A Study on the Development of a Boiler Control System Simulator for Evaluation of the Fault Tolerant Control System (FTCS의 성능시험을 \ulcorner나 보일러 제어시스템 시뮬레이터의 개발에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper a boiler control system simulator is designed and inplemeted in order to evaluate performance of the Fault Tolerant Control System. It simulates a boiler control system of a thermal power plant containtng boiler process, peripheral units and analog controller. The simulator uses a low order linear model for boiler first order models for the peripheral unit. Specifically the model of the analog controller is modularized and transformed to digital form if order to be implemented using a micro-processor board. The experimental results show the usability of the developed simulator for the performance test of the FTCS.

  • It is suggested that the PWM inverter is controlled by Digital Software Programming. VVVF(Variable Voltage Variable Frequency) inverter control being used by PWM control for driving the motor with speed-varying, makes the PWM pattern with calculating the output voltage and frequency, and with controlling the carrier and signal, so actually this method is difficult to correspond with driving the motor by using voltage-varying and frequency-varying. Therefore this research suggested the new algorithm controlled by micro processor which is already stored by various PWM form of output voltage by using fundamental data of the carrier and signal. The PWM wave can be controlled with real time by using extra hardware and digital software and to speed up program processing, the control signals to switch the power semi-conductor of three phase PWM inverter, simultaneously use the output signal by microprocessor and extra hardware, and control signal by software. In the end, this method was proved by applying to Three Phase Voltage-type Inverter.

  • In this research, buck converter was designed and manufactured to improve the wireless charging of smartphone through PWM control technology based on micro controller. A feedback control circuit was fabricated using a voltage sensor so that the output voltage follows the reference voltage. The buck converter, 311V is output as 12V, DC voltage 12V is connected wirelessly, and 5V charge voltage is output. We also confirmed the availability of the buck converter for wireless charging of smart phone through experiments.

  • A 16-bit adiabatic datapath for micro-power RISC processor is designed. The datapath is composed of a 3-read and 1-write multi-port adiabatic register file and an arithmetic and logic unit. A four-phase clock generator is also designed to provide supply clocks fer adiabatic circuits and the driving capability control scheme is proposed. All the clock line charge on the capacitive interconnections is recovered to recycle energy. Adiabatic circuits are designed based on efficient charge recovery logic(ECRL) and are implemented using a 0.35 fm CMOS technology. Functional and energy simulation is carried out to show the feasibility of adiabatic datapath. Simulation results show that the power consumption of the adiabatic datapath including supply clock generator is reduced by a factor of 1.4∼1.5 compared to that of the conventional CMOS.

  • The microprogram is the key technology of the implementation of the processor's control unit. But the coding and testing it is the most tedious process in the developing a new computer system. We developed the conversational micro architecture simulator(C-MAS) in order to use it as a microprogram development tool and a run time analyzer of the microprogram. We discuss the hardware description language(HDL) for a smulation, the design constraints of the C-MAS, and the user interface of it in this paper. We used the C language as the description language, and developed it on the berkeley UNIX4.2.

  • This paper has been studied about supply of optical source of laser diode with stable and uniform output wavelength in optical transmission system. The stabilized constant current circuit is designed. The temperature control circuit is constructed for the control of internal temperature of laser diode. Also, the wavelength locker is used in optical output. Finally, A/D, D/A converter and micro-processor are used for the control of temperature.

  • This paper deals with the parallel operation of several numbers of PWM converters for a high speed railway train application. Several considerations are made to reduce the transformer interaction which can cause a current control problem in severe case. Also, in this paper, novel control strategy is proposed to achieve a harmonic free primary-side current control under a light load condition using one current sensor independent of the number of converters. In addition, the modified predictive current controller, which is suitable to a digital current controller with a relatively large sampling period, is used. Finally, to verify the system validity, digital control system with TMS320C44 micro-processor and small scale simulator are made and tested.

  • This paper proposes a Intel 8097 single-chip microprocessor based instantaneous voltage control scheme of inverter for UPS(Uninterruptible Power Supply). There microprocessors are used to control the output voltage and frequency of the inverter, the synchronization with by-pass, and the switching of the static switch. And the status and operating conditions of UPS systems is monitored by micro processor. The inverter output voltage is controlled instantaneously with a double regulation loop so that it has very good dynamic response for the varying loads or nonlinear loads as a rectifier. And also, the software and hardware of control system is described. From simulation and experimental results, it is shown that the proposed scheme has very good performance.

  • The speed control system of induction motor without speed sensor is proposed in this paper. The speed of induction motor is calculated by motor terminal voltages and currents. The equations for speed calculation are derived and they are implemented on 16bit micro-processor Mc68000. The software and hardware for the Mc 68000 is developed. To prove the validity of the proposed method, the calculated speed is compared with the measured speed. The maximum speed error is nearly 1% in the overall range. The proposed speed calculation method is applied to the Current Source Inverter(CSI) fed induction motor drive system. The experimental results show the good dynamics and the resonable speed control accuracy.

  • This paper describes and discusses the employment of HMG pattern analysis to provide upper-motor-neuron paraplegics with patient-responsive control of FES ( functional electrical stimulation) for the purpose of walker-supported walking. The use of above-lesion EMG signals as a solution to the control problem is considered. The AR(autoregressive)parameters are identified by time-varying nonstationary Kalman filler algorithm using DSP chip and classified by fuzzy theory. The control and stimuli part of the below-lesion are based on micro-processor(8031). The designed stimulator is a 4-channel version. The experiments described above have only attempted to discriminate between standing function and sit-down function A further advantge of the this system Is applied for motor rehabilitation of social readaption of paralyzed humans.
