In this paper, we have been described a new constructing method of multichannel biosensor using self-assembly by magnetic force interaction. A metal particle and an array was fabricated by photolithographic. Biomaterials were immobilized on the metal particle. The array and the particles were mixed in a buffer solution, and were arranged by magnetic force interaction and self-assembly. A quarter of total Ni dots were covered by the particles. The binding direction of the particles was controllable, and condition of particles was almost with Au surface on top. The particles were successfully arranged on the array. The biomaterial activities were detected by chemiluminescence.

This research describes a new constructing method of multifunctional biosensor using many kinds of biomaterials. The biomaterial activities were detected by chemiluminescence and electrochemical methods.
Monodisperse micron-sized polystyrene (PS) spheres were successfully obtained using a single stage soap-free emulsion method in aqueous media mixed with ethanol (co-solvent) containing NaCI as the electrolyte. The optimum conditions for preparing the monodisperse PS microspheres, using soap-free emulsion polymerization in a water/ethanol mixture with an electrolyte, were studied. The presence of the co-solvent and electrolyte controlled the particle dispersion stability during the polymerization. The microspheres formed using PS, with a weight-average diameter of $2.6{\mu}m$, coefficient of variation of 5.3% and zeta potential of -15.1 eV, were successfully obtained in the presence of 0.1 wt% NaCI, 10 wt% monomer, 0.1 wt% initiator and 95/5 (g/g) of a water/ethanol mixture reacted at $70^{\circ}C$ for 24 h.

We applied a new charging system using the condensation and evaporation method to charge the submicron particles with a uniform charging performance. The monodispersed NaCl submicron particles were condensed by n-butanol vapor and grew up to micron droplets with a same size, regardless of their initial size. Those condensed droplets were charged in an indirect corona charger. The indirect corona charger consisted of the ion generation zone and the particle charging zone. In the ion generation zone, Ions were generated by corona discharge and some of them moved into the particle charging zone by a carrier gas and mixed with the condensed droplet. And finally, the charged and condensed droplets dried through an evaporator to shrink to their original size. The average charge and penetration rate of the particles before and after evaporation were measured by CPC and aerosol electrometer and compared with those of a conventional corona charger. The results showed that the average charge was $5\~7$ charges and the penetration rate was over $90\%$, regardless of the initial particle size.
In order to obtain the high purity $\beta$-SiC powder that possesses the excellent sinterability and is close to the spherical shape, the carbon black was mixed into the composition of Si(OC2H5)4-H2O-NH3-C2H5OH which the monodispersed spherical fine particles is formed the hydrolysis of Ethylsilicate and the mixture was carbonized under an argon atmosphere. Particle shpae, size and the yield of $\beta$-SiC powder were investigated according to the molar ratio of carbon/alkoxide and variations of reaction temperature and reaction time. The results of this study are as follow ; 1) The yield of $\beta$-SiC gained from the reaction for one hour at 150$0^{\circ}C$ almost got near 100% and the particle size of $\beta$-SiC from the reaction for 15 hrs at 150$0^{\circ}C$ was 0.2${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ on the average and close to the spherical shape agglomerate state. 2) When the molar ratio carbon/alkoxide is over 3.1 and the reaction occurs at 145$0^{\circ}C$ for 5hrs, the carbon content has not an effect on the kind of crystal of product.
Silica microgel was prepared by sol-gel process and then functional groups, epoxy group and ethoxy group, were introduced on the particle by coupling treatment with 3-glysidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane. The functional silica microgel(functional SiGel) formation was identified using FT-IR spectrometry. Phase stability for DMF solution of functional SiGel, PU resin and pigment was evaluated by Turbiscan Lab. And physical properties of artificial suede including hand values, morphology and dyeing fastness were investigated. The mean particle size and the specific surface area of the functional SiGel were $0.77{\mu}m$ and $380m^2/g$. Mixture containing the functional SiGel, PU resin and pigment was more stable than the functional SiGel-free mixed solution. Artificial suede prepared by the functional SiGel had appearance and feeling close to natural suede. The migration fastness, the solvent wicking fastness and rubbing fastness of the artificial suede were enhanced to 4~5 grades, 4~5 grades and 3~4 grades, respectively.
A change in chemical compositions of Asian dust (AD) particles can dramatically alter their optical properties, cloud-forming properties, and health effects. The present study was undertaken to evaluate this aging of AD particles by means of two complementary methods (i.e., the traditional spot test and the most advanced micro-PIXE analytical technique) for single particle analysis. Size-classified particles were sampled at the rural peninsula of Korea (Byunsan, 35.37N; 126.27E) during AD event and non-AD period in 2004. Sulfate was principally enriched on the particles in the size range of $7.65-10.85{\mu}m$ collected during AD event. The average number fraction of coarse particles ($>2.05{\mu}m$) containing chloride was 16.2% during AD event. Relatively low particles containing nitrate compared to those containing sulfate and chloride were found in AD event. Micro-PIXE elemental maps indicated that a large number of AD particles were internally mixed with man-made zinc. The highest peaks of EC and OC concentrations were appeared at $0.01-0.43{\mu}m$ particle aerodynamic diameter. High EC concentration in $PM_1$ was might be caused by the Saemangeum Seawall Project that was being conducted during our field measurement.
Sulfur hexafluoride is the most commly used insulation gas in electrical systems. Gas insulated systems are widely used in the electric power industry for transmission and distribution of electrical energy. When $SF_6$ was first discovered, the potential application was only considered for insulation because of good dielectric properties. But the widespread use of $SF_6$ gas by electric power and other industries has led to increase concentrations of $SF_6$ gas in the atmosphere. This concern as to possible effects on global warming because $SF_6$ is a potent greenhouse gas. That's why firstly we studied uniform and nonuniform field property by mixing $SF_6$ and N2 gas. This paper presents the dielectric strength and insulating property for particle contamination under $SF_6/N_2$ mixtures. Two types of mixed gases(50% $SF_6$_50%$N_2$, 20% $SF_6$_80%$N_2$) were applied. We performed tests for the length and shape of particle. Test gas pressure is from 0.3 to 0.7 Mpa. The study was conducted to develop environment-friendly insulating material for GIS that can reduce $SF_6$ gas and make a design criteria for mixtures.

