Microcrystalline cellulose에 자유 라디칼을 이용한 methyl methacrylate의 그래프팅 반응과 이를 이용한 천연복합필름의 제조 (Grafting of MMA onto MCC through free radical method and its application to all natural cellulose composite film preparation)

  • Methyl methacrylate(MMA) was grafted onto microcrystalline cellulose(MCC) with ceric ammonium nitrate(CAN) as a redox initiator at the various conditions. The cellulose triacetate(CTA) composite films added MCC and MMA-grafted MCC powders were prepared on a glass plate. The graft yield(GY) and graft efficiency(GE) of the grafted MCC were calculated with the simple equations by the weight balance method. The double bond of C=O on the grafted MCC surfaces was confirmed by the fourier transform infrared spectroscopy with attenuated total reflection(FT-IT ATR) spectrophotometer. After grafting, the degree of crystallinity of cellulose powders was decresed by judging from x-ray diffraction(XRD) data. Scanning electron microscope(SEM) photos showed the only solvent and CAN solution could change the roughness of MCC powders and the effect of powder dispersions in composite matrix. The tensile strength of MCC/CTA composite films was decreased with increase of MCC powder contents. When 5% grafted MCC was added, the tensile strength of grafted MCC/CTA composite films was increased from 82.3 MPa to 97.2 MPa. The thermal property of powders was also analyzed by the thermogravimetric analysis(TGA).

태양전지용 미세결정 실리콘 박막의 저온 증착 (Low Temperature Deposition of Microcrystalline Silicon Thin Films for Solar Cells)

  • This paper presents deposition and characterizations of microcrystalline silicon(${\mu}c$-Si:H) films prepared by hot wire chemical vapor deposition at substrate temperature below $300^{\circ}C$. The $SiH_4$ Concentration$[F(SiH_4)/F(SiH_4)+F(H_2)]$ is critical parameter for the formation of Si films with microcrystalline phase. At 6% of silane concentration, deposited intrinsic ${\mu}c$-Si:H films shows sufficiently low dark conductivity and high photo sensitivity for solar cell applications. P-type ${\mu}c$-S:H films deposited by Hot-Wire CVD also shows good electrical properties by varying the rate of $B_2H_6$ to $SiH_4$ gas. The solar cells with structure of Al/nip ${\mu}c$-Si:H/TCO/glass was fabricated with sing1e chamber Hot-Wire CVD. About 3% solar efficiency was obtained and applicability of HWCVD for thin film solar cells was proven in this research.

열대활엽수 니아토 제재 부산물을 활용한 미세결정 셀룰로오스의 제조 (Preparation of Microcrystalline Cellulose by using Sawdust of Tropical Hardwood Nyatoh)

  • The saw dust of tropical hardwood, Nyatoh(Palaquium Spp.), was used as a raw material for the preparation of the high valued microcrystalline cellulose(MCC). Three pulping methods, soda pulping, Kraft pulping, and acid-sulfite pulping were applied to obtain cellulose from the saw dust. The residual impurities were removed with the additional bleaching processes: (A) $ClO_2{\rightarrow}H_2O_2$; (B) $ClO_2{\rightarrow}O_3$; (C) $O_3$. For the acid treatment for MCC preparation, the $H_2SO_4$, with three concentration, 20%, 40%, 60% were applied and the effects of $H_2SO_4$ concentration on the properties of MCC were evaluated. The results indicated that the MCC obtained by acid-sulfite pulping followed with $O_3$ treatment and 40% $H_2SO_4$ treatment showed less residual lignin, higher brightness and crystallinity than that of Avicel MCC.

지각과민증에 대한 미세결정형 수산화인회석 함유 치약의 임상적 효과 (The effects of microcrystalline hydroxyapatite containing toothpaste in the control of tooth hypersensitivity)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of toothpaste containing hydroxyapatite for patients who complained dental hypersensitivity. Before baseline of application of toothpaste with hydroxyapatite, tooth brushing instruction was done respectively and the several indices were measured at baseline, 2, 4, 8 weeks. Clinical indices were estimated, and responses to cold, compressive air, tactile stimulus were evaluated with verbal rating score. Relief effects and visual analogue scale were also evaluated. The results of this study were as follows 1. The occurrence rate of hypersensitivity in upper jaw was higher than that of lower jaws, and molar area showed more hypersensitivity than premolar and incisor area. Buccal site was hypersensitive followed by interproximal and lingual site. 2. Plaque index, gingival index and probing depth reduction were gradually improved after Tooth Brushing Instruction and using toothpaste. 3. Subjects showed most sensitive response to cold stimuli than compressive air and tactile stimuli. 4. The relief effect was increased during using tooth paste and complete relief was increased especially at 8 weeks. 5. Visual analogue scale was increased. In conclusion, it was confirmed that toothpaste containing microcrystalline hydroxyapatite have the relief effect of tooth hypersensitivity. During 8 weeks, stimulus responses were decreased and hypersensitivity relief effect was increased.

