  • STATEMENT OF PROBLEM. Use of custom tray and tray adhesive is clinically recommended for elastomeric impression material. However there is not clear mention of drying time of tray adhesive in achieving appropriate bonding strength of tray material and impression material. PURPOSE. This study is to investigate an appropriate drying time of tray adhesives by evaluating tensile bonding strength between two types of polyvinylsiloxane impression materials and resin tray, according to various drying time intervals of tray adhesives, and with different manufacturing company combination of impression material and tray adhesive. MATERIAL AND METHODS. Adhesives used in this study were Silfix (Dentsply Caulk, Milford, Del, USA) and VPS Tray Adhesive (3M ESPE, Seefeld, Germany) and impression materials were Aquasil Ultra (monophase regular set, Dentsply Caulk, Milford, Del, USA) and Imprint II Garant (regular body, 3M ESPE, Seefeld, Germany). They were used combinations from the same manufacture and exchanged combinations of the two. The drying time was designed to air dry, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, and 25 minutes. Total 240 of test specimens were prepared by auto-polymerizing tray material(Instant Tray Mix, Lang, Wheeling, Il, USA) with 10 specimens in each group. The specimens were placed in the Universal Testing machine (Instron, model 3366, Instron Corp, University avenue, Nowood, MA, USA) to perform the tensile test (cross head speed 5 mm/min). The statistically efficient drying time was evaluated through ANOVA and Scheffe test. All the tests were performed at 95% confidence level. RESULTS. The results revealed that at least 10 minutes is needed for Silfix-Aquasil, and 15 minutes for VPS Tray Adhesive-Imprint II, to attain an appropriate tensile bonding strength. VPS Tray Adhesive-Imprint II had a superior tensile bonding strength when compared to Silfix-Aquasil over 15 minutes. Silfix-Aquasil had a superior bonding strength to VPS Tray Adhesive-Aquasil, and VPS Tray Adhesive-Imprint II had a superior tensile bonding strength to Silfix-Imprint II at all drying periods. CONCLUSION. Significant increase in tensile bonding strength with Silfix-Aquasil and VPS Tray adhesive-Imprint II combination until 10 and 15 minutes respectively. Tray adhesive-impression material combination from the same company presented higher tensile bonding strength at all drying time intervals than when using tray adhesive-impression material of different manufactures.

  • This study was achieved experiment to evaluate effect on fluidity and strength development ratio by slag replacement ratio to $40{\sim}100MPa$ HSC(High Strength Concrete) containing blast furnace slag(GGBS) and fly-ash(FA). Also it was suggested that most suitable replacement ratio of GGBS is effect by strength. The mix plan of concrete used in an experiment was used to the GGBS replacement ratio of 0, 12, 25% as the cement materials, and fly ash was used equally by replacement ratio 15%. According to test results, for use GGBS with fly ash as binder, slump of GGBS replacement ratio 25% is the most superior in 40MPa series, and appeared by thing which slump flow of GGBS 12% is the most superior in 60, 80MPa's series. The other side, was expressed that fluidity is excellent by FA replacement ratio 15% in 100MPa series. In the case of compressive strength 40MPa, it was exposed that the strength revelation is effect in until the GGBS principal parts ratio increases by replacement ratio 25%. Also, it was exposed that GGBS mixing ratio more than replacement ratio 25% is not since fitness in high strength concrete more than 100MPa.

  • $CO_2$ emitted from building materials and construction materials industry reaches about 67 million tons, which occupy about 30 % of $CO_2$ emitted from the construction field. Controls on the use of consumed fossil fuels and reduction of emission gases are essential for the reduction of $CO_2$ in the construction area as we reduce the second and third curing to emit $CO_2$ in the construction materials industry. Accordingly, this study applied the low energy curing admixture (hereinafter "LA") to the extruded panels to observe the physical properties, depending on the mixing amount of fiber, type of fiber and mixing ratio of fiber. The type of fiber did not appear to be a main factor to affect strength, while the LA mixing ratio and mixing amount of fiber appeared to be major factors to affect strength. Especially, the highest strength was developed when the LA mixing ratio was 40%, whereas the test object with the mixing ratio of 50% resulted in the decrease of strength. In addition, it appeared that the mixing ratio of fiber greatly affected flexural strength and strength increased as the mixing ratio increased.

