무선 경구투여캡슐 설계의 기술동향 (Technological Trend for Wireless Ingestible Capsule Design)

  • 최근 경구약물캡슐에 무선통신수단인 RFID태그기술이 접목되어 이를 이용한 진단 및 모니터링 기술이 세계적으로 급속히 진화하고 있다. 이에 소형이고 저 전력을 소비하며 안전한 RFID태그장착 캡슐에 대한 국내연구개발이 절실한 시점이다. 이 논문은 캡슐통신에 적합한 무선주파수 적합 기술, 생체 내에서 분해 가능한 캡슐 및 RFID 태그 안테나 설계 및 구성기술분야를 대상으로 최신 특허 및 기술, 연구개발정보를 도출하고 구현과제를 분석 제시하는데 중점을 둔다. 논문은 서론, 기술개요, 연구개발 동향, 특허동향, 시장동향, 결론 및 제언으로 구성된다

  • 스마트폰은 PC의 소형화된 운영 체제를 탑재한 기기에 무선전화가 가능한 하드웨어와 소프트웨어 모듈이 추가된 휴대 전화이다. 본 연구는 연령별로 스마트폰이 보급 확대되는 과정 및 특성에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 KISA와 KISDI의 설문조사를 참고하여 스마트폰을 통한 미디어 이용 행태의 연령별 특징에 대해 조사해 보고자 한다. 스마트폰은 손쉽게 사용이 간편하고 소형 PC와 같아 휴대성과 이동성이 뛰어나다. 시간과 장소의 영향을 받지 않고 언제 어디서나 정보 및 자료 검색이 용이하다. 사진 및 동영상의 촬영이나 저장이 용이하고 여러 지인들과 다양한 정보교류가 가능하다. 모든 연령대에서 스마트폰을 널리 사용하여 삶의 만족도가 향상되었으면 한다.

Characteristics of a Miniaturized Ultrasonic Motor for Auto-focusing of a Mobile Phone

  • In this paper, the design and characteristics of a novel ultrasonic motor are investigated. Such a motor is appropriate far use in the optical zoom or auto focusing functions of the lens system in mobile phones. Its design and simulation of performances are carried out by FEM commercial software (ATILA). The shape of the motor is similar to a square without one side, on which an optical lens can be mounted. Two sheets of piezoelectric ceramics are adhered to both sides of two legs of the elastic body, respectively To drive the ultrasonic motor, the voltage is applied to two sheets of piezoelectric ceramics bonded to one leg. The rotation direction can be easily changed by switching the piezoelectric sheets bonded to the other leg, to which voltage is applied. A proto type of the motor is fabricated and its outer size is $10^*10^*2[mm3]$ including the camera lens of which the diameter is 7.5(mm). Its power consumption is about 0.3[W] and the speed of rotation is adjustable from 10 to 200[rpm] according to the applied voltage

  • In this study, a small punch creep (SP-Creep) test using miniaturized specimen has been described for the development of the new creep test method for high temperature structural components such as headers and tubes of boiler, turbine casing and rotor, and reactor vessel. The SP-Creep testing technique has been applied to 1Cr-0.5Mo steel used widely as boiler header material and the creep test temperature are varied at $550^{\circ}C{\sim}600^{\circ}C$. From the experimental results, e.g. SP-Creep curve behaviors, the creep rate in steady state and creep rupture life with test temperature and load, the load exponential value(n, m), the activation energy($Q_{spc}$), the Monkman-Grant relation and the creep life assessment equation etc., it can be summarized that the SP-Creep test may be a useful test method to evaluate the creep properties of the heat resisting material such as boiler header.

  • It is well-known that rectangular bulk-Si sensors prepared by etch or epi etch-stop micromachining technology are already in practical use today, but the conventional bulk-Si sensor shows some drawbacks such as large chip size and limited applications as silicon sensor device is to be miniaturized. We consider a circular-shape SOI(Silicon-On-Insulator) micro-cavity technology to facilitate multiple sensors on very small chip, to make device easier to package than conventional sensor like pressure sensor and to provide very high over-pressure capability. This paper demonstrates the cross-functional results for stress analyses(targeting $5{\mu}m$ deflection and 100MPa stress as maximum at various applicable pressure ranges), for finding permissible diaphragm dimension by output sensitivity, and piezoresistive sensor theory from two-type SOI structures where the double SOI structure shows the most feasible deflection and small stress at various ambient pressures. Those results can be compared with the ones of circular-shape bulk-Si based sensor$^{[17]}. The SOI micro-cavity formed the sensors is promising to integrate with calibration, gain stage and controller unit plus high current/high voltage CMOS drivers onto monolithic chip.

