portals, and analyze mobile unified search contents of Naver and Google Korea. In particular, this study analyzed characteristics of mobile unified search such as number of retrieved documents, collection distribution, and yearly distribution. Also, documents were evaluated in terms of relevance, credibility, and currency. This study compared quality of Naver's unified Web best and unified Web, and Google's best Web documents and Web documents. The correlation between document's ranking and document's relevance was analyzed. The results of this study can be implemented to the portal's effective development of mobile search service.

This study tends to apprehend how much public library contributes to a role of upbuilder of digital integrated local society through a survey. For this, I performed the survey on 935 organization of public library in the whole country registered in national library statistical system. As a result, firstly, it's apprehended that equipment infra, Internet infra, etc like computer, laptop, scanner, tablet PC, etc are in relatively high level. Secondly, service or resource like electronic book, digital and virtual reference service, library service mobile App, etc that users can use are in relatively high level but software supporting cooperation and group task, fusibility of participating space, etc are shown very low level. Thirdly, the rate of literacy training relating to technology were only 22.4%, education subject focused on resource searching subject and somewhat future-oriented technical education like directions of video conference technique, cloud computing application education, etc wasn't conducted. Finally, we should consider expansion of providing technology and equipment and provision of future-oriented service and education according to a flow of the time that needs to seek change in various roles of library as enjoying culture space or creative space.

Although it is about a decade since public libraries started to provide digital information services, lack of expertise for efficient service operation and restrictions related to copyrights have led to failure to obtain remarkable performances in uses. This study intends to analyze operation cases of domestic and overseas collaborative digital information services, as well as the current status of digital information services of libraries in Gyeonggido, thereby developing a collaborative digital information service model among public libraries on the level of local governments. This research then analyzed collaborative digital information service Web sites and surveys. Based on the analysis result, this study presented support of integrated search of possessed electronic information, Web database (DB), DB on original texts of regional records, online reference services, and mobile platforms as functional factors to embody a successful service model. As a system management road map, an eclectic model combining the merits of centralized and decentralized models was found to be more effective than a centralized or decentralized model in consideration of the characteristics of participating organizations.

This study aims to investigate the current states of branch systems of public libraries in Korea and to find implications to improve such systems. Nationwide surveys to directors and branch directors of public libraries were conducted along with case studies on major local areas. It was revealed that the duties for each branch were rationally assigned in functional perspectives. The result also revealed that the branch systems of provincial office of education were planned in an inappropriate manner without considering their functional attributes. Other findings included (1) public library branches were necessary to be located in local governments based on the hierarchal structure of the following: a central library, a main local branch. a mobile library unit. public mini-library and deposit station ; (2) Saemaul mobile library and private mini-library service were the most effective when they were provided in conjunction with public library branches.

This study analyzed the level of 326 academic librarians awareness, usability and counter strategies on the Library 3.0. The results revealed the awareness level in the following order: that (1) Mobile Library (2) Semantic Search (3) AI(Artificial Intelligent) (4) Cloud Computing (5) Ontology (6) Linked Data. The order of the future usability for the Library 3.0 was ranked (1) Mobile Library (2) Linked Data (3) Semantic Search (4) Cloud Computing (5) AI and (6) Ontology. To conclude, the level of awareness and the usability of Library 3.0 were shown to be statistically significant. There are, however, some discrepancies in awareness differ across librarians and regions. Moreover, the level of awareness for the Library 3.0 did influence the library's organizational performance but the individual librarian's competences only.

This study tried to analyze 11 standards and guidelines related to bookmobile service to provide the theoretical basis for establishing bookmobile standards or guidelines in Korea. In these standards and guidelines, there were 9 core elements about bookmobile service including administration, vehicle, staffing, collections, schedule & stops, services & programs, marketing & public relations, information & communication technology and safety, and each element had several related sub-elements. In conclusion, some suggestions were proposed to assist the establishment process of bookmobile standards or guidelines in Korea.

With the increase in smartphone ownership and Internet usage using smartphones, the information environment is shifting from the existing PC to the smart mobile. The current undergraduate students are called Generation Z who prefer smartphones to PCs and video contents to texts. This study attempted to understand their usage behaviors of electronic resources in an academic library in a smart mobile environment. This study conducted a usage statistics analysis with 61,433 usage records of e-books, audiobooks, and e-learning contents and 1,595 records of users in the A academic library during 3 years from 2016 to 2018. The scope of the data includes the date of use, the subject, the year of publication, the channel of use, and each user's gender, affiliation, status, admission date, and graduation date. This study investigated not only the general characteristics of electronic resource use, but also the usage behaviors according to the user's demographic characteristics. Based on the findings, this study suggested practical service plans that are applicable in the near future and reflect changing circumstances.

This study analyzed the effect of app characteristics of the handicapped library on user satisfaction and intention to reuse using the technology acceptance model. As a result, the app's accessibility, convenience, innovation, and reliability have a significant effect on perceived usefulness, and instant accessibility, accuracy, and interactivity have no significant effect. The characteristics of all apps were analyzed to have a significant effect on perceived ease of use. The regression model for perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness was statistically significant. It was found that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness had a positive effect on user satisfaction and satisfaction was intended to be reused.

스마트폰이 보편화되고 스마트폰으로 정보를 습득하고자 하는 요구가 증가함에 따라 모바일로 서비스를 제공하는 대학도서관도 증가하고 있다. 모바일 서비스를 제공하는 대학도서관이 증가하면서 모바일 서비스로 제공되는 콘텐츠에 대한 고려가 필요할 것으로 보인다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 모바일 서비스를 제공하는 대학도서관 2곳을 선정하여, 대학생들이 모바일 서비스를 이용하는 데 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인가 알아보고 모바일 서비스의 이용도에 따라 상 중 하 집단으로 나누어 각 집단이 선호하는 콘텐츠의 차이를 알아보았다. 그 결과 대학생의 학년과 모바일 서비스에 대해 인지된 유용성, 유비쿼터스 접속성이 모바일 서비스 이용도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, '자료 검색', '시설 예약', '대출사항 조회' 등의 콘텐츠들이 자주 이용되며 이용자 집단 간의 차이는 대학별로 다르게 나타났다.

This study examines the overall contents of robots, drones, and autonomous driving that can be applied to libraries among autonomous objects, and proposes a plan that can be introduced and applied to libraries in the future based on this. As a result of the study, in the case of the building, robots and drones can be used to apply from collection inspection, collection transport, collection arrangement, collection classification, book location guidance, book recommendation, loan/return, library general guidance, and reference information service. Outside of the building, robots, drones, and autonomous vehicles can be used for book delivery service, book return service, and unmanned mobile libraries. This study is a basic research for the introduction and application of autonomous objects in the library, and follow-up studies such as perception survey and application model development for systematic introduction should be conducted in the future.
