풍력터빈용 고속단 헬리컬 기어의 치형 최적화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Optimization of Tooth Micro-geometry for Wind Turbine High Speed Stage Helical Gear Pair)

  • The wind industry grew in the first decade of the 21st century at rates consistently above 20% a year. For wind turbine, gearbox failure can be extremely costly in terms of repair costs, replacement parts, and in lost power production due to downtime. In this paper, gear tooth micro-modification for the high speed stage was used to compensate for the deformation of the teeth due to load and to ensure a proper meshing to achieve an optimized tooth contact pattern. The gearbox was firstly modeled in a software, and then the various combined tooth modification were presented, and the prediction of transmission under the loaded torque for the helical gear pair was investigated, the normal load distribution and root stress were also obtained and compared before and after tooth modification under one torque. The simulation results showed that the transmission error and normal load distribution under the load can be minimized by the appropriate tooth modification. It is a good approach where the simulated result is used to improve the design before the prototype is available for the test.

대형병원에서 마이크로터빈 이용한 열병합시스템 에너지성능 및 경제성 분석 (The Energy Performance & Economy Efficiency Evaluation of Microturbine Installed in Hospital buildings)

  • 대형병원의 에너지 소비패턴을 분석한 후 마이크로가스터빈을 적용할 경우 기존 시스템 대비 냉난방에너지 절감량 및 전기에너지 절감량과 경제성분석을 통해 대형병원의 에너지 소비량을 절감하기 위한 에너지성능평가 모의연구를 수행하였다. 0.5[MW]급 마이크로 가스터빈을 설치한 후 에너지 성능분석을 한 결과 터빈에서의 발전효율은 30[%]이며, 전기는 건물에서 사용되는 조명에너지 뿐만 아니라 전체 전기에너지의 40[%]을 절감할 수 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 터빈에서 발전되는 전기량과 배열을 냉난방에너지원으로 이용할 경우 전체 시스템효율은 70[%]로 상승할 뿐만 아니라 난방에너지의 56[%], 냉방에너지의 67[%]를 절감할 수 있는 것으로 분석되었으며 현가등가법에 의한 시스템 투자회수 기간이 약 9년으로 분석되었다.

마이크로 가스터빈 발전시스템 운전신뢰성평가 (Evaluation of Operation Reliability for Micro Gas Turbine(MGT) Power Generation System)

  • As Decentralized Generation(DG) becomes more reliable and economically feasible, it is expected that a higher application of DG units would be interconnected to the existing grids. This new market penetration of DG technologies is linked to a large number of factors like technologies costs and performances, interconnection issues, safety, market regulations, environmental issues or grid connection constrains. This paper describes the procedures and results for the mechanical, electrical, and environmental tests of MGT on actual grid-connection under Korean regulations. As one of the achievements, the simulation model of MGT was developed, so that it will be able to analyze or propose new distributed generation system using MGT. The field test was conducted in order to respond to a wide variety of needs for noise reduction and utilization and its performance was evaluated in consideration of its operational problems. The MGT is successfully supplying electricity to Korean grids with satisfying various regulations. The suggested strategy and experience for the evaluation of the distributed generation will be used for the introduction of other distributed generation technologies into the grid in the future.

  • 본 시험장치는 가스터빈엔진의 이론적 열역학 계산을 실제 성능시험을 통해 비교해보고 관련 교육기관, 연구소 등에 가스터빈 엔진의 작동 원리와 구조에 대한 기초지식을 제공하도록 개발되었다. 추력 30lbf급 마이크로 터보제트 엔진을 대상으로 하여 NI DAQ(데이터 수집)장치와 LabVIEW 프로그램을 이용하여 실시간 계측되는 데이터와 기준 엔진 성능 시뮬레이션 데이터를 비교 할 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하였다.

하이브리드/이중 선회제트 연소기에서 부분예혼합-예혼합 선회화염의 상호작용 (Interaction Between Partially Premixed and Premixed Swirl Flames in a Hybrid/Dual Swirl Jet Combustor)

  • The effects of interaction between partially premixed and premixed swirl flames on CO and NOx emissions were experimentally investigated using a hybrid/dual swirl jet combustor for a micro-gas turbine. Under the condition of constant angle ($45^{\circ}$) for outer swirl vane, the angle and direction of inner swirl vane installed for a partially premixed flame were varied as main parameters with a constant fuel flow rate for each nozzle. It was found that for all conditions, CO and NOx emissions were measured below 4 ppm and 15 ppm at 15% $O_2$, respectively, in a wide range of equivalence ratio (0.6~0.9). For co-swirl flows, CO emission increased dramatically as the angle of inner swirl vane increased from $15^{\circ}$ to $45^{\circ}$ near lean-flammability limit (i.e. equivalence ratio of 0.5). On the other hand, the case of swirl $angle=45^{\circ}$ provided the lowest NOx emission at higher equivalence ratios than 0.6. For counter-swirl flows, the case of swirl $angle=45^{\circ}$ extended the lean-flammability limit but higher NOx emissions were found compared to those of co-swirl flows. These results could be inferred by interaction between (inner) partially premixed and (outer) premixed swirl flames. However, these estimations were not clear yet because there was insufficient data on turbulent flow structure and fuel-air mixing in the present experimental approach.

  • 본 시험장치는 가스터빈 관련 교육기관, 연구소 등에 가스터빈 엔진의 작동 원리와 구조에 대한 기초지식을 제공하고 가스터빈 엔진의 이론적 열역학 계산을 실제 성능시험을 통하여 비교해 볼 수 있도록 개발되었다. 추력 30lbf급 마이크로 터보제트 엔진을 대상으로 하여 NI DAQ(데이터 수집)장치와 LabVIEW 프로그램으로 각 구성품의 온도, 압력과 추력, 연료유량, 공기유량 등의 실시간 데이터를 모니터링 및 획득할 수 있도록 시험장치를 구성하였다.

  • In this paper, The basic design and the steady-state performances of a high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor/generator (PMSMG) for gas-turbine are presented. For deveoping a high-speed machine, it must be taken account into the mechanical view as well as the electrical because of high centrifugal force of a rotor. Based on considering those, this paper deals with the characteristics of generating mode and motoring mode from a electrical point of view.

Various Heat Exchangers Utilized in Gas-Turbines for Performance Enhancement

  • Modern world takes advantages of gas-turbines for various purposes. Most of gas-turbines incorporate various heat exchangers in order to achieve specific functions and enhance thermal efficiency as well. This paper reviews heat exchangers that had been used, currently being used, and under development for the future application in various kinds of gas turbines. The heat exchanger matrix configurations and manufacturing methods depend on where they are applied. This review work shows that the recent advancement in heat exchanger technologies makes it possible to develop intercoolers and recuperators for large gas turbines as well as micro gas turbines.
