The army is concerned about the decrease in enlistment resources due to the low birth rate and the weakening of military combat power due to the shortening of the military service period. Now, the military's quantitative growth is no longer limited and it is a time for qualitative growth. To this end, the Army has been applying the Israeli learning method Havruta to recruit training to improve the quality of training since 2019. After applying Havruta, several scholars have studied the effect of recruit training applying Havruta. As a result, it was verified that recruit training applying Havruta improves the inner motive, creativity, and military service value of trainees. This study investigated how trainees' inner motive, creativity, and military service value affect their satisfaction and achievement. In addition, it was studied whether the effect of recruit training applied with Havruta on achievement differs according to the educational background (high school graduate or higher) and military family (professional soldiers within 4th degree) of the trainees. To this end, a survey was conducted on 472 recruits, and the structural relationship between each variable and the moderating effect were analyzed using the structural equation model. As a result of the study, military service value did not affect training satisfaction. Also, there was a difference in the effect of creativity on training satisfaction according to the educational background of new recruits, and there was a difference in the effect of military service value on training satisfaction and training achievement according to military family members. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the improvement of the army's recruit training development plan and effective training system.

The LVC(Live, Virtual, Constructive) system of CTC(Combat Training Center) is at the very cutting edge of modeling and simulation technology, which has become widely accepted an enabler for a new military training transformation. In this paper, the architecture of LVC system is proposed for the Korean brigade-level CTC, and high level operational architecture, system architecture, and technical standard architecture are suggested.

The army is carrying out a project of a scientific training system which enables company level mutual training in infantry division to enhance battle command capability and combat skill. In this paper, we tried to prove the necessities of a scientific training system based on previously conducted training results. We drew comparison among proposed alternatives. To obtain the results we used hierarchical analysis methodology And cost and training effectiveness analysis were conducted.

Modern warfare has developed into a network based simultaneous and integrated warfare where operations elements are interconnected. Following such change in modern warfare, ROK Army has been making an effort to transform personnel-based military structure into technology-based advanced structure. Considering technological innovations and changes in characteristics of officers and men, ROK Army is developing scientific education and training system to provide demand-focused customized education. To support such transformation in education and training, ROK Army is constantly developing Army training system using advanced M&S technology. This paper describes ROK Army's education and training policy, and elaborates the current status of M&S training system using advanced M&S technology. This paper further discusses the future directions of M&S training system.

There has not been any scientific analysis on appropriate size of workforce and salary for civilian workers in military so far. Thus, this paper conducted analysis on propriety in employment size of military doctrine researchers using system dynamic methodology based on annual military doctrine workload. Vensim software was mainly used to measure complement of the research group based on data from job analysis. Secondly, a multiple regression analysis was performed to study an appropriate wage for researchers based on their expertise and working condition. The data from twenty public research institutions and twenty eight job positions that are performing similar duty with military doctrine researchers was obtained and utilized to create a salary-estimation regression equation in the analysis. Finally, with cost-benefit analysis method this paper studied financial effectiveness of hiring military doctrine researchers. Contingent valuation method, which has been recognized as one of the most effective methodologies in cost-benefit analysis on intangible value, was utilized to measure benefit of hiring the researchers. The methodology presented in this paper can be applied to measure and improve the efficiency of military organization not only in military doctrine research area but also in several military functional area (military training, logistics, administration, combat development, and combat support).

국방에서 교육훈련의 목표는 적과 싸워 이길 수 있는 강한 전투원을 육성하는데 있다. 우리 군은 장병 교육훈련의 중요성을 깊이 인식하고 다양한 과학화훈련체계들을 도입해 오고 있다. 하지만 이러한 노력에도 불구하고 장병 교육훈련 수준을 유지하고 강화하기 위한 병영 환경은 점차 어려워지는 것이 현실이다. 본 연구에서는 문헌조사 연구를 통해 장병 교육훈련 개선을 위한 게임의 효과분석을 실시하고 그 활용방안에 대한 연구를 실시하였다. 문헌분석 결과 게임체계의 도입은 인지영역과 행동영역 전반에서 다양한 효과를 기대할 수 있었다. 이러한 효과분석을 토대로 용도별 게임체계 운용개념과 형상을 도출하였으며, 게임체계를 활용한 개선된 교육훈련 방안을 제안하였다.

This paper is to introduce the foreign civil military enterprise system and to suggest a plan to improve the employment rate of the discharged soldiers who served for a long term and the welfare of soldiers highly. At first, Military Professional Resources Inc., Dyncorp Inc. and Cubic Inc. of the United States, Sandline International Inc. of England and ATCO Frontec Inc. and Ednoonton Inc. of Canada are introduced in this paper. And also, this paper is to analyze employment conditions and difficulties of the discharged soldiers and suggest to establish a institute of tentatively named 'Korean Civil Military Enterprise' in terms of the Government and the Department of Defense. This civil military enterprise is to plan and manage military projects, to research and develop drill manuals and military doctrines and policies and to evaluate and manage the military training. As a pattern of civil military enterprises, three types of Military Support, Military Consulting and Military Provider are presented. Moreover, in order to advance the civil military enterprise, diverse training programs(for public civil investigators, guard advisors, special security guards and security staffs) to utilize all sorts of special military fields are developed.

The Republic of Korea (ROK) Army is developing the Army Synthetic Battlefield Training System and plans divisional-level Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) integrated training. This study proposes a plan to apply VR/AR/MR (Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality/Mixed Reality) technology to LVC integrated training systems to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of future LVC integrated training. The study investigated immersive military training systems in the ROK and advanced countries. As a result, we confirm that immersive technology can significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of military training. Accordingly, we review the key technologies required for building a defense training system with immersive features and propose training subjects that can be enhanced in effectiveness and efficiency when built with an immersive approach. We also propose a plan to apply immersive technology to the Live, Virtual, and Constructive systems for the development of future LVC integrated training system.

The Constructive Battle Simulation Model is very important to the recent military training for the substitution of the field training. However, real battlefield systems operate under real-time conditions, they are inherently distributed, concurrent and dynamic. In order to reflect these properties by the computer-based simulation systems which represent real world processes, we have been developing constructive simulation model for several years. Conventionally, scheduling and resource allocation activities which have timing constraints, we elaborated on these issues and developed the simulation system on commercially available hardware and operating system with lock-free resource allocation scheme and rate monotonic scheduling.

Every year, about 250,000 new recruits enter the military under the R.O.K military draft system. When the fresh soldier groups arrived at the Recruit Training Center, their supplies are distributed before they get basic military training. The supplies are divided by season, summer and winter. There are 14 class of summer items and 20 class of winter items, and the each class has about a few kinds of items. Totally, there are the hundreds kinds of supplies and the supplies distribution system is manually operated. However, in the current system, many problems such as spending a lot of time, manpower and high change rate due to the inaccurate distribution have been raised. This paper suggests the automated supplies distribution system to solve the above problems. We choose the appropriate facilities in the system by using the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) and analyse the operating efficiency of the new system by simulation. The new suggested system shows about $39.25\%$ improvement in throughput and 3.75 times reduction of manpower compared to the current system.