산 가수분해를 이용하여 microcrystalline cellulose로부터 추출 된 cellulose nano-whisker의 특성분석 (Preparation and Characterization of Cellulose Nano-Whiskers Extracted from Microcrystalline Cellulose by Acid Hydrolysis)

  • 본 연구에서는 친환경적인 특징을 가지면서도 우수한 기계적 특성을 가지고 있어 고분자 복합재료의 보강제로 주목 받고 있는 Cellulose nanowhisker (CNW) 를 염산 혹은 황산을 사용한 산가수분해 방법을 이용하여 Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) 로 부터 추출하였다. 염산 혹은 황산을 사용하여 추출된 CNW는 직경이 20 에서 30nm 정도였고, 길이가 200 에서 300 nm 로써, 형상학적 측면에서 유사한 특성을 가지는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 전해질 용액의 전기전도도를 이용한 적정 (conductometric titration) 결과 황산을 이용하여 제조되어진 CNW의 경우, 셀룰로오스 표면의 sulfate group 에 의해 나타나는 표면전하 값이 각각 140, 197.78 mmol/kg으로 나타났으며, 염산을 이용하여 제조되어진 CNW 의 경우 셀룰로오스 표면에 약한 전하 값을 가져 표면전하 값을 구할 수 없었다. 황산을 이용하여 추출된 CNW의 열중량 분석 결과 염산을 이용하여 추출된 CNW와 비교하여 열분해 온도가 급격히 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, Broido's method를 이용하여 정의 되어진 열분해 거동에 대한 활성화 에너지 역시 상대적으로 낮음을 확인할 수 있었다.

실리콘 박막 광 흡수층 결정분율변화에 따른 미세 결정질 태양전지 특성분석 (Effect of crystallinity of intrinsic hydrogenated silicon layers on cell performance of microcrystalline silicon thin film solar cells)

  • 유리기판을 이용하여 제조되는 미세 결정질 실리콘 박막 태양전지에서 진성 반도체층(i ${\mu}c$-Si:H layer, i층)은 태양전지의 광 흡수층으로 사용되기 때문에 그 특성은 매우 중요하다. 특히, i층의 결정분율 변화는 태양광의 흡수파장 및 효율을 결정하여 준다. 본 연구에서는 i층 증착시 $SiH_4$ 가스의 농도 변화 및 $SiH_4$ 가스 profiling을 통하여 i층의 결정분율을 변화하였으며, 이에 따른 i층 단위박막과 미세결정질 태양전지 특성변화를 분석 하였다. i층의 $SiH_4$ 가스 농도가 증가함에 따라 i층 단위박막의 결정분율은 증가하였으며, 전기 전도도는 감소하였다. 또한, i층의 $SiH_4$ 가스 농도를 점차 증가하며 profiling 하여 증착한 박막은 동일 가스 농도로 증착한 박막보다 전기 전도도가 감소하였고, 증착속도는 증가하였다. 이와 같은 다양한 i층들은 'Raman spectroscopy'를 통하여 결정분율 변화를 측정하였다. 또한, 이 박막들을 광 흡수층으로 사용하는 미세결정질 태양전지를 제조하고, 태양전지의 효율, 양자효율, 암전류 특성들을 단위박막 특성과 연계하여 분석하였다.

  • Microcrystalline silicon at low temperatures has been developed using plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD). It has been found that energetically positive ion and atomic hydrogen collision on to growing surface have important effects on increasing growth rate, and atomic hydrogen density is necessary for the increasing growth rate correspondingly, while keeping ion bombardment is less level. Since the plasma potential is determined by working pressure, the ion energy can be reduced by increasing the deposition pressure of 700-1200 Pa. Also, correlation of the growth rate and crystallinity with deposition parameters such as working pressure, hydrogen flow rate and input power were investigated. Consequently an efficiency of 7.9% was obtained at a high growth rate of 0.92 nm/s at a high RF power 300W using a plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition method (27.12MHz).

Light trapping 개선을 통한 n-i-p 플렉서블 미세결정질 실리콘 박막 태양전지의 효율 향상 (Enhancement of n-i-p flexible microcrystalline silicon thin film solar cell efficiency through improved light trapping)

  • Stainless Steel의 유연한 기판을 사용하여 ZnO:Al/Ag의 후면전극에서 Ag 증착 실험조건 변화를 통해서 light trapping을 개선한 n-i-p 구조의 플렉서블 미세결정질 실리콘 박막 태양전지를 제작하였다. 실험 방법으로 마그네트론 스퍼터를 사용하여 Stainless Steel 기판 위에 ZnO:Al/Ag를 증착하여 후면전극으로 사용되는 back reflector를 제작하였으며 그 위에 미세결정질 실리콘 박막을 증착하였다. Back reflector에서 Ag 박막의 증착 온도가 증가할수록 표면결정 성장으로 roughness가 증가하여 반사도를 증가하였다. 또한, Ag 박막 증착 두께와 압력 변화에 따른 광학적 특성변화를 Atomic Force Microscope(AFM), Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM),UV-visible-nIR spectrometry로 조사하여 최적의 조건을 찾았으며 개선된 back reflector의 특성이 n-i-p 구조의 플렉서블 미세결정질 실리콘 박막 태양전지에 적용하여 light trapping의 증가가 태양전지에서 광학적인 특성 변화 및 효율 향상에 영향을 주는지 Photo IV와 EQE(External Quantum Efficiency)를 통하여 조사하였다.
