The purpose of this study is to offer basic data to adolescents' cosmetic culture by investigating and analysing the choices made by female students who have been becoming principle consumers of cosmetics these days. Firstly, social and cultural backgrounds and concepts of N generation, and then characteristics and influencing powers of female students were reviewed. And this study also included questionnaire surveys of 500 female students in middle and high schools located in Seoul. Data were processed using a SPSS$^+$ program and analyzed by using frequency, percentage and the $X^2$-test. The major findings run as follows: Female students have the effects of spreading their words quickly and abilities of making a decision what to buy. And they accept consuming behaviors itself as a part of cultural lives. Therefore, industries have acknowledged them as new principal consumers with a powerful influence in the market. They also play an important role in active consumer as emotional generation who has distinct personalities and prefer fashion trends, changes and innovations. They show conformities with their peer groups and they also want to identify themselves with characters or stars. The cosmetic behaviors of female students relating to demographic characteristics showed a significant relation to grades, majors, school groups and places of residence. Female students have a lot of interest and knowledge about cosmetics. And they use various cosmetic products. This study demonstrated the age for using make-up for the first time has been becoming younger more and more. Recently, female adolescents tend to use face powder, lip gloss, mascara and eye shadow. It is assumed that cosmetic purchases of female students can be considered as an impulsive aspects. However, before purchases, the proportion of students having any particular cosmetic brand in mind previously has been increasing. They take into consideration skin safety, the quality of product and color, when purchasing cosmetic products.

This paper as the basic study aiming the establishment of nursing theory according to Korean culture, is made to reveal the types of recognition about concepts of health immanent in Korean who have the health view, completely mixed with traditional oriental medicine and Confucianism and Buddhism and Shamanism and european scientific medicine, etc. This paper is using the Q-method, which is greatly effective in measuring the individual subjectivity, to collect rightly the concepts of health of objects. This analysis shows us the 4 types of recognition about concepts of health immanent in Korean as follows. Type Ⅰ: modern self-searching type(現代的 自己 追求型), Type Ⅱ: nature-sharing type(自然 共有型), Type Ⅲ: meaning-intentional altruism(意味 指向的 他者 中心型), Type Ⅳ: oriental adaptational type(東洋的 順應型). The men belonging to type Ⅰ have positive and self-searching view of health. They are not only interpreting the concept of health scientifically, but also positively accepting the oriental concept of health. The men belonging to type Ⅱ have strong tendency of down-to-earth. They not only have the naturalistic view of health as Taoist, but also carry the weight in the family and neighbour and regard co-sharing as excellent virtue. The men belonging to type Ⅲ are positive altruists, pursuing the meaning of life and at the same time setting the importance to the good value system. Naturally they care more the family and neighbour than themselves. The men belonging to type Ⅳ have oriental view of the world characterized by nature-adaptation. They positively agree to the Shamanism, Buddhism, Confucianism and Oriental concept of health. In conclusion, in all types we can see that Korean understand the harmony of man and nature as fundamental principle of heath and carry the more importance to the mind(心) than body(身) and at the same time esteem more the family-centric, oriental and organic community than individual. All above facts is immersed in the concepts of health of Korean as a common denominator.