Eight sample panels using an indium tin oxide(ITO)-coated glass substrate were fabricated, with barrier ribs formed of 55 ${\mu}m$ height and 10 ${\mu}m$ width. The upper and lower substrates were designed with the same panel condition, so a cell gap of 110 ${\mu}m$ was obtained. The charged particles in a cell consisted of $TiO_2$ (for white color) or carbon black (black color), negative or positive charge control agents, and a polymer. The average diameter of the two types of particles was commonly 10 ${\mu}m$, and their q/m value was -4.5 ${\mu}C/g$ and +4.5 ${\mu}C/g$, respectively. The electrically opposite particles mixed by an agitator were loaded into their cells by a simple particle-loading method. The discharging process proceeded at a humidity of 80% and a temperature of $30^{\circ}C$. Reflectivity was measured depending on discharging time, and a hysteresis curve by bias voltage obtained for comparison between the neutralized and non-neutralized panel, in which the superior optical property of the neutralized panel was ascertained.
In the fields of plant layout optimization, the main goal is to minimize the construction cost including pipelines as satisfying all constraints such as safety and operating issues. However, what is the lacking of considerations in previous researches is to consider proper safety and maintenance spaces for a complex plant. Based on the mathematical programming, MILP(Mixed Integer Linear Programming) problems including various constraints can be formulated to find the optimal solution which is to achieve the best economic benefits. The objective function of this problem is the sum of piping cost, pumping cost and area cost. In general, many conventional optimization solvers are used to find a MILP problem. However, it is really hard to solve this problem due to complex inequality and equality constraints, since it is impossible to use the derivatives of objective functions and constraints. To resolve this problem, the PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization), which is one of the representative sampling approaches and does not need to use derivatives of equations, is employed to find the optimal solution considering various complex constraints in this study. The EO (Ethylene Oxide) plant is tested to verify the efficacy of the proposed method.
