격납용기 Type "C" 누설률시험 요건 최적화 (The Optimization for Type "C" LLRT Requirements of Containment Vessel)

  • The containment local leakage rate testing in nuclear power plants is performed in accordance with ANSI/ANS-56.8(1994) in Korea. Two methods, the make-up flow rate and the pressure decay, are used for LLRT. Though ANSI/ANS-56.8 does not define clearly the minimum test duration for the make-up flow rate method, it requires obtaining the data after reaching the stable condition. Thus the prerequisite stable condition for data acquisition and the test period for type "C" LLRT is differently applied to each NPPs. Therefore, this study presents a unified test criteria for data stabilization and test duration through experiments to improve the test reliability for type "C".

  • The NBI (Neutral BGeam Injection) System for the Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR) is composed of ion sources, neutralizers, bending magnets, ion dumps, and calorimeter. The vacuum chamber, in which all of the beam line components are enclosed, is composed of differential pumping system for the effective transfer of the neutral beams. The needed pumping speeds of each of the divided vacuum chamber and the optimized gas flow rate ot the neutralizer were calculated with the help of the particle balance equations. The minimum gas flow rate to the ion sources for producing needed beam current (120kV, 65A, 78MW), the pressure distributions in the vacuum chamber for minimizing re-ionization loss, and the beam loss rate on the beam line components were used as the input in the calculation. Also the scenario for short pulse operation was determined by analysing the time dependent equations. It showed that beam extraction during less than 0.5 sec could be made only with TMP.

누설 모양에 따른 파이프 누수 특성에 대한 수치 해석 연구 (Numerical Investigation of the Effect of Crack Shape on Leak Flow Characteristics in Pipelines)

  • The effect of crack shape on the leak flow characteristics in pipelinesis investigated using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations. In the present study, two different crack shapes are considered: axial crack andcircumferential crack. The present simulation results showed that under the same crack area, the aspect ratio influences the leak rate. When the aspect ratio is1, the leak rate reaches the minimum value. Moreover, the leak rate in the circumferentialcrack is slightly larger than that in the axial crack. The change in the leak rateaccording to the crack shape could be explained by the different velocitydistributions at the leak position depending on the aspect ratio.

협착 동맥에서의 맥동 혈류 유동에 대한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical Study of Pulsatile Blood Flow in Stenotic Artery)

  • In the present computational study, simple stenotic artery models using pulsatile flow condition were investigated. A 1 Hz non-reversing sinusoidal velocity for pulsatile flow was imposed at the flow inlet and the corresponding Womersley number based on the vessel radius is 2.75. The simple stenotic geometries have been used that consist of 25%, 50% and 75% semicircular constriction in a cylindrical tube. In this paper, numerical solutions are presented for a first harmonic oscillatory flow using commercial software ADINA 8.4. As stenosis and Reynolds number increase, the maximum wall shear stress(WSS) increases while the minimum WSS decreases. As the stenotic rate increases, the pressure drop at the throat severely decreases to collapse the artery and plaque. It is found that the fluid mechanical disturbances due to the constriction were highly sensitive with rate of stenosis and Reynolds number. When Reynolds number and stenosis increase, the larger recirculation region exists. In this recirculation region the possibility of plaque attachment is increasingly higher. The present results enhance our understanding of the hemodynamics of a stenotic artery.

우드펠릿의 저장량에 따른 발화온도 및 발화유도시간에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Ignition Temperature and Ignition Induction Time According to Storage Amount of Wood Pellets)

  • 우드펠릿은 화력발전소 및 화목 보일러의 연료로 많이 사용되고 있으나 발열량이 높은 우드펠릿을 장기간 보관 시 자연발화의 위험성이 있다. 본 연구에서는 시료 용기의 크기에 따라 유량의 변화에 따른 최소자연발화온도와 발화한계온도를 구하였으며, 발화한계온도를 이용하여 겉보기 활성화 에너지를 측정함으로써 우드펠릿의 발화 특성을 예측하였다. 겉보기 활성화 에너지는 190.224 kJ/mol을 구하였다. 용기에 저장된 시료량이 두꺼워질수록 시료 표면에서 중심까지의 열전달이 어려워 발화유도시간이 긴 것으로 나타났으며, 용기의 크기가 같을 경우 유량의 양이 많아 질수록 자연발화온도는 낮아졌다. 또한 시료용기가 커질수록 자연발화온도는 낮아지고 발화유도시간은 길어지는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 해수침투 방지나 대수층 인공함양을 위하여 다수의 관정을 통하여 대수층으로 물을 주입하는 공법이 있다. 이러한 공법의 경우 소기의 목적을 달성하기 위해서는 관정의 위치와 주입량, 그리고 결과되는 관정의 지하수위 등이 별도의 지하수 모델링을 통하여 결정된다. 주입수는 통상 관망을 통하여 관정으로 공급되는 데 이 때 관망에는 관정별 주입량을 조절하기 위한 밸브가 설치된다. 본 연구에서는 다수의 주입 관정이 연결된 관망에서 사전에 산정된 주입량 분포를 준수하기 위한 밸브 개도와 주입관망 가동에 필요한 펌프 최소 소요양정 산정방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구결과는 주입군정 운영의 정밀도를 향상시키는 데 기여할 수 있다.