1. Objectives: This paper was written to understand the origin, changes and the constructive principles of Insamjinpi-tang(人蔘陳皮湯) 2. Methods: Insamjinpi-tang and other related prescriptions were analyzed in terms of pathology, based on "Dongyisusebowon Chobongwon(東醫壽世保元 草本卷)", "Dongyisusebowon Gabobon(東醫壽世保元 甲午本)", "Dongyisusebowon Sinchukbon(東醫壽世保元 辛丑本)", "Donguisasangsinpyeon(東醫四象新編)" 3. Results and Conclusions: (1) The origin of Insamjinpi-tang is Doksamyangbung-tang(獨蔘良崩湯), which is combination of Yijung-tang(理中湯), and Insamkeji-tang(人蔘桂枝湯) (2) The origin of Insamjinpi-tang was derived from Doksamyangbung-tang of "Dongyisusebowon Gabobon". Insamjinpitang greatly increases Ginseng Radix Alba(人參) when Insamjinpitang was compared with Yijung-tang, Insamkeji-tang. Insamjinpitang put to use Amomi Fructus(砂仁) newly first. (3) The Insamjinpitang composed of 5 herbs, Ginseng Radix Alba(人參), Zingiberis Rhizoma Crudus(生薑), Citrus unshiu (陳皮), Zizyphus jujuba(大棗) and Amomi Fructus(砂仁); Ginseng Radix Alba(人參) and Zingiberis Rhizoma Crudus (生薑) treat Taeumjeung(太陰證) of Soeumin(少陰人) through warming the Stomach(溫胃), Citrus unshiu(陳皮) makes the Yin(陰) downbearing, Zizyphus jujuba(大棗) making harmony between innerside and outerside of body and Amomi Fructus(砂仁) making stable one's mind.
The aim of this research is to analyze Vionnet´s geometric features, which can be regarded as the key formative beauty among the external characteristics of her works. and to thereby establish the theory that her works emitted a time-transcending life force because they were patterns designed based on a geometrical frame of mind. To prove such argument, studies to understand the basic geometrical aspects appearing in her works will be made by taking a look at the general features of geometry, viewing Vionnet´s philosophy for designing, and examining the geometric cutting methods. The period covered in this paper will center mainly on dresses Vionnet made from her very active days in the fashion sector, 1919. till when she retired from the fashion industry, around 1939. What's outstanding about Vionnet´s geometric principle expressed in her works is the unique cutting method that acknowledges the silhouette of the human body as a cubic or three-dimensions concept, through insight of the human body, the mechanics of the materials, and geometry. Vionnet introduced a simple and elegant design by combining geometric figure cuts, such as rectan히es. quadrants, and triangles. Moreover, she created a new sewing structure that plans everything about the materials to the tiniest detail, resulting in producing a softer style With this, Vionnet showed the geometrical correlation can bring about harmony and the beauty of ideal proportion, forming the source of eternal beauty. Nowadays, a lot of educational TV programs have focused on the program providers' perspective, namely through goods-dominant (G-D) logic. However, the growing development of current technologies such as IPTV with AR and VR has opened opportunities to go beyond a provider-centered perspective and to add the co-creation of value, since value can be created through the interaction between learners and the TV programs themselves. With this in mind, learner-centered TV programs, which are based on service-dominant (S-D) logic, should be offered through educational TV channels. This conceptual paper summarizes, analyzes, and synthesizes the present status of IPTV in education and suggests a new instructional approach for utilizing TV in future education based on value co-creation through learner participation. Three principles (service-dominant logic as an educational service design principle, goal-based scenario for instructional design, IPTV as state-of-the-art technology innovation) are suggested for designing educational IPTV programs.
Daesoon Thought (大巡思想) emerged from indigenous Korean religion during the Joseon Dynasty. Thinkers within this tradition took Kang Jeungsan (姜甑山 secular name Kang Il-Sun 姜一淳 1871~1909) as their Highest God (上帝) and The Canonical Scripture (典經) as their main scripture. The Tenets, Four Cardinal Mottoes, Three Essential Attitudes, and Aims of Daesoon Thought are related to the concepts, categorical thought, and structure found in Confucianism. In particular, terms such as The Virtuous Concordance of Yin and Yang (陰陽合德), gods and humans* (神人 *also 'divine humans' in some contexts), Dao Governance (道統), Quieting the Mind and Quieting the Body (安心安身), and Sincerity, Respectfulness, and Faithfulness (誠敬信) are all widely used in Confucianism. This paper will examine Daesoon Thought from the perspective of the Confucian Thinker, Yulgok (栗谷), and more specifically, his Theory of Reason and Energy (理氣論) and its key concepts: The Wondrousness of Reason and Energy (理氣之妙), Triggered Energy Transports Reason (氣發理乘), and Reason Pervades and Energy Delimits (理通氣局). It will be shown that Daesoon Thought shares essentially the same thinking and reasoning, and as such, the two systems are organically connected. Furthermore, both schools of thought pursue harmonious adjustment and emphasize practice. Although this study may contain suggestions which seem far-fetched when compared to previous studies, it investigates Daesoon Thought from the perspective of Neo-Confucian discourse on Nature and Principle (性理), which had great value in the mainstream culture of Korea's Joseon Dynasty. Given that Daesoon Thought and Neo-Confucianism both are forms of traditional thought, there is bound to be some connection between them.
