Thermal Reflow 공정 적용 Micro Pattern 형상 변화를 통한 광 향상 구조층 연구 (Study on Optical Control Layer for Micro Pattern Shape Change Using Thermal Reflow Process)

  • In this study, the change of optical characteristics was studied according to the micro optical pattern provided by photo lithography followed by thermal reflow process. The shape and luminance variation with micro pattern was evaluated by SEM and spectrometers. Also, we analyzed the luminance characteristics using the 3D-optical simulation (Optis works) program. As a result, we found that the radius of curvature(R) in micro pattern is decreased up to 77%($150^{\circ}C$) compared to the radius of curvature at the condition $100^{\circ}C$, which is caused by efficient reflow of organic material without chemical changes. The highest enhancement of brightness with optimum micro pattern was obtained at the condition of $120^{\circ}C$ reflow process. The brightness gain with optical micro patterns is more than 15% at the condition of R=16.95 um, ${\Theta}=77.14^{\circ}$ compared to original optical source. The results of light simulation with various radius of curvature and side angle of pattern shows the similar result of experiment evaluation of light behavior on optical micro patterns. It is regarded that the more effect on light enhancement was contributed by side angle which is effective factor on light reflection, rather than the curvature of micro-patterns.

편재형 컴퓨팅을 위한 미세구조 에너지 하베스팅 시스템의 구조 설계 (Design of Micro-structured Small Scale Energy Harvesting System for Pervasive Computing Applications)

  • In this paper, we designed micro-structured electromagnetic transducers for energy harvesting and verified the performance of proposed transducers using finite element analysis software, COMSOL Multiphysics. To achieve higher energy transduce efficiency, around the magnetic core material, three-dimensional micro-coil structures with high number of turns are fabricated using semiconductor fabrication process technologies. To find relations between device size and energy transduce efficiency, generated electrical power values of seven different sizes of transducers ($3{\times}3\;mm^2$, $6{\times}6\;mm^2$, $9{\times}9\;mm^2$, $12{\times}12\;mm^2$, $15{\times}15\;mm^2$, $18{\times}18\;mm^2$, and $21{\times}21\;mm^2$) are analyzed on various magnetic flux density environment ranging from 0.84 T to 1.54 T and it showed that size of $15{\times}15\;mm^2$ device can generate $991.5\;{\mu}W$ at the 8 Hz of environmental kinetic energy. Compare to other electromagnetic energy harvesters, proposed system showed competitive performance in terms of power generation, operation bandwidth and size. Since proposed system can generate electric power at very low frequency of kinetic energy from typical life environment including walking and body movement, it is expected that proposed system can be effectively applied to various pervasive computing applications including power source of embodied medical equipment, power source of RFID sensors and etc. as an secondary power sources.

디레이팅 기법에 의한 마이크로 퓨즈 용단의 특성 분석 (Character Analysis of Micro Fuse Fusing as a function of De-Rating technique)

  • Recently, Illumination industry of LED module has been focused to industry technology for energy conservation of nation. The LED device is excellent to power efficiency due to semiconductor light source element. And the application to the lighting circuit technology can be designed to the sensitive lighting system for human sensitivity control. In this paper, as a process for analyzing the operating temperature of standardized electronic device including LED device has analyzed about fusing character with in designed micro fuse for electronic device protection from the over current. Using the de-rating technique, which is performed to micro fuse fusing test in the range of $-30^{\circ}C{\sim}120^{\circ}C$ thermostatic chamber. To the output data in each temperature zone, it is performed to first-order linear fitting. Additionally, applying the resistance temperature coefficient and statistical data for the reliable analysis has derived to the metal element resistance of micro fuse with temperature change of the thermostatic chamber. As a research result, The changed temperature effect of thermostatic chamber was confirmed regarding fusing time change.

Fabrication of MFISFET Compatible with CMOS Process Using $SrBi_2Ta_2O_9$(SBT) Materials

  • Metal-ferroelectric-insulator-semoiconductor field effect transistor (MFISFETs) were fabricated using CMOS processes. The Pt/SBT/NO combined layers were etched for forming a conformal gate by using Ti/Cr metal masks and a two step etching method, By the method, we were able to fabricate a small-sized gate with the dimension of $16/4{\mu}textrm{m}$ in the width/length of gate. It has been chosen the non-self aligned source and drain implantation process, We have deposited inter-layer dielectrics(ILD) by low pressure chemical vapor deposition(LPCVD) at $380^{circ}C$ after etching the gate structure and the threshold voltage of p-channel MFISFETs were about 1.0 and -2.1V, respectively. It was also observed that the current difference between the $I_{ON}$(on current) and $I_{OFF}$(off current) that is very important in sensing margin, is more that 100 times in $I_{D}-V_{G}$ hysteresis curve.

