The Security Life Cycler Energy Service Platform for Universal Middleware (유니버설미들웨어기반 생명주기 보안에너지 서비스플랫폼 연구)

  • Security services that support electric energy service gateway require relatively high reliability. In particular, the application services that accompany communications and data are run organically. Each of the security services should support a secure service platform that supports a secure, scalable life cycle for existing services which should be extends security layer of Universal Middleware. In this convergence platform, it is the study of security transfer modular services that allow independent life cycle management of systems through Universal middleware. First, It is modular in terms of energy consumption service and data, enabling real-time operation, communications, remote management and applications. Second, the life cycle of the secure module to support start, stop and updating of the security module by applying the security policy module layer concept. It is modular system enabling to design of dyanmic models in the smart grid, the service was intended to be standardized and applied to the security service platform.

  • In this paper, we designed and implemented Thing Connected-Green, a self-installing agricultural automation system capable of remote monitoring and control based on Low Power Wide Area communication technology (LPWA). Farming requires water, sunlight, soil, fertilizer, temperature control, etc., and these elements can be remotely monitored and controlled using an automated system. Using this system, it is possible to construct an agricultural automation system which can be optimized according to the kind of plant and cultivation environment from vinyl house to flower garden. The information gathered from the sensor is stored in the server through the gateway, and the optimal cultivation environment can be set and operated using the smart phone based on the big data.

  • Presently, It is required to change convergence the role of hardware system and software technology that promoted trust of In-Vehicle for integrated complex system visibility evaluation. There is possibility for the period system can invoke unpredictable confusing blank state. The blank state systems have ecosystem characteristics that are supplied, maintained and operated through the complex interactions of technology and culture. Using universal middleware can support the life-cycle model and increase the visibility of complex systems and prepare for confusing situations. In this study, based on universal middleware, data and service dynamic standardized modules were evaluated to support stable system visibility platform. The system visibility module consists of Intelligent Pervasive Cloud module, Memorial Service module and Life Cycler connection module. In addition, the analysis results are supported by various network application service standards through platform independent system and architecture.

  • In this paper, we present a Smart Water Treatment Plant using Zigbee USN devices and a real-time monitoring system in K-water Flow Meter Calibration Center Building. For verification, the data of vertical type WTP such as flow rate, pressure, water level and water temperature are obtained by the Zigbee USN devices, operating in 2.45 GHz band, and be wirelessly surveilled by the real-time monitoring system. The received data from the sensor is transmitted to the data processing device, and then the processed data can be monitored on a smart phone. Consequently, the pilot plant based on the low-cost and high-efficiency USN has been developed with the performance analysis for the communication network and remote monitoring system on mobile devices.

  • In this paper, we propose a new power-efficient and reliable connected dominating set based routing protocol in the mobile ad hoc networks. Gateway nodes must be elected in consideration of residual energy and mobility because frequent reconstruction of connected dominating set result in transmission error for route losses. If node density is high, it results in a lot of contentions and more delays for network congestion. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new construction method of connected dominating set that supports reliable and efficient data transmission through minimizing reconstruction of connected dominating set by delaying neighbor set advertisement message broadcast in proportion to weighted sum of residual energy, mobility, and the number of neighbor nodes. The performance of the proposed protocol is proved by simulation of various conditions.

Home Security System Based on IoT (IoT 기반 홈 보안 시스템)

  • This paper aims to build a home security system based on IoT to monitor a home on a mobile phone. The system consists of data gathering sensors, camera, gateway and Xively platform. The Raspberry Pi collects data from the three sensors and sends the data to Xively, and sends the video stream of home to a client in a smart phone through a internet. The servers are composed of Xively, socket server in Raspberry Pi and E-mail server in Google. The proposed system transmits e-mail, text message, and video stream when there are motion, fire, and gas leakage, and can control the gas valve through Raspberry Pi. The experimental results show that a user gets 'emergency E-mail' and text message and watches the video stream of the home through WIFI or LTE on a smart phone.

  • The MANET that can make autonomous distributed Network with Routing function has many differences than past wireless communication. For upcoming ALL-IP environment, MANET device should be connected with wired Internet Network and MANET is required to have a gateway to bridge two different networks to share information from any place. In this paper, Using the GMAHN Algorithm proposed Proactive, Reactive, Hybrid method that provides Inteface between Wired Internet network and MANET, we learned each method's the advantage and disadvantage through the various network environments. And also, we presented the optimization method of Hybrid combined Proactive with Reactive.

Construct of Cooperative Security System for Secure MANET (안전한 MANET을 위한 협력적인 보안체계 구축)

  • Security between mobile nodes and efficient communication is one of the most important parts of the MANET. In particular, the wireless network is significantly higher for the attack threats because of collaborative structure for open communication media and communication. However, application of existing security mechanisms and intrusion detection system is not easy due to the characteristics of MANET. It is because collection and integration of adult data by the dynamic topology due to the mobility of nodes and many network sensors is difficult. In this study, we propose cooperative security system technique that can improve the reliability based on authentication assessing confidence about the whole nodes which joins to network and detect effectively this when intrusion occurs. Cluster head which manages the cluster performs CA role for the certificate issue and the gateway node performs role of intrusion detection system. Intrusion detection is performed by cooperating with neighboring nodes when attack is not detected in one intrusion detection node. The performance of the proposed method was confirmed through experiments comparing with the SRP technique.

  • Nowadays u-healthcare which is very sensitive to the character of user's information among other ubiquitous computing field is popular in medical field. u-healthcare deals extremely personal information including personal health/medical information so it is exposed to various weaknees and threats in the part of security and privacy. In this paper, RFID based patient's information protecting protocol that prevents to damage the information using his or her mobile unit illegally by others is proposed. The protocol separates the authority of hospital(doctor, nurse, pharmacy) to access to patient's information by level of access authority of hospital which is registered to management server and makes the hospital do the minimum task. Specially, the management server which plays the role of gateway makes access permission key periodically not to be accessed by others about unauthorized information except authorized information and improves patient's certification and management.

  • A sensor network is composed of a large number of sensor nodes which have sensing, computation and wireless communication capabilities. The sensor node sends such collected data, usually via radio transmitter, to a command center (sink) either directly or through a data concentration center (a gateway). These sensor networks can be used for various application areas such as health, military, home network, managing inventory, monitoring disaster areas and so on. Moreover, owing to the rapid growth of mobile technology, high-performance smartphones are widespread and in increasing cases are utilized as a terminal device. In this paper, we propose a home management system using smartphone and sensor networks.
