  • Recently the convergence of healthcare technology is used for daily life healthcare monitoring. Cardiac arrhythmia is presented by the state of the heart irregularity. Abnormal heart's electrical signal pathway or heart's tissue disorder could be the cause of cardiac arrhythmia. Fatal arrhythmia could put patient's life at risk. Therefore arrhythmia detection is very important. Previous studies on the detection of arrhythmia in various ECG analysis and classification methods had been carried out. In this paper, an ECG signal processing techniques to detect abnormal ECG based on DTW minimum accumulation distance through the template matching for normalized data and variable threshold method for ECG R-peak detection. Signal processing techniques able to determine the occurrence of normal ECG and abnormal ECG. Abnormal ECG detection algorithm using DTW minimum accumulation distance method is performed using MITBIH database for performance evaluation. Experiment result shows the average percentage accuracy of using the propose method for Rpeak detection is 99.63 % and abnormal detection is 99.60 %.

  • Recently, level meters have been associated with the safety and maintenance of industrial sites and require a wide measurement range. Generally, to ensure the measurement range of the level meter, the measurement environment is improved to reduce the noise or to compensate the distortion of the signal through signal processing. The noise of FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) radar level meter or the distortion of the signal affects the near region characteristics of the level gauge, resulting in a reduction of the minimum detection distance. In this paper, an equalizer filter considering characteristics of window function and bit spectrum is applied to remove the noise in the near region of the level meter to improve the minimum detection distance performance and to improve the measurement reliability in the vicinity of the level meter, which is relatively difficult to detect, we want to improve the detection range.

  • Rice (Oryza Sativa) is an important source of food for the people of our country, even though of world also .It is also considered as the staple food of our country and we know agriculture is the main source country's economy, hence the crop of Rice plays a vital role over it. For increasing the growth and production of rice crop, ground-breaking technique for the detection of any type of disease occurring in rice can be detected and categorization of rice crop diseases has been proposed in this paper. In this research paper, we perform comparison between two classifiers namely MDC and Bayes' classifiers Survey over different digital image processing techniques has been done for the detection of disease in rice crops. The proposed technique involves the samples of 200 digital images of diseased rice leaf images of five different types of rice crop diseases. The overall accuracy that we achieved by using Bayes' Classifiers and MDC are 69.358 percent and 81.06 percent respectively.

  • There are three standard weight functions on a linear code viz. Hamming weight, Lee weight, and Euclidean weight. Euclidean weight function is useful in connection with the lattice constructions [2] where the minimum norm of vectors in the lattice is related to the minimum Euclidean weight of the code. In this paper, we obtain an upper bound over the number of parity check digits for Euclidean weight codes detecting and correcting burst errors.

  • In this paper, we present a robot off-Line programming system with collision detection. The collision detection is a very important factor of robot oft-line programming system for collision avoidance, path planning, and so on. The System developed in this paper, basically using an algorithm for the minimum distance calculation between general polyhedra. The proposed system shows an exact and interactive result in static and dynamic environments.

  • In this paper, we suggest tele operation system of reclaimers and some side technologies for performing easy operation. The reclaimers in the raw ore yard are being used to dig ironstone and transfer it to the blast furnaces. The side technologies are to determine the minimum stacking distance between piles, collision avoidance of reclaimers and stackers. For simplicity, the pile and the boom of the reclaimer are mathematically modeled as a cone and a line in the 3-dimensional space respectively. The minimum stacking distance is obtained using the condition that the cone and the line never met. The modeling errors for the pile and reclaimers are compensated by considering the width of their reclaimer. We have also proposed a 2-stage collision detection method for the moving machines. The reclaiming heights of the pile are set to predetermined ones to make tele-operation easy.

  • Multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems are used to improve the transmission rate in proportion to the number of antennas. However, their computational complexity is very high for the detection in the receiver. The sphere decoding (SD) is a detection algorithm with reduced complexity. In this paper, an improved Schnorr-Euchner SD (SE SD) is proposed based on the minimum mean square error (MMSE) and the Euclidean distance criteria without additional complexity.

  • We suggest a system to detection whether material picked up is double or single when the robot feeds them in automation line. This system measures thickness of metal plate and alarms when they are double sheet measuring boundary lines of metal sheet. This system calculates the minimum distance of straight boundary lines by eliminating noise in the edge regions. In the experimental system, double or single is determined by calculating implemented the thickness in the image where the distance of pixels are retrieved by the hash table. In this paper, the algorithm of histogram is adapted to experiment in the implement, thus proved as double sheet detection system.

  • A new method which uses distance fields scheme and marching cube algorithm is proposed in order to get an accurate offset model of arbitrary shapes composed of triangular net. In the method, the space bounding the triangular net is divided into smaller cells. For the efficient calculation of distance fields, valid cells which will generate a portion of offset model are selected previously by the suggested detection algorithm. These valid cells are divided again into much smaller voxels which assure required accuracy. At each voxel distance fields are created by calculating the minimum distances between corner points of voxels and triangular net. After generating the whole distance fields, the offset surface were constructed by using the conventional marching cube algorithm together with mesh smoothing scheme. The effectiveness and validity of this new offset method was demonstrated by performing numerical experiments for the various types of triangular net.

  • An adaptive K-best detection scheme is proposed for MIMO systems. The proposed scheme changes the number of survivor paths, K based on the degree of the reliability of Zero-Forcing (ZF) estimates at each K-best step. The critical drawback of the fixed K-best detection is that the correct path's metric may be temporarily larger than K minimum paths metrics due to imperfect interference cancellation by the incorrect ZF estimates. Based on the observation that there are insignificant differences among path metrics (ML distances) when the ZF estimates are incorrect, we use the ratio of the minimum ML distance to the second minimum as a reliability indicator for the ZF estimates. So, we adaptively select the value of K according to the ML distance ratio. It is shown that the proposed scheme achieves the significant improvement over the conventional fixed K-best scheme. The proposed scheme effectively achieves the performance of large K-best system while maintaining the overall average computation complexity much smaller than that of large K system.
