급속(急速) 혼화공정(混和工程) 현황(現況) 및 개선(改善) 사례(事例) 연구(硏究) (Status and Design of Rapid-mix for Mechanisms of Alum coagulation)

  • An improving example for traditional rapid mix system was studied in the base of mechanisms of alum coagulation. Local status of the major water treatment plants was also investigated and evaluated for upgrading these plants. A new design and operating criterium for rapid mix system was proposed to velocity gradient, G of $1,000-1,500sec^{-1}$ and detention time, t of 1 sec from the results of experiments and literature reviews. Comparing the present rapid mix system to this criterium, apparent difference existed between them. In this study, for improving Seongnam water treatment plant, a design criterium of velocity gradient, and detention time was set to $1,100sec^{-1}$, 1 sec, respectively. A new rapid mix system adopted the nozzle injection countcurrently cross the inlet pipe to the whole area. The injection velocity was 17m/s, nozzle diameter was 1.0mm, and number of nozzle was 70. The new modified system without running present four 75 HP agitators was able to improve water quality(based on sedimentation effluent) by 15-35% and to reduce electrical energy by 98%.

폐기물을 첨가한 경량혼합토의 강도특성 분석 (Analysis of Strength Characteristics for Lightweight Soils Using Recycled Material)

  • 경량혼합토는 건설잔토나 준설토 및 현장에서 발생하는 점토나 실트질 흙을 사토처리 하지않고 현장에서 유용할 수 있는 매우 경제적이고 환경친화적인 재료이다. 최근에는 페자원(폐타이어가루, 왕겨)을 경량혼합토에 첨가하는 건설재료 재활용에 관한 연구가 진행 중에 있다. 본 연구에서는 경량혼합토를 제작하기 위해 필요한 배합설계변수인 원료토의 중량, 함수비 및 기포재와 첨가할 물의 양, 그리고 강도를 발현하기 위하여 필요한 고화재로서 시멘트첨가량에 대한 최적의 배합설계에 대한 분석을 하였다. 이를 위하여 일축압축시험에 의한 응력-변형 거동과 양생기간 및 성분비에 따른 강도분석, 폐기물 성분비에 대한 실험강도 비교분석을 수행하였다. 마지막으로, 합리적이고 경제적인 배합비 산출을 위하여 경량혼합토의 목표강도를 결정하고 최적의 배합설계 변수를 제시하였다.

  • The government is encouraging the notice of obligatory reclaimed asphalt as a result of the economic and social positioning of green growth to reduce the amount of waste resources and to solve natural resource problems by recycling continuously generated waste resources. However, it is necessary to develop application guideline for each application to apply reclaimed asphalt to the site because quality control of the reclaimed asphalt is difficult and the specifications are ambiguous as well. Therefore, in this study, the mix design, quality test, performance test, and finite element analysis about reclaimed Asphalt Pavement were conducted to develop application guideline for reclaimed hot asphalt. The mix design was carried out for the comparative general hot mix asphalt mixture, the reclaimed hot mix asphalt mixture using the additive, and the reclaimed hot mix asphalt mixture without the additive. Indirect tensile strength and tensile strength ratio tests were used to characterize the reclaimed hot mix asphalt mixture. Using the results of dynamic modulus test and FWD test for KPRP analysis and finite element analysis, the performance life was evaluated for general pavement and pavement using recycled aggregate. Finally, the life cycle cost analysis was used to compare and analyze the economics of reclaimed asphalt concrete pavement.

인공어초용 재생골재 콘크리트의 최적 배합설계 모델 (Optimal Mix Design Model of Recycled Aggregate Concrete for Artificial fishing Reefs)

  • The Purpose of this study is to recycle the waste concrete, which is generated in huge quantities, from construction works. in order to achieve this goal, it is important to determine the compressive strength, workability, slump, and ultrasonic velocity of recycled aggregate concrete. Thus, several experiment parameters are considered, such as water-cement ratios, sand percentage, and fine aggregate composition ratios, in order to apply the recycled aggregate concrete to pre-cast artificial fishing reefs. From the results, it has been shown that the proper mix designs for reef concrete are W/C=45%, S/a=50%, SR50:SN50 in recycled sand and natural sand mix combination case, W/C=45%, S/a=50%, SC50:SN50 in crushed sand and natural sand mix combination case, W/C=45%, S/a=50%, SR50:SC50 in recycled sand and crushd sand mix combination case. Also, this study shows that the shape and surface roughness of fine aggregate particles have an effect on the strength, slump, ultrasonic velocity of tested concrete, and the compressive strength ratios of 7days' and 90days' curing ages of recycled aggregate concrete are about 70% and 110% of 28days' curing age.

