The ITER fuel cycle is designed for DT operation in equimolar ratio. It involves not only a group of fuelling system and torus cryo-pumping system of the exhaust gases through the divertor from the torus in tokamak plant, but also from the exhaust gas processing of the fusion effluent gas mixture connected to the hydrogen isotope separation in cryogenic distillation to the final safe storage & delivery of the hydrogen isotopes in tritium plant. Tritium plant system supplies deuterium and tritium from external sources and treats all tritiated fluids in ITER operation. Every operation and affairs is focused on the tritium inventory accountancy and the confinement. This paper describes the major fuel cycle processes and interfaces in the tritium plant in aspects of upcoming technologies for future hydrogen and/or hydrogen isotope utilization.

When you move to a new home, or when you change the wallpaper or flooring of your home, office, etc., you can enjoy the joy of opening your new home with the sick house syndrome, such as the stinging smell and stinging eyes that may appear after the interior work. It is only a moment. Volatile organic compounds from building materials, adhesives, wallpaper, and paints used in new buildings or new furniture cause residents' health and discomfort in indoor life. These volatile organic compounds include benzene, toluene, acetone, and styrene, as well as the representative formaldehyde, and these substances are slowly released over a long period of time, causing acute or chronic diseases to residents. As a method for removing organic volatile substances, physical methods using adsorption, chemical methods for converting volatile substances to other substances, or a mixture of the two are mainly used. In this paper, a sustained release chlorine dioxide gel pack obtained by a method for controlling the reaction rate of a reactant and the release of a product is mixed with a zeolite adsorbent having an optimized hole diameter to adsorb and decompose and remove formaldehyde suspended in the air. I would suggest an effective method.
Conversion of methane to synthesis gas in a capacitive rf plasma at low pressure was experimentally studied. In this plasma, electrons which had sufficient energy-level collided with the molecules of methane or oxygen-containing gas, which were than activated and converted to synthesis gas. The effect of input power, various oxygen-containing gas and composition of the gas mixture were investigated. The conversion of methane reached up to 100%. In all cases, hydrogen and carbon oxide were produced as primary products, and other compounds was generated. The conversion of methane and the yield of hydrogen and carbon oxides were increased with increasing the input power. Depending on the oxygen-containing gases, the composition of synthesis gas was varied.
The nitrogen plasma thermal decomposition and recovery processes for $CHClF_2$ (Chlorodifluoromethane) refringent were investigated. The steam generator was employed to provide superheated steam reactor, supporting the decomposition reaction of refringent. Even though over 94% of R-22 was decomposed on the condition of 60 A and 9.0 kW, a higher power and specific energy density were required to achieve the complete combustion of carbon materials. In the operating condition of 60 A and 12.6 kW, $O_2$/R-22 ratio in reactants gases are a key factor to obtain much higher decomposition ratio during process. It should be noticed that injecting the mixture of $O_2$ and air was much more effective than injecting the air consisting equivalent $O_2$ amount.

In this paper, partial discharges(PDs), lift off and breakdown voltage were measured when metal particles existed in a model GIS coated with epoxy resin on its bottom electrode, and the measured results were analyzed after comparing with the model DIS not coated. In order to presume the various fault case in GIS, we measured the experimental values with changing some experimental factors, such as the mixture ratio of SF$\_$6//N$_2$, the pressure of the gases, the kinds and diameter of the metal particles, and the coating thickness of the epoxy resin. As a result, the PDIV increased with the thickness of the epoxy resin, while the magnitude of PDs decreased at the same condition. The lift off voltages of steel alloy particles were higher than that of copper particles, and increased wit diameter of particles. Futhermore, the lift off voltages in the case of the electrode coated with epoxy resin were higher than that in the case of the uncoated one. In addition, the thicker the thickness of the epoxy resin was, the higher the breakdown voltage were. Thus, it was confirmed that the GIS coated with epoxy resin on its inner surface could be improved in insulation performance.

Antimicrobial polyethersulfone ultrafiltration membranes containing zerovalent iron ($Fe^0$) and magnetite ($Fe_3O_4$) nanoparticles were synthesized via phase inversion method using polyethersulfone (PES) as membrane material and nano-iron as nanoparticle materials. Zerovalent iron nanoparticles (nZVI) were prepared by the reduction of iron ions with borohydride applying an inert atmosphere by using $N_2$ gases. The magnetite nanoparticles (nMag) were prepared via co-precipitation method by adding a base to an aqueous mixture of $Fe^{3+}$ and $Fe^{2+}$ salts. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, and dynamic light scattering analysis. Moreover, the properties of the synthesized membranes were characterized by scanning electron microscopy energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy. The PES membranes containing the nZVI or nMag were examined for antimicrobial characteristics. Moreover, amount of iron run away from the PES composite membranes during the dead-end filtration were tested. The results showed that the permeation flux of the composite membranes was higher than the pristine PES membrane. The membranes containing nano-iron showed good antibacterial activity against gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli). The composite membranes can be successfully used for the domestic wastewater filtration to reduce membrane biofouling.

