Processing of Barrier Ribs of PDP Using an UV-curable Paste (광경화성 페이스트를 이용한 PDP 격벽 형성 연구)

  • In an attempt to reduce processing cost and to improve resolution of PDPs, micro mold transfer processing route for barrier ribs of plasma display panel was attempted. In this study, the parameters that may cause defects during the process were identified, which include the shrinkage during UV curing process, stress due to evaporation of organic components, and sintering shrinkage. Considering such parameters, UV curable paste was developed and barrier ribs of PDPs were successfully processed via the process. This work demonstrated the possibility of build-up route in manufacturing barrier ribs of PDP.

  • Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) offers the advantages of simple and robust motor construction, high speeds and high efficiencies over a wide operating range of torque and speed, excellent controllability. However, SRM has the disadvantages of high current harmonics, and low power factor because of a capacitor filter is inserted in the power converter and inductance of SRM is high, it has pulse waveform of current. This paper deals with an energy efficient converter fed SRM system with the reduced harmonics and improved power factor and with higher efficiency. The validity of the proposed scheme is verified via experiment. We are implemented the proposed control system using 80C196KC micro-controller.

  • This paper describes a new voltage recorder for the voltage management of a power distribution line by using a new voltage measurement technique. The RMS(Root Mean Square) voltage measurement for the power line under the assumption of a sinusoidal input voltage is taken by the full-wave rectifier, half-adder utilizing operational amplifier(OP) circuit. A/D converter utilizing a dual slope converter converts an analog voltage signal into a serial pulse. The pulse is counted with a single chip micro-controller, converted with the RMS voltage, and saved into a flash memory. In the last, a new voltage recorder with compact size and multifunction is developed. Also, Voltage Management System that can analyze the stored data via RS-232C cable is developed based on Windows 95 and Visual C++.

  • Ultrafine lead magnesium niobate $Pb(Mg_{1/3}Nb_{2/3}) O_3$ (PMN) powders have been successfully prepared via a micro-emulsion processing technique. By stepwise hydrolysis using aqueous as the precipitant, hydroxide precursor was obtained from nitrate solutions dispersed in the nanosized aqueous domains of a microemulsion consisting of cyclohexane, non-ionic surfactant (NP5+NP9) and an aueous phase. Upon calcination of the microemulsion-derived precursor at $800^{\circ}C$, PMN powders with 100% perovskite phase was obtained.

  • Digital Polymer Motor (DPM) based on dielectric elastomer is presented. It includes all the supplementary parts for actuation such as micro-controller, DC-DC converter etc. DPM can be operated by itself with the program embedded and controlled via serial interface with PC. The actuator accomplishes bidirectional actuation and compliance controllability, which are important characteristics for a biomimetic artificial muscle actuator. DPM accomplish these requirements without any mechanical substitute or complicated algorithms.   • This paper proposes a wearable interface for a tendon-driven robotic hand prosthesis. The proposed interface is composed of a dataglove to measure finger and wrist joint angle, and a micro-control board with a wireless RF module. The interface is used for posture control of the robotic hand prosthesis. The measured joint angles by the dataglove are transferred to the main controller via the wireless module. The controller works for directly controlling the joint angle of the hand or for recognizing hand postures using a pattern recognition method such as LDA and k-NN. The recognized hand postures in this study are the paper, the rock, the scissors, the precision grasp, and the tip grasp. In experiments, we show the performances of the wearable interface including the pattern recognition method.

  • In this paper, a microassembly system based on hybrid manipulation schemes is proposed and applied to the assembly of a photonic component. In order to achieve both high precision and dexterity in microassembly, we propose a hybrid microassembly system with sensory feedbacks of vision and force. This system consists of the distributed 6-DOF micromanipulation units, the stereo microscope, and haptic interface for the force feedback-based microassembly. A hybrid assembly method, which combines the vision-based microassembly and the scaled teleoperated microassembly with force feedback, is proposed. The feasibility of the proposed method is investigated via experimental studies for assembling micro opto-electrical components. Experimental results show that the hybrid microassembly system is feasible for applications to the assembly of photonic components in the commercial market with better flexibility and efficiency.

  • 시스템을 입력과 출력값 만으로 제어하고자 할 경우에는, 플랜트의 파라메타를 추정하면서 제어해 나가야 할 것이다. 이러한 경우에는, 귀환제어나 최적제어 형태로는 여러가지 문제점이 발견되어서, 최근에 적응제어가 많이 연구되고 있다. 이에는 Gain-Scheduling 방법, Self-tuning regulator 방법 및 model reference adaptive control 방법이 있다. Gain-Scheduling 방법은 미지의 파라메타가 plant에 있을지라도, 이를 즉시 예측할 수 있을 경우 보조변수 추정을 통하여 이득을 조절하여 시스템을 안정시키는 것이고, self tuning regulator는 보조변수를 직접 조정하여 시스템을 제어한다. 또 model reference adaptive control 방법은 기준모델을 정하여, 이에 따라 관측기 등을 통하여, 플랜트의 파라메타를 추정 제어해 나가는 것이다. 이때 기준 모델의 출력과 플랜트 출력사이의 오차를 어떻게 할 것인가? 추정되는 파라메타와 오차와의 대수관계 및 차수 등, 그 한계 해석이 최근의 MRAC 설계연구에 큰 과제가 되어 왔다. 이에 본 연구에서는 신호합성 및 해석에 뛰어난 기능이 있는 Walsh 함수를 이용하여, 간단한 Micro computer의 도움으로, 오차 함수를 합성하고, 미지의 파라메타를 추정하여, 시스템의 adaptive filter설계에의 가능성에 대하여 연구하고자 한다. 또 이를 실제 예를 들어 고찰하였다.

A Study on the Corrosion Characteristics of a Metal Surface by Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (레이저 유도 플라즈마 분광분석법을 적용한 금속표면의 부식 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The corrosion of metal specimens was analyzed in this study using laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy. The samples used in the study were magnesium alloys and corrosion, and standard specimens were prepared and analyzed using surface and depth analysis. The spectral wavelengths used in the oxide layer analysis were 777.196 nm, 777.421 nm, and 777.543 nm. The spectral line of the surface corrosion was confirmed by experimentation, and surface micro morphology analysis was performed using an optical microscope. Approximately $100{\mu}m$ corrosion depth was confirmed via laser irradiation in the depth direction. The results of laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy and the SEM-EDS analysis were compared and analyzed.