열분해 카본블랙 사용량에 따른 밀입도 아스팔트 혼합물 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of Dense Graded Asphalt Mixture Modfied by Pyrolysis Carbon Black)

  • 본 폐타이어로부터 추출한 열분해 카본블랙(PCB)을 13mm 표층용 밀입도 아스팔트 혼합물 공용성능을 평가하였다. 최적배합설계를 시행하였고, 최적아스팔트 함량은 5.8%을 이용하였다. 아스팔트 혼합물의 탄성계수 평가를 위해 자유단 공진주 시험하였다. PCB 사용량이 증가하면, 측정된 탄성계수는 감소하였다. 다만, 감쇄비 변화는 미미한 것으로 나타났다.평가시험은 간접인장강도시험, 소성변형시험 및 포장설계법을 이용한 전산해석을 이용하였다. PCB 사용시 수침 전과 후의 강도감소율이 평균 10% 이하로 나타났다. 소성변형의 경우 PCB 10% 이상 사용시 오히려 소성변형이 크게 발생하였다. 포장 설계법 전산해석으로부터, PCB 5% 사용시 Top-Down 및 Bottom-Up 균열 저항성이 증가하였고, 소성변형 저감 효과가 크게 나타났다. 열분해 카본블랙 10% 및 15% 사용시 소성변형은 적게 나타났지만, 내구성은 크게 저하되는 것으로 나타났다. 전체적으로 PCB 5%를 이용한 표층용 아스팔트 혼합물의 공용성이 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

아스팔트 긴급보수용 스프레이 패칭 장비 개발 및 현장 적용성 평가 (Development of a Spray-Injection Patching System and a Field Performance Evaluation of 100% RAP Asphalt Mixtures using a Rapid-Setting Polymer-Modified Asphalt Emulsion)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study was to develop an urgent road-repair system and perform a field applicability test, as well as discover the optimum mix design for machine applications compared to the optimum mix design for lab applications. METHODS : According to reviews of the patent and developed equipment, self-propelled and mix-in-place equipment types are suitable for urgent pavement repair, e.g., potholes and cracks. The machine-application mix design was revised based on the optimum lab-test mix design, and the field application of a spray-injection system was performed on the job site. The mixture from the machine application and lab application was subjected to a wet-track abrasion test and a wheel-tracking test to calibrate the machine application. RESULTS and CONCLUSIONS : This study showed that the binder content could differ for the lab application and the machine application in the same setting. Based on the wet-track abrasion test result, the binder contents of the machine application exceeded the binder contents of the lab application by 1-1.5% on the same setting value. Moreover, the maximum dynamic stability value for the machine application showed 1% lower binder contents than the maximum lab-application value. Collectively, the results of the two different tests showed that the different sizes and operating methods of the machine and lab applications could affect the mix designs. Further studies will be performed to verify the bonding strength and monitor the field application.

여산믹스문제를 위한 발견적접근 (A Heuristic Approach to Budget-Mix Problems)

  • An effectively designed budget system in the poor resources environment necessarily has three design criteria : (i) to be both planning-oriented and control-oriented, (ii) to be both rationalistic and realistic, (iii) to be sensitive to the variations of resources environment. PPB system is an extreme (planning-oriented and rationalistic) and conventional OEB/OUB system is the other extreme (control-oriented and incrementalistic). Generally, the merits of rationalism are limited because of the infeasibility of applications. Hence, mixtures of the two extremes such as MBO, ZBB, and RZBB have been examined and applied during the last decade. The classical mathematical models of capital budgeting are the starting points of the development of the Budget-Mix Model introduced in this paper. They are modified by the followings: (i) technological-resource constraints, (ii) bounded-variable constraint, (iii) the exchange rules. Special emphasis is laid on the above (iii), because we need more efficient interresource exchanges in the budget-mix process. The Budget-Mix Model is not based on optimization, but a heuristic approach which assures a satisficing solution. And the application fields of this model range between the incremental Nonzero-Base Budgeting and the rational Zero-Base Budgeting. In this thesis, the author suggests 'the budget- mix concept' and a budget-mix model. Budget-mix is a decision process of making program-mix and resource-mix together. For keeping this concept in the existing organization realistic, we need the development of quantitative models describing budget-mix situations.

라텍스개질 콘크리트의(LMC)의 강도특성 및 배합인자 결정방법 (Strength Properties and Determination Method of Mix Proportion Factor of Latex Modified Concrete)

  • This study are decided the mix proportion method of latex modified concrete for agricultural concrete structures from the results of workability and strength test with mix proportion factor. For mix proportion factor, this study are selected the water-cement ratio, unit cement amount and latex content. Also, this study were performed the slump, compressive strength test and microstructure analysis using the scanning electron microscope(SEM). The strength and slump of LMC are dependent with unit cement amount, latex content, and water-cement ratio. Especially, the strength of LMC are not controlled by single mix proportion factor but effected by combined mix proportion factor. Microstructure investigation are showed the LMC are reduced the internal pore volume and enhanced the transition zone between cement paste and aggregate interface. This effect get by consist of latex films in the concrete. Also, this study were recommended the mix proportion method for LMC. These mix proportions method are estimated the mix design for satisfied the target performance which are applied the agricultural concrete structure.