This paper aims to examine how proprioception provides a sense of ownership over one's body and physical actions. Proprioception is a sense that relies on somatic interoceptors rather than exteroceptors that receive external stimuli and has epistemic importance of knowing the presence, location, and movement of bodily parts. In this paper, I will argue that Shoemaker's principle, "Immunity to Error through Misidentification (IEM)" can be applied to proprioception by focusing on one of the intrinsic features of proprioception: First-Person Perspective. I will advocate the following two arguments by defeating each of Marcel's pathological counter-examples in turn. Proprioception is infallible in that it provides a sense of ownership over one's body and physical actions. Second, proprioception is indispensable for the sense of ownership of one's body and physical actions.
This paper attempts to explore the theory of moral leadership in the Great Learning. There are two fundamental contents in the elements of moral leadership's human nature in the Great learning. These are meaning of general principle(綱領指趣) - studying, self cultivation and social authority from rectifying name, and category of concrete learning(學問綱目) - the scheme of manifesting original nature (明德之方) and the scheme of loving the people(親民之方). In this, there are two principles. One is the principle of stage. In the theory of moral leadership of the Great learning, there are stages from self-cultivation to making the world tranquil. The other is the principle of stop at the highest good in manifesting nature and loving the people. In the meaning of general principle, moral leader must have good nature that he or she preforms his or her original nature and accomplishes self-cultivation. For this he or she must learn and study, and endeavors self-polishing. In the category of concrete learning, at first, in the scheme of manifesting original nature, there are investigation things-extending knowledge and making the will sincere-rectifying the mind as the pre conditions of the self-cultivation, and moral leader must carry out harmonization peoples and accomplishing public morals as the result of self-cultivation. The harmonization people means that everyone has equal position and lives with each other in harmony In the scheme of loving the people, there are the connected ethics of self cultivation-regulating the family(修身齊家) and the connected ethics of regulating the family-ordering the state(齊家治國) by effect of self-cultivation.
This research is an attempt to detail the multi-layered ethical characteristics of 'mutual beneficence', shown in the principle of 'guarding against self-deception' in Daesoon Thought while focusing on its major differences as well as the similarities with Kantian and Utilitarian ethical views. In these Western ethical perspectives, the concept of self-deception has received a considerable amount of attention, centering on the context of natural rights and contract theory. Meanwhile, in Daesoon Thought, 'guarding against self-deception' is presented as one of the principal objectives as well as the method or deontological ground for practice. It further encompasses the features of virtue ethics oriented toward the perfection of Dao. Here, the deontological aspect is interlinked with the concept of cultivation and the pursuit of ethics and morals. Hence this makes it a necessary condition for achieving the perfection of Dao, and likewise renders the practice of 'guarding against self-deception' more active through facilitating mutual relations based on the expansion model wherein human nature is characterized as possessing innate goodness. With regard to the tenet of 'resolution of grievances for mutual beneficence,' this concept is presented as a positive ground for practicing virtues toward others without forming grudges. Furthermore, as long as it reveals the great principle of humanity built on conscience, it will come to harmonize practitioners with others and spirits in an expression of beneficence. Moreover, originating in the Dao of Deities, guarding against self-deception is expressed as a form of life ethics and can be suggested as a new alternative for the model of virtue ethics proposed by Nussbaum. All in all, there is a natural causal relationship by which 'guarding against self-deception' in accord one's own conscience and the principle of humanity as a pursuit of perfect virtues in Dao result in the fulfillment of mutual beneficence. This readily akin to how gravity causes water to flow from high ground to low ground. Consequently, these relational features of mutual beneficence can serve an effective alternative to the Western ethical views which also address the need to overcome the egoistic mind which is liable to self-interest and alienation.
