Implementation of a scout image-based medical image information system (Scout 영상 기반의 의료영상 정보시스템 구현)

  • The medical imaging processing area with the development of high-speed Internet and the portable embedded system under prevailed ubiquitous environment is quick in research and development for the system that can search and decipher the patient's information in anytime and anywhere. Especially, the new applications demand utilizing scout images besides diagnostic purposes. With the development of ubiquitous system, medical image viewers are utilizing to the hospitals combined with PACS system and Web browser. This paper implements the mobile terminal based medical image viewing system that shows the potential in wireless environment.

  • We suggest AKL(abstract kernel layer) to. the design and implementation of WAP on basis of multi-platform. AKL is running on the various kernel including REX, MS-DOS, MS-Windows, UNIX and LINUX. For the purpose of it, AKL makes machine-dependant features be minimized and supports a consistent interface on API(application program interface) point of views. Therefore, It makes porting times of a device be shorten and makes easy of maintenance. We validated our suggestion as a consequent of porting WAP into PalmV PDA and mobile phone with AKL.

  • 모바일 표준 플랫폼 WIPI(Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability)는 하드웨어 독립적으로 설계되어 어떠한 무선단말기에도 사용가능하며 개발언어인 C와 자바를 선택적으로 사용할 수 있는 국내 무선인터넷 표준 플랫폼이고 WAP2.0(Wireless Application Protocol) 규격은 XHTML의 사용으로 유.무선 인터넷의 통합 컨텐츠 제공이 가능한 무선 응용프로토룰이다. 본 논문에서는 WIPI 표준 플랫폼에서 단말기의 무선인터넷 활용을 위해 XHTML을 마크업 언어로 채용한 WAP2.0 규격의 마이크로 브라우저 원형(Prototype)을 설계하여 구현하였고 WIPI 시뮬레이터를 사용하여 응용프로그램으로 구현된 마이크로 브라우저의 동작실험을 함으로써 WIPI 표준 플랫폼을 위한 WAP2.0마이크로 브라우저의 활용 가능성을 제시한다.

  • 인터넷 환경의 변화와 함께 많은 서비스가 오픈 API 형태로 지원되면서 이들을 결합하고 이용하는 웹 기반의 클라이언트 프로그램이 모바일 환경의 주요한 어플리케이션 형태로 등장했다. 또한 차세대 웹 폼 언어인 XForms는 간편하고 효과적인 UI기술 언어로서 알려져 있으며, 다양한 모달리티를 지원할 수 있고 장치 독립성을 제공할 수 있어 모바일 장치에 더 적합하다. 본 논문에서는 오픈 API를 지원하는 XFroms 페이지를 설계하고, XForms의 특징을 살려 성능 및 표현력을 개선한 브라우저를 구현하였다. 또한 오픈 API를 사용하는 모바일 블로그 서비스를 XForms기반 오픈 API 페이지들을 통해 작성함으로써 제안된 시스템의 표현력과 유연성을 증명하였다.

  • Considering the prevalent use of mobile devices and the mobile Internet in Korea, there should be open doors for retailers to a different type of distribution if they could find out what makes consumers satisfied with m-commerce sites as well as what makes consumers purchase from m-commerce sites. Therefore, we explored: 1) the antecedents of satisfaction with m-commerce sites and 2) the determinants of purchasers vs. browsers of m-commerce. As possible antecedents of the two dependent variables, the following were utilized in the current study: the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), perceived shopping values, and interactivity. According to the results of this study, these variables related to the performance of mobile commerce sites (Perceived ease of use, Perceived usefulness, Synchronicity, Richness of content, and Contextual services) significantly affected satisfaction with m-commerce sites. On the other hand, the most important discriminator of an m-commerce purchaser vs. a browser was human-oriented interactivity, especially interpersonal communication among users. With the help of information technology.

  • As the performance of mobile devices has increased, high-end multicore CPUs have become the norm in smartphones. However, such high performance devices are exposed to the problem of battery depletion due to the energy consumption caused by software performance, and despite increases in battery capacity. The required resources are dynamic and varied, and further user interaction is highly random; thus, Linux-based power management such as DVFS is needed to fulfill requirements. In order to reduce power consumption, we propose a method to restrict the CPU frequency of data download while maintaining user reactivity. This can supplement the weakness of existing Linux-based power management techniques like DVFS in relation to webpage loading. Through the implementation of our method at the application level, we confirm that energy consumption from webpage loading is reduced.

  • AR(Augmented Reality) technology is now easily shown around us with respect to its applicable areas' being spreaded into various shapes since the usage is simply generalized and many-sided. Currently existing camera vision based AR used marker based methods rather than using real world's informations. For the marker based AR technology, there are limitations on applicable areas and its environmental properties that a user could immerse into the usage of application program. In this paper, we proposed a novel AR method which users could recognize objects from the real world's data and the related 3-dimensional contents are also displayed. Those are done using image processing skills and a smart mobile embedded camera for terminal based AR implementations without any markers. Object recognition is done from the comparison of pre-registered and referenced images. In this process, we tried to minimize the amount of computations of similarity measurements for improving working speed by considering features of smart mobile devices. Additionally, the proposed method is designed to perform reciprocal interactions through touch events using smart mobile devices after the 3-dimensional contents are displayed on the screen. Since then, a user is able to acquire object related informations through a web browser with respect to the user's choice. With the system described in this paper, we analyzed and compared a degree of object recognition, working speed, recognition error for functional differences to the existing AR technologies. The experimental results are presented and verified in smart mobile environments to be considered as an alternate and appropriate AR technology.

  • 1 person media is becoming the leading trend among several media in the Internet era exploiting the individual desire of showing off. But, the vast accessibility of Internet produces the worry about privacy risk, which concludes in the increasement of closed SNS. In this paper, we propose a system based on PWW (Person Wide Web) where a person is producing a media and share it with other persons. PWW is an information system which consists of a smart-phone, mobile anchors, a standard web document, and his own cloud storage. An information consumer gets the link using his smart-phone from the mobile anchors attached on the objects in the field. The web browser in the smart-phone obtains the web documents designated by the link and presents it. We also explains the 1 person media system based on PWW and presents the example utilized in the field. We compared and analyzed the security factor of the system based on between WWW and PWW, and concluded that PWW is better than WWW in the aspect of security.

  • Recently, research about an electronic attendance-absence recording system has been actively carried out using smart devices. Using an electronic attendance-absence recording system, professors can check their students' attendance on a real-time basis and manage their attendance records. In this paper, we proposed a real-time electronic attendance-absence recording system using face detection and face recognition based on web application. It can solve the spatial, temporal, cost issues belong to electronic attendance-absence recording system using AIDC(Automatic Identification and Data Capture). A proposed system is running on web server and made by HTML5(Hyper Text Markup Language ver.5). So professor connect to server using mobile web browser on mobile device and real-time manage electronic attendance-absence recording with real-time send or receive image data. In addition, the proposed system has an advantage capable of installation and operation, regardless of the operating system because it operates based on the Python flask framework.

  • World Wide Web has potential possibility of infrastructure for parallel computing environment connecting massive computing resources, not just platform to provide and share information via browser. The approach of Web-based parallel computing has many advantages of the ease of accessibility, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and utilization of existing networks. Applet has the possibility of decomposing the independent/parallel task, moving over network, and executing in computers connected in Web, but it lacks in the flexibility due to strict security semantic model. Therefore, in this paper, Web-based parallel computing environment using mobile agent, Aglet (Agile applet) was designed and possible implementation technologies and architecture were analyzed. And simple simulation and analysis was done compared with applet-based approach.