  • The characteristics of natural resin, sap of the lacquer tree were examined as an adhesive for the ceramic conservation since it has such outstanding properties like corrosion resistance against acid and alkali, heat-resistance, waterproof, antiseptic and protection against insects. In order to utilize raw lacquer as an adhesive not under the hardening conditions of lacquer like high humidity (RH 75 to 85%) and high temperature (120 to $170^{\circ}C$), but under normal condition, isinglass and animal glue were added to raw lacquer at certain ratio. In addition, the viscosity and the drying time were measured and their possibilities of application were also investigated through measurement of tensile and adhesive strength. As a result of experiment, it was possible to dry at room temperature and RH $50{\pm}5%$ to mix with raw lacquer and glue, and the drying time of sample with animal glue was faster than that of isinglass. Furthermore, the adhesion of sample with glue was increased more than raw lacquer. It seems to be possible to use the environmental friendly traditional adhesive for the ceramic conservation and restoration, if there are studies or examinations of safety of applications on objects and weathering resistance.

  • The entry of large discount stores such as E-mart, LG mart, Magnet etc. into small cities have had a profound impact on the business of small-sized retailers. Now, it becomes the matter of survival for small-sized retailers and it is almost impossible to reverse those trends. Without satisfying consumers' various needs and wants, retailers can not survive. Therefore, it is extremely important to understand retail competition from the perspective of consumers in order for retailers to survive in the turbulent environment. The previous research studies on retail competition have focused on the comparison among different types of retailers with respect to strategic retail mix variables. However, they do not consider the competitive aspects of consumers' sides. In addition, we do not fully understand the meaning of "shopping." Shopping means hedonic shopping as well as utilitarian shopping. Utilitarian aspects are important but consumers also prefer' hedonic aspects too. That is the reason that traditional retailers such as small-sized retailers can not compete with modem and large retailers. We use three different methods to identify the macro and competitive structure. of retailing with respect to shopping. Factor analysis, multidimensional scaling, and multiple correspondence analysis are used to produce perceptual mapping of retail competition. Department store and large discount store are identified as close competitors but both might have an indirect impact on small-sized retailers through demand shift toward high end retailers.

  • Though a dozen of different software life cycle models are suggested, there is no universal model which can satisfy all the characteristics of software. Organizations mix and match different life cycle models to develop a model more tailored for their systems and capabilities. We suggest overlapped-concurrent development life cycle model that is more suitable in various software development environment. Firstly, we divided the development process into abstract and implementation stage. Abstract stage is from software concept phase to detailed design starting time, and implementation stage is from detailed design phase to system testing phase. Next, the abstract stage introduced the overlapped phase concept that begins the next phase when the step is completed 20% by applying pareto's law. In the implementation stage, we introduced the concurrent development which the several phases are performed some time as when one use-case (UC) is completed the next development phase is started immediately. The proposed model has an advantage that it can reduce the inefficiency of development resource greatly. This model can increase the customer satisfaction with a great product at a low cost and on a short schedule. Also, this model can contribute to increase the software development success rate.