  • 연료 전지의 소형화를 위하여 흑연(graphite)를 기본으로 하는 분리판을 실리콘분리판으로 대체하였으며, 실리콘 분리판과 active area가 $4cm^2$인 MEA (membrane electrode assembly)와 결합하여 단위 전지를 제작하였다. 단위 전지에 공급되는 수소와 산소의 공급량은 고정하고 가습기의 구동 온도만을 변화시키면서 단위 전지의 성능을 확인하고 최적의 가습 조건을 결정하였다. 또한 가습 조건이 실리콘으로 제작된 연료 전지 스택에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 실리콘 분리판과 2개의 MEA로 이루어진 스택을 제작하여 가습 조건의 영향을 알아보고 실리콘 분리판으로 제작된 연료전지 스택의 문제점 및 특징을 알아보았다.

  • Small punch-creep(SP-Creep) test technique has been applied for evaluating the creep characteristics for high temperature materials. However, in order to evaluate the damage and predict the remaining life, it is necessary to establish a quantitative correlation between SP-Creep and uniaxial-creep test results. This paper presents analytical and experimental results of useful correlation between SP-Creep and uniaxial-creep properties for 9Cr1MoVNb steel at $600{\sim}650^{\circ}C$ in terms of stress(load) and activation energy during creep deformation. Especially, the activation energy obtained from SP-Creep test is linearly related to that from uniaxial-creep test at $650^{\circ}C$ as follows: $Q_{sp-p}{\fallingdotseq}1.37\;Q_{TEN},\;Q_{sp-{\sigma}}{\fallingdotseq}1.53\;Q_{TEN}$.

소형펀치 시편을 이용한 원자력 재료의 파괴저항곡선 예측 (Estimation of Fracture Resistance Curves of Nuclear Materials Using Small Punch Specimen)

  • Elastic-plastic fracture mechanics is popularly used for integrity evaluation of major components, however, it is not easy to extract standard specimens from operating facility. This paper examines how ductile fracture toughness is characterized by a small punch testing technique in conjunction with finite element analyses incorporating a damage model. At first, micro-mechanical parameters constituting Rousselier model are calibrated for typical nuclear materials using both estimated and experimental load-displacement (P-$\delta$) curves of miniaturized specimens. Then, fracture resistance (J-R) curves of relatively larger standard CT specimens are predicted by finite element analyses employing the calibrated parameters and compared with corresponding experimental ones. It was proven that estimated results by the proposed method using small punch specimen is promising and might be used as a useful tool for ductile crack growth evaluation.

  • A miniaturized time-of-flight mass spectrometer with an electron impact ionization source and sheet membrane introduction has been developed. The advantages and features of this mass spectrometer include high sensitivity, simple structure, low cost, compact volume with field portability, and ease of operation. A mass resolution of 400 at m/z 78 has been obtained with a 25 cm flight path length. Under optimized conditions, the detection limits for the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) studied were 0.2-10 ppm by volume with linear dynamic ranges greater than three orders of magnitude. The response times for various VOCs using a silicone membrane of 127 $\mu$m thickness were in the range 4.5-20 s, which provides a sample analysis time of less than 1 minute. These results indicate that the membrane introduction/time-of-flight mass spectrometer will be useful for a wide range of field applications, particularly for environmental monitoring.

마이크로 칼럼의 전자 방출원 위치 오차의 영향 (Effect of the Off-axis distance of the Electron Emitting Source in Micro-column)

  • Currently miniaturized electron-optical columns find their way into electron beam lithography systems. For better lithography process, it is required to make smaller spot size and longer working distance. But, the micro-columns of the multi-beam lithography system suffer from chromatic and spherical aberration, even when the electron beam is exactly on the symmetric axis of the micro-column. The off-axis error of the electron emitting source is expected to become worse with increasing off-axis distance of the focusing spot. Especially the electron beams far from the system optical axis have a non-negligible asymmetric intensity distribution in the micro-column. In this paper, the effect of the off-axis e-beam source is analyzed. To analyze this effect is to introduce a micro-column model of which the e-beam emitting source is aligned with the center of the electron beam by shifting them perpendicular to the system optical axis. The presented solution can be used to analysis the performance of the multi-electron-beam system. The performance parameters, such as the working distances and the focusing position are obtained by the computational simulations as a function of the off-axis distance of the emitting source.
