The TTF is a moderating variable in strengthening the relationship between EM and EI. Research design, data, and methodology: This research design was quantitative research. The respondents were 202 students from Malaysia and Indonesia who had filled out and collected an online questionnaire in Microsoft form. Three hypotheses examined the direct influence and the indirect impact of EM on EI through antecedent variables of TPB, and the effect of TTF as moderating variable to enhance the relationship between EM and EI. The data was analyzed using the WarpPLS version 7.0. Results: The result showed that EM had a significant impact on the students' EI. The interaction of EM and TTF was significantly able to improve EI. Conclusions: The findings contributed new ideas to develop the theoretical framework of the TPB model and were able be utilized by lecturers to consider the integration of EM and TTF in the model. The novelty of this study elaborated the EM and TTF variables as an extended model of the TPB.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between growth mindset, grit and self-directed learning ability of nursing students and investigate the factors influencing self-directed learning ability in online education. Data were collected through online surveys; subjects were consisted of 194 nursing students from J University in province C. Data were analyzed based on frequency, percentile, mean, Pearson's correlations, and multiple regressions. Self-directed learning ability, mindset, and grit in nursing students showed significant positive correlations with each other. Grit had the strongest influence on nursing students' self-directed learning abilities, followed by satisfaction for major studies, standard of living, interpersonal relations, and growth mindset; these factors accounted for 38.1% of the total variance in self-directed learning abilities among nursing students(Adj. R2=.381, p<.001). Overall self-directed learning ability can be improved by grit, growth mindset enhancement program.

  • This study tried to identify the psychological mechanisms that middle and high school students can adaptively solve various problems, and to identify differences according to gender and school level. To this end, the growth mindset was set as an independent variable predicting the problem-solving ability of middle and high school students, and ego-resilience and emotional intelligence were set as the mediating variables. As for the research data, responses of 94 middle school students(40 males, 54 females) and 134 high school students(63 males, 71 females) who participated through mobile and off-line were analyzed using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 18.0. The results are as follows. First, differences according to gender and school level were significant only in emotional intelligence. Second, ego-resilience and emotional intelligence mediated the relationship between growth mindset and problem-solving ability respectively. Third, the dual mediation effect of ego-resilience and emotional intelligence was significant in the relationship between growth mindset and problem-solving ability. Based on these results, theoretical and practical discussions and implications for improving problem-solving ability of middle and high school students are presented.
