초음파 진동을 이용한 금형사상의 자동화 공정 연구 (A study on automated process for surface finishing of die and mould using ultrasonic vibration)

  • An attempt to automate the surface finishing process of the die and mould has been carried out. An UMB(Ultrasonic Micro Burnishing) equipment which brought the micro plastic cold deformation to the 3D sculptured surface of mold and dies by ultrasonic vibration and static load, was developed and installed at the head stock of a vertical machining center. To be satisfied with the required surface roughness and hardness, the DB based program was also developed and applied. This equipment composes of UMB equipement, CNC vertical machining center, CAD/CAM system and the DB based program fer optimal condition. UMB processing effect was obtained from initial value Ral.25 and Hk337 to Ra0.085 and Hk521 and similar result was shown in industrial mould application.

3차원 물품 적재에 관한 마이크로 컴퓨터용 프로그램 개발 (Development of a Micro-Computer based Program for the Three Dimensional Packing Problem)

  • This paper presents a heuristic solution for the three dimensional container loading problem with boxes which are different in size. The container loading problem is formulated as a zero-one mixed integer programming model whose objective is to maximize the container utilization. Due to its problem complexity, we propose a heuristic based on layered loading technique. Also, presented is a way to achieve the weighting balance of the stacked boxes. A micro-computer based program is developed which generates container loading pattern provided by the proposed heuristic. The results are displayed by computer-graphic. To evaluate the performance of the proposed heuristic, computational experiments are performed. The results indicate that in most of the cases the proposed heuristic performs better than an existing heuristic in terms of the container utilization.

  • 오늘날 유한요소해석 결과를 컴퓨터 그래픽을 활용하여 일목요연하게 후처리 함은 일반화 되어 있다. 그래픽을 이용하면 해석된 많은 수치 출력대신에 이해하기 쉬운 도면의 형태로 해석결과를 분석하거나, 모델의 기하학적 형태를 검토할 수 있게 되므로 시간과 노력을 대폭 절감할 수 있다. 그러나, 최근까지 유한소요 후처리는 대형컴퓨터와 이에 종속되는 고가의 도화처리 장비에 의존하여 왔다. 유한요소법을 이용한 해석시 발생하는 많은 수치출력을 고가의 도화장비가 아닌 저가의 도화장비에 출력하고자 하는 노력의 결과로 PC용 그래픽후처리 프로그램인 MICRO-POST가 개발되었다.

  • Simple genetic algorithm(SGA) has been used to optimize a lot of structural optimization problems because it can optimize non-linear problems and obtain the global solution. But, because of large evolving populations during many generations, it takes a long time to calculate fitness. Therefore this paper applied micro-genetic algorithm(μ -GA) to structural optimization and compared results of μ -GA with results of SGA. Additionally, the Paper applied μ -GA to gate optimization problem for injection molds by using simulation program CAPA.

Efficient Dynamic Slicing of Object-Oriented Program

  • Traditional slicing techniques make slices through dependence graphs. They also improve the accuracy of slices. However, traditional slicing techniques require many vertices and edges in order to express a data communication links. Therefore the graph becomes complicated, and size of the slices is larger. We propose the representation of a dynamic object-oriented program dependence graph so as to process the slicing of object-oriented programs that is composed of related programs in order to process certain jobs. The efficiency of the proposed efficient dynamic object-oriented program dependence graph technique is also compared with the dependence graph techniques discussed previously. As a result, this is certifying that an efficient dynamic object-oriented program dependence graph is more efficient in comparison with the traditional dynamic object-oriented program dependence graph.

