This study investigated the growth behavior and characteristics of compounds formed at the interface between a liquid Al-Si-Cu alloy and solid cast iron. Through microstructural analyses, it was observed that various AlFe and AlFeSi phases are formed at the interface, and the relative proportion of each phase changes when small amounts of strontium are added to the Al alloy. The results of the microstructural analysis indicate that the primary phases of the interfacial compounds in the Al-Si-Cu base alloy are Al₈Fe₂Si and Al_4.5FeSi. However, in the Sr-added alloys, significant amounts of binary AlFe intermetallic compounds such as Al₅Fe₂ and Al₁₃Fe₄ formed, in addition to the AlFeSi phases. The inclusion of Sr has a slight diminishing effect on the rate at which the interfacial compounds layer thickens during the time the liquid Al alloy is in contact with the cast iron. The study also discusses the nano-indentation hardness and micro-hardness of the interfacial phases.

The catalytic enantioselective Michael reaction promoted by quaternary ammonium salts from Cinchona alkaloids as a phase-transfer catalyst is described. Treatment of malonates with $\alpha$,$\beta$-unsaturated ketones under mild reaction conditions afforded the corresponding Michael adducts in good yields with good to moderate enantiomeric excesses.

Objectives : "The purpose of this study is to report the effectiveness of Soshiho-tang(小柴胡湯)" on the patient suffered from nausea, retching, vomiting and postprandial fullness. Methods : We diagnosed the symptoms and the signs of the patient as Soshiho-tang syndrome(小柴胡湯證) according to "Treatise on Cold Damage Disease(傷寒論)". We prescribed Soshiho-tang with acupuncture and moxibustion for about 2 weeks. Results : The subjective assessments of the nausea and postprandial fullness had improved. And the frequencies of the retching and vomiting had decreased. Conclusions : We suggest that Soshiho-tang has effectiveness on nausea, retching, vomiting and postprandial fullness in patient diagnosed as Soshiho-tang symptom.

DC arc plasmatron is powerful plasma source to apply etching and texturing processing. Even though DC arc plasmatron has many advantages, it is difficult to apply an industry due to the small applied area. To increase an effective processing area, we suggest a DC-RF hybrid plasma system. The DC-RF hybrid plasma system was designed and made. This system consists of a DC arc plasmatron, RF parts, reaction chamber, power feeder, gas control system and vacuum system. To investigate a DC-RF hybrid plasma, we used a Langmuir probe, OES (Optical emission spectroscopy), infrared (IR) light camera. For RF matching, PSIM software was used to simulate a current of an impedance coil. The results of Langmuir probe measurements, we obtain a homogeneous plasma density and electron temperature those are about $1{\times}1010$ #/cm3 and 1~4 eV. The DC-RF hybrid plasma source is applied for plasma etching experimental, and we obtain an etching rate of 10 ${\mu}m$/min. through a 90 mm of reaction chamber diameter.

Bisphenol A (BPA) mimics estrogen and its activity is one third to one quarter that of estradiol. BPA, an ubiquitous environmental contaminent has been shown to cause development reproductive toxicity and carcinogenic effect. BPA may do physiological action through ER${\alpha}$ and ER${\beta}$ which are expressed in central nerve system.(omitted)

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical effect of indirect moxibustion treatment for patients with neck pain caused by whiplash injury. Methods : From October 2010 to October 2011, 85 patients with neck pain caused by whiplash injury who admitted to Semyung oriental medical hospital were divided into two groups. Group A was treated by general acupuncture, group B by indirect moxibustion and general acupuncture. The efficacy of treatment was measured by visual analog scale(VAS) scores and neck disability index(NDI) scores of before and after 5 days to start treatment. Results : 1. Both group A and B represented effective improvement in VAS and NDI of neck pain caused by whiplash injury. 2. Group B has more statistical effect than group A. Conclusions : Through this research, indirect moxibustion treatment is considered to be effective reducing pain for patients with neck pain caused by whiplash injury.

Objectives : This study was to investigate the correlation of subjective stress caused by traffic accident with patient's prognosis. Methods : We investigated 53 cases of in-patient with traffic accident. The patients answered that questionnaire about subjective pain and stress on hospitalization day and leaving hospital day. And we calculated statistically signification with this data. Results 1. IES-R-K score of female group was significantly higher than male group's. 2. There was statistically significant correlation between IES-R-K score and admission duration. 3. After hospitalization treatment, there was statistically significant reduction of VAS and IES-R-K score. Conclusions : There was significant correlation between subjective stress and prognosis.

Objectives : The purpose of this research was to compare remote and near acupuncture point needling with near acupuncture point needling acupuncture on posterior neck pain treatment. Methods : We divided 36 patients with posterior neck pain patient into two groups and treated Group A with near acupuncture and remote acupuncture point needling and Group B with near acupuncture point needling. The efficacy of treatment was measured by VAS scores and NDI scores of before and after 5 days to start treatment. Results : Both group A and B represented effective improvement in VAS and NDI of neck pain. And group A is more effective than B group statistically. Conclusions : It was suggested that near acupuncture and remote acupuncture point needling might have more effect compared with near acupuncture point needling acupuncture on posterior neck pain treatment.

To test applicability for continuous flow treatment of ultrasound technology, sonolysis of TCE aqueous solution using 584 kHz multi irradiation reactor was performed under batch and continuous flow conditions. Under batch condition (3 and 4 sides irradiation, 600 W), first order degradation rate constant of TCE was higher under 4 sides than 3 sides irradiation conditions, while the generation of $H_2O_2$ and chloride was similar under both irradiation conditions. Under continuous flow condition with 4 sides irradiation, removal efficiencies of TCE in steady-state were decreased from 83 to 48% with increasing flow rate from 67 to 300 mL/min at 600 W, and were increased from 14 to 75% with increasing acoustic power from 100 to 600 W at 100 mL/min. Removal efficiency of TCE in groundwater was decreased 10% compared to in distilled water at 100 mL/min and 600 W.