  • 본 연구에서는 마이크로 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 외부 수압을 받는 필라멘트 와인딩 복합재 원통의 최적설계를 수행하였다. 목적함수는 파손하중과 좌굴하중을 동시에 고려하여 설계하중을 최대화하는 것이다. 좌굴 및 파손해석은 MSC.NASTRAN을 이용하였고, Carroll의 공개된 마이크로 유전자 알고리즘에 기초한 최적화작업을 수행하였다. 설계변수로는 헬리컬(helical) 와인딩 각도와 후프(hoop) 와인딩 층의 두께비가 고려되었다. 본 연구를 통해 마이크로 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 다양한 형상을 갖는 필라멘트 와인딩 복합재 원통의 좌굴 및 파손하중 최적화가 가능함을 확인하였고, 제안된 알고리즘이 일반 유전자 알고리즘과 비교해서도 높은 효율을 보였다.

  • Current Optical Disk drive is dominating high share gradually in information storage device market through development of great skill. These technologies can achieve not only improvement of transmission speed but also elevation of recording/reproduction technology. However, these present state cause not only the increase of vibration in structural viewpoint but also problem of serious noise while the ODD becomes high speed/high performance. Specially, air-born noise is being bigger than structural-born noise as disk rotation speed increases gradually. The object of this research is that reduce the air-born noise in optical disk drive by reducing a quantity of flow by using a miniaturized muffler. The micro muffler is a miniaturized muffler. The muffler is used widely by solution to reduce air-born noise which is generated by flow. According to frequency band of the noise source, it can be applied by muffler of various forms. In this research, we examined the noise characteristics of the micro muffler and applied it by noise reduction solution of the ODD. It could get an excellent noise reduction in high frequency band by using the micro muffler than the opened case through the decrease of an inner flow. But it could not get a noise reduction in low frequency band through the decrease of an inner flow.

  • A silicon-based micro-reactor to amplify small amount of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) has been fabricated using micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) technology. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) of DNA requires a precise and rapid temperature control. A Pt sensor is integrated directly in the chamber for real-time temperature measurement and an infrared lamp is used as external heating source for non-contact and rapid heating. In addition to the real-time temperature sensing, PCR needs a rapid thermocycling for effective PCR. For a fast thermal response, the thermal mass of the reactor chamber is minimized by removal of bulk silicon volume around the reactor using double-side KOH etching. The transparent optical property of silicon in the infrared wavelength range provides an efficient absorption of thermal energy into the reacting sample without being absorbed by silicon reactor chamber. It is confirmed that the fabricated micro-reactor could be heated up in less than 30 sec to the denaturation temperature by the external infrared lamp and cooled down in 30 sec to the annealing temperature by passive cooling.

  • As high performance and high speed have been accomplished by technology of optical disk drive. optical disk drives have gradually high percentage of the market share in market of storage devices. This technology helps to improve the quality of record/reproduction. However, simultaneously it causes various problems in the structural aspect and increases noise largely. Especially at high speed, dominant noise is more influenced by fluid noise than by structure-borne noise. The purpose of this study is that reduce the air-born noise in optical disk drive as it decreases a quantity of flow by using a micro muffler. The micro muffler is a miniaturized muffler. The muffler is used widely by solution to reduce air-borne noise which is generated by flow. According to frequency band of the noise source, it can be applied by muffler of various forms. In this study, we examined the acoustic characteristics of the micro muffler and applied it to reduction of the ODD noise. It could get an excellent noise reduction in high frequency band through the decrease of an inner flow. But it could not get a noise reduction in low frequency band.

Beta 방사선원을 이용한 정전기 제거법에 대한 고찰 (A study on the elimination of static electricity by use of beta radiation source)

  • This experiment is based on "the feasible improvement studies for an eliminating device of the static electricity which applies the ionizing effect of beta radiation." In order to accomplish this object, the following problems were necessarily considered to investigate and to determine. The efficiency of the elimination of static electricity was determined by means of measuring the ion current between electrically charged plates with micro-ammeter. The effects of various factors, i.e., the distance between charged plate and radiation source, the activity of radiation source, the electric otential and the area of the charged plate, the shape of the source housing, the lining of backscattering material (Pb) on the source housing surface and blowing of ionized air, on the static electricity eliminating efficiency were studied. The beta radiation sources used in this experiment were S$^{35}$ and Sr$^{90}$ -Y$^{90}$ . It was revealed that ion current increased with source activity, the electric potential and area of the plates, the lead (Pb) lining on the surface of the source housing and the velocity of the ionized air blowing. As one could expect the S$^{35}$ was more effective to increase the ion current since it is known to be a higher specific ionization source than Sr$^{90}$ -Y$^{90}$ . DEPENDENCE OF THE SENSITIVITY TO PLANETS ON THE PROPERTIES OF HIGH-MAGNIFICATION GRAVITATIONAL MICROLENSING EVENTS

  • In current microlensing planet searches that are being carried out in a survey/follow-up mode, the most important targets for follow-up observations are lensing events with high magnifications resulting from the very close approach of background source stars to the lens. In this paper, we investigate the dependence of the sensitivity to planets on detailed properties of high-magnification events. From this, it is found that the sensitivity does not monotonically increase as the impact parameter between the lens and the source trajectory decreases. Instead, it is roughly the same for events with impact parameters less than a certain threshold value. It is also found that events involving main-sequence source stars are sensitive to planets in a much wider range of separation and mass ratio, than those events involved with giant source stars. Based on these results, we propose observational strategies for maximal planet detections considering the types of telescopes available for follow-up observations.