유한요소법에 의한 골강도와 micro-CT 지표 및 골밀도간의 상관관계 (Analysis on correlation between bone strength by FEA, micro-CT parameters and bone mineral density)

  • Purpose : Bone mineral density (BMD) and bone microarchitecture are important determinants for bone strength. Recently micro-CT have provided possibilities for measuring a variety of structural indices to characterize bone microarchitecture. The objective of this study was to compare the BMD and micro-CT parameters with Young's modulus calculated by finite element analysis (FEA) for the evaluation of bone strength. Materials and Methods Bone specimens were obtained from the 18 female rabbits aged 16 weeks. Of those, 36 samples (right and left femur) were selected for 3D micro-CT analysis $(ANT^{TM},\;SKYSCAN,\;Belgium)$ and BMD by PIXlmus 2 (GE Lunar Co. USA). Five microstructural parameters of micro-CT, such as trabecular thickness (Tb.Th), bone specific surface (BS/BV), percent bone volume (BV/TV), structure model index (SMI) and degree of anisotropy (DOA) were studied. Young's modulus was obtained by software program (ANSYS 9.0, ANSYS Inc, Canonsburg, PA) based on micro-CT three dimensional images. Results : Young's modulus assessed by FEA correlated significantly with Tb.Th, BV/TV, BS/BV and SMI respectively. Young's modulus showed higher correlation with these rnicrostructural parameters of micro-CT than BMD. Microstructural parameters except DOA showed significant correlations within the examined group. Conclusion The microarchitectural parameters o( micro-CT and BMD represented some informations in the evaluation of bone strength assessed by FEA.

  • Nowadays, the development of microfluidic chip [i.e. biochip, micro-total analysis system ($\mu$-TAS) and LOC (lab-on-a-chip)] becomes more active, and the microchannels to deliver fluid by pressure or electroosmotic forces tend to be more complex like electronic circuits or networks. For a simple network of channels, we may calculate the pressure and the flow rate easily by using suitable formula. However, for complex network it is not handy to obtain such information with that simple way. For this reason, Graphic User Interface (GUI) program which can rapidly give required information should be necessary for microchip designers. In this paper, we present a GUI program developed in our laboratory and the simple theoretical formula used in the program. We applied our program to simple case and could get results compared well with other numerical results. Further, we applied our program to several complex cases and obtained reasonable results.

MicroSim(R)을 병용한 시뮬레이션기반 중환자간호교육의 운영 및 평가 (Implementation and Evaluation of Simulation Based Critical Care Nursing Education Used with MicroSim(R))

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the results after implementing a simulation based critical care nursing education with $MicroSim^{(R)}$. Method: Simulation based education was used for a clinical scenario on a patient with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) and acute coronary syndrome(ACS). Self-learning program was used for an acute asthma attack and acute myocardial infarction(AMI) in the $MicroSim^{(R)}$. A total of 97 nursing students were chosen. A pretest and posttest was conducted to evaluate learning achievement, clinical performance ability and self-directed learning. Result: Learning achievement and clinical performance ability significantly increased but self-directed learning did not. Conclusion: Simulation based education used with $MicroSim^{(R)}$ was useful for improving learning achievement and clinical performance ability of nursing students. Further studies are needed to compare the effects of simulation based education.

마이크로 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 외부 수압을 받는 필라멘트 와인딩 복합재 원통의 최적 설계 (Optimal Design of Filament Wound Composite Cylinders under External Hydrostatic Pressure using a Micro-Genetic Algorithm)

  • 본 연구에서는 마이크로 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 외부 수압을 받는 필라멘트 와인딩 복합재 원통의 최적설계를 수행하였다. 목적함수는 파손하중과 좌굴하중을 동시에 고려하여 설계하중을 최대화하는 것이다. 좌굴 및 파손해석은 MSC.NASTRAN을 이용하였고, Carroll의 공개된 마이크로 유전자 알고리즘에 기초한 최적화작업을 수행하였다. 설계변수로는 헬리컬(helical) 와인딩 각도와 후프(hoop) 와인딩 층의 두께비가 고려되었다. 본 연구를 통해 마이크로 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 다양한 형상을 갖는 필라멘트 와인딩 복합재 원통의 좌굴 및 파손하중 최적화가 가능함을 확인하였고, 제안된 알고리즘이 일반 유전자 알고리즘과 비교해서도 높은 효율을 보였다.