Silicon nitride ($SiN_x:H$) films made by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) are generally used as antireflection layers and passivation layers on solar cells. In this study, we investigated the properties of silicon nitride ($SiN_x:H$) films made by PECVD. The passivation properties of $SiN_x:H$ are focused on by making the antireflection properties identical. To make equivalent optical properties of silicon nitride films, the refractive index and thickness of the films are fixed at 2.0 and 90 nm, respectively. This limit makes it easier to evaluate silicon nitride film as a passivation layer in realistic application situations. Next, the effects of the mixture ratio of the process gases with silane ($SiH_4$) and ammonia ($NH_3$) on the passivation qualities of silicon nitride film are evaluated. The absorption coefficient of each film was evaluated by spectrometric ellipsometry, the minority carrier lifetimes were evaluated by quasi-steady-state photo-conductance (QSSPC) measurement. The optical properties were obtained using a UV-visible spectrophotometer. The interface properties were determined by capacitance-voltage (C-V) measurement and the film components were identified by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy detection (RBS) - elastic recoil detection (ERD). In hydrogen passivation, gas ratios of 1:1 and 1:3 show the best surface passivation property among the samples.
An experiment and simulation were performed for hydrogen separation of mixtures by PSA (pressure swing adsorption) process on activated carbon. The binary ($H_2/Ar$; 80%/ 20%) and ternary ($H_2/Ar/CH_4$; 60%/ 20%/ 20%) mixtures were used to study the effects of feed composition. The cyclic performances such as purity, recovery, and productivity of 2bed-6step PSA process were experimentally and theoretically compared under non-isothermal and non-adiabatic conditions. The develped process produced the hydrogen with 99% purity and 75% recovery from both processes. Therefore, optimal separation condition was referred multicomponent gas mixtures.

Nitriding treatments were conducted on tool steel (SKD 61) at a temperature of $500^{\circ}C$ for 5 hr using high vacuum direct current (DC) plasma, with ammonia and argon as source gases. The structural and compositional changes produced in the nitrided layers by applying different ratios of Ar to $NH_{3}\;(n_{Ar}/n_{NH3}) were investigated using glancing x-ray diffraction (GXRD), optical microscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM), micro-Vickers hardness testing, and pin-on-disc type tribometer. Nitriding case depths of around of $50{\mu}m$ were produced, varying slightly with different ratios of $n_{Ar}/n_{NH3}. It was found that the specimen surface hardness was 1150 Hv with $n_{Ar}/n_{NH3}=1, increasing to a maximum value of 1500 Hv with $n_{Ar}/n_{NH3}=5. With a further increase in ratio to $n_{Ar}/n_{NH3}=10, the surface hardness of the specimen reduced slightly to a value of 1370 Hv. These phenomena were caused by changes of the crystallographic structure of the nitride layers, i.e the $\gamma'-Fe_{4}N$ phase only was observed in the sample treated with $n_{Ar}/n_{NH3}$=1, and the intensity of the $\gamma'-Fe_{4}N$ phase were reduced but new phase of $\varepsilon'-Fe_{3}N$, which was known as a high hardness, with increasing $n_{Ar}/n_{NH3}. Also, the relative weight loss of counterface of the pin-on-disc with unnitrided steel was 0.2. And that of nitrided steel at a gas mixture ($n_{Ar}/n_{NH3}) of 1, 5, 7, and 10 was 0.4, 0.7, 0.6, and 0.5 mg, respectively. This means that the wear resistance of the nitrided samples could be increased by a factor of 2 at least than that of unnitrided steel.

In this research, PEI/PEBAX composite hollow fiber membrane was used for the removal of water vapor from gases. PEI (Polyetherimide) substrate membrane was spinned by dry-wet phase inversion method and coated with PEBAX (Polyether block amides) 3533 and PEBAX1657. Fabricated fibers typically had an asymmetric structure of a dense top layer supported by a sponge-like substructure through scanning electron microscopy (SEM). $H_2O/N_2$ mixture gas was used to compare the performance of separation according to temperature, pressure and water activity. The results of PEBAX3533 and PEBAX1657 composite membranes respectively showed $H_2O/N_2$ selectivity of 61.7~118.5 and 85.3~175.4 according to operating conditions. PEBAX3533 composite hollow fiber membranes module showed the water vapor removal of 90%.