  • How to determine the extent of national energy security? In this paper, we estimate it by comparative analysis of South Korea and other OECD countries in terms of energy diversity (fuel diversity). Energy security consists of 4 key factors such as availability, accessibility, acceptability, affordability. Especially the importance of accessibility can grow as local imbalance of supply and demand increases. As a proxy of the accessibility, fuel diversity can be a significant indicator to estimate a measure of energy security. In this paper, we use Shannon-Wiener index to measure energy diversity. If fuel diversity increases, the stability of energy security also should increase, because of the smoothing effect to lessen dependence on key energy sources. In 2012 Korean growth rate of H-index (energy diversity) is 18.38%, which is higher than other OECD countries. However, Korean H-index itself is 1.93, lesser than other countries. Shift from oil to coals/gas within fossil fuels has more impact on H-index than weight transition from fossil fuels to renewable energies in Korea. We conclude that more renewable energy is an effective solution to achieve higher energy diversity and ultimately higher energy security as the same as the German case.

  • Within twenty years, Permanent Affordable Housing provided for people's security of housing in late 1980's yields the principles of equity with tenant's in new one supplied, thus being confronted by the requirements that existing welfare service for tenants should be improved. Reflecting on these, this study means to prepare the basic data for the welfare policy as applying welfare service types on basis of housing locational characteristics, tenants tier compared with welfare service needs of permanent affordable housing tenants. For achieving this aim, the range and mixed use mechanism of welfare service are investigated as reviewing the related research and findings. Based on this investigation, 7 types of welfare service(Independence, Half-support, Child care, Juvenile, Self-support, Social-mix, and Single household) are established. On the analysis of survey, the welfare service needs are investigated as grouping with locational characteristics and survey target. In addition, the welfare service types are reorganized by analysis of tenant's demographic and locational characteristic on each housing and are compared with tenants needs. Although, the demographic of permanent affordable housing generally shows that the tenants are constituted with aged people, the housing with high ratio of children and juvenile can be applied with Child Care type and Juvenile type. As a result of comparison, the ratio of independence type, juvenile type, and single household type are more on the large housing and housing on metropolitan area, and the ratio of half-support type and child care type are more on the small housing and housing on small city area.

  • In this thesis, I pursued how the concept of documentary photography in Korea was formed, and how Koreans perceive the current mix of some concepts and how they are tracked that. Korean photography society, directly or indirectly, accepted the concept and format of documentary photography of the United States in which information and discussion of the history and concept by examining the process of being transferred to Korea are examined. Giroksajin(記錄寫眞) is a translation word of documentary photography which was a part of documentary movements in the United States of the 1930s, and are all based on that concept. When we order Korean documentary photography and the subject matter must be distinct, attitude toward the things should be based on the exact perceptions of this age awareness, to be able to give enough information, and finally moved forward to move the human emotion must be. When this condition is equipped with the photographers and archivists perspective is revealed clearly the social and historical records that are meaningful. Documentary photography is the subject of the photographers and archivists that want to record the important things, but what you can get in the records and the question of how to use it is also important. Korean documentary photography, not only records the things, just to have a meaningful supplement to get done the exact context of information production and led to the conclusion that the strengthening of documentation strategies.

  • In this study, recycled aggregate and natural aggregate were mixed in advance using an aggregate mixing facility that was developed to improve the quality of recycled aggregate concrete. Then the mixed aggregate was applied and concrete characteristics before and after a mix were considered. Based on the findings extracted, this study aimed to suggest a new direction for quality stabilization and application activation of recycled aggregate. The test results of change rates of mortars and coarse aggregates in fresh concrete mixed by a concrete mixer, before and after mixing aggregates showed that the variations of the mortars and coarse aggregates in the concrete mixed with the aggregates beforehand were decreased than those in the concrete before mixing them. The variation of compressive strength and the mean compressive strength at the ages of 3 and 7 days showed similar results before and after the aggregates were mixed, and the strength at the age of 28 days before and after mixing them showed larger deviation than that at the ages of 3 and 7 days. The use of the mixed aggregates after mixing aggregates beforehand reduced the variation in strength and is believed that it is advantageous for long-age strength development. The above results show that the variations of coarse aggregates and compressive strength in the concrete using the mixed aggregates produced by mixing recycled aggregates and natural aggregates beforehand are reduced so it will be possible to produce the homogeneous concrete by mixing aggregates beforehand.