The xin(心) has various meanings in ${\ll}$Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)${\gg}$ but they sometimes contradict each other. This thesis divided the xin into the meaning and the Zang-xiang(藏象), and then analyzed the xin's notion in detail. The concept of the xin in ${\ll}$Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)${\gg}$ is sorted out into : the notion of space, yin-yang five elements(陰陽五行) and shen(神) The xin is the upper part of body and it possesses the character of yang(陽). So the concept of the breast has originated from this character and it rightly belonged to the top. The xin is assigned to fire among five elements, 'chang(長)', which has the energy of moving forward, noon at a day when yang-qi(陽氣) is properous and shows 'gu(鉤)' & 'keo(矩)' in pulse condition. The xin possesses the character, 'Taiyang of the yang(陽中之太陽)' along with the notion of space combined with five elements. That is, the notion of upper space means 'of the yang(陽中)', and, fire in five elements means 'yang'. This is similar to '=(Taiyang)' of Sasang(四象) at ${\ll}$the Book of Changes(周易)${\gg}$ Since the xin puts shen(神) in order, actions of spirit have effect on the xin. And it depends whether the sense of vitality is broad or narrow. The xin related with broad sense of spirit is 'monarch of the organs(君主之官)'. Therefore it has control over the human body. As it also directly effects the life or death, Pericardium(心句) substitutes the xin and protects the external invasion. In Shi-er-won(十二原) and Bonsu(本輸), instead of the Xin Channel the Pericardium Channel was used in healing patients. The xin can be interpretable as the mind, because the xin includes spirit. The mind can be distinguished into 'desire' and 'state of profound reason'. In ${\ll}$Huangdineijing(黃帝內徑)${\gg}$, the disease of the xin caused by emotion was mentioned many times. This emotion is 'desire' which resorted to the sentiment. The reason one mind has both character is; man preserves given principle (reason) and emotion reveals via the reason exercised. The above is about the xin related with the broad sense of vitality. Concerning the narrow sense of vitality, one of the five vitalities is stored with the others away in the five solid organs. Then it takes part in the operation of five body constituents and it is linked with the personified description of five solid organs. The xin, spleen, stomach and kidney are 'the ground of life'. Spleen and stomach are the origin of making qi and blood, which 'means the ground after birth'. Kidney keeps the essence of life, and manages the growing and generative function of human body. The xin keeps 'Shin-myung(神明)', in other words, it has control over and supervise whole activity of body. Therefore xin's role is needed for the appropriate working of spleen, stomach and kidney. And 'Shin-myung' is its motive power. In ${\ll}$Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)${\gg}$, the reason why xin was assigned to September and October is that yang-qi of the human body goes to the inner part, with xin at the same time. This explains that yang-qi of the human body is adapted to change of season and goes into xin-fire(心火) in order to get away from the cold. In this case, heart means more inner part than liver, spleen and lung. Mengzi(孟子), philosopher of the China's turbulent ages emphasized the thinking function of xin. Sunzi(荀子) asserted that xin is 'heaven monarch(天君)' and the other organs are 'heaven rninisters(天官)'. This conception is similar to 'monarch of the organs' of ${\ll}$Huangdineijing(黃帝內經)${\gg}$. After the Ming Dynasty, commentators of Huangdineijing(黃帝內經) explained the heart, as 'monarch of the organs', or 'the master of body(一身之主)'. This was due to the influence of Sung Confucianism.