Critical Shoulder Height of Raceway in Ball Bearing Considering Elastohydrodynamic Lubrication

  • In this study, the effects of Elasto-hydrodynamic lubrication pressure on the critical shoulder height of raceway in an angular contact ball bearing were investigated. Both 3D contact analyses using an influence function and the EHL analysis were conducted for the contact geometry between the ball and raceways. The pressure distributions by 3D contact analysis and EHL analysis for an example bearing were compared. The effect of ellipse truncation on the minimum film thickness also investigated from EHL analysis. The critical shoulder height in the dry contact and the EHL state were compared for various applied loads. It is shown that when the ellipse truncation occurs, the pressure spike for the EHL conjunction is higher than that for the dry contact, and its location moves more inward of the contact center. The steep pressure gradients would increase the flow rate, so in order to maintain flow continuity a significant reduction in film thickness and an abrupt rise in pressure occurs in the edge of shoulder. Significant reduction of the minimum film thickness occurs near the edge of shoulder. The critical shoulder heights in the EHL state are calculated as higher values compared with in the dry contact. This results shows that the determination of critical shoulder height by the EHL analysis is more proper.

참전복, Haliotis discus hannai 유생발생 및 채묘에 미치는 아연독성 (Effects of Zinc Toxicity on Larval Development and Seed Collection of Abalone, haliotis discus hannai)

  • in the present study, the zinc toxicity to larval development and seed attachment of the abalone, Haliotis discus hannai was obtained under continuous flow through system. The zinc concentration melted from zinc coating pipe for 7 months ranged from $89.00\pm2.55 \mu\textrm{g}/\ell to 15.23\pm2.58\mu\textrm{g}/\ell(Y=0.85M^2-19.71+109.96)$. Treatments were carried out with zinc concentration $0~160 \mu\textrm{g}/\ell$. The maximum and minimum of fertilization rate were $87.7\pm5.3%$ in control, $83.7\pm7.6%$ in zinc concentration $160\mu\textrm{g}/\ell$, respectively. The maximum and minimum of hatching rate were $87.5\pm4.5%$ in zinc concentration $10\mu\textrm{g}/\ell$, $79.3\pm5.6%$ in zinc concentration $160\mu\textrm{g}/\ell$, respectively. Both of the results were not significantly different (P>0.05). But the normality rate, setting rate and survival rate of abalone larvae at over zinc concentration TEX>$20\mu\textrm{g}/\ell$ decreased rapidly and showed significantly different from those of the other group(P<0.05).

Elliptic Feature of Coherent Fine Scale Eddies in Turbulent Channel Flows

  • Direct numerical simulations (DNS) of turbulent channel flows up to $Re_{\tau}=1270$ are performed to investigate an elliptic feature and strain rate field on cross sections of coherent fine scale eddies (CFSEs) in wall turbulence. From DNS results, the CFSEs are educed and the strain rate field around the eddy is analyzed statistically. The principal strain rates (i.e. eigenvalues of the strain rate tensor) at the CFSE centers are scaled by the Kolmogorov length $\eta$ and velocity $U_k$. The most expected maximum (stretching) and minimum (compressing) eigenvalues at the CFSE centers are independent of the Reynolds number in each $y^+$ region (i. e. near-wall, logarithmic and wake regions). The elliptic feature of the CFSE is observed in the distribution of phase-averaged azimuthal velocity on a plane perpendicular to the rotating axis of the CFSE $(\omega_c)$. Except near the wall, phase-averaged maximum $(\gamma^{\ast}/\gamma_c^{\ast})$ and minimum $(\alpha^{\ast}/\alpha_c^{\ast})$ an eigenvalues show maxima on the major axis around the CFSE and minima on the minor axis near the CFSE center. This results in high energy dissipation rate around the CFSE.

  • As the result of uniaxial compression strength test on the CLMS mixing BFS and SS with BFS 4000, it required to determine the desired strength through increasing unit quantity of cement in mixing process because of dramatic strength deterioration of strength according to increasing replacing rate. In this study's result, regardless of differences in fine aggregates used, in order to get uniaxial compression strength in the scope exceeding criteria of minimum strength for applying to the field, the most reasonable combination was to mix replacing BFS with fineness of 6000 in 30%. For the CLMS mixing BFS and SS, in order to improve flow ability by securing quantity of minimum unit and to repress bleeding rate with securing uniaxial compress strength considering the field applicability, regardless of differences in fine aggregates used, to mix BFS over 6000 in 30% was most effective.
