Oral Mucosal Adhesive Tablets of Omeprazole (오메프라졸 구강점막 부착정제에 관한 연구)

  • Buccal absorption test of omeprazole in human was performed to determine the permeability of the drug molecule through oral mucous membrane. Oral mucosal adhesive tablets of omeprazole were prepared by compressing the omeprazole with a mixture of sodium alginate and hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose (HPMC) as bioadhesive polymers, magnesium oxide (MgO) as a stabilizer and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (Na CMC) or cros-carmellose sodium (Ac-Di-Sol) as disintegrants. The bioadhesive force, stability in saliva and release characteristics of the tablets were evaluated. Omeprazole was absorbed about 23% in 15 min through human buccal mucous membrane. Furthermore, omeprazole was stable in saliva for more than 8 hrs when MgO was added to the tablet as the amount of 2.5 fold of omeprazole. The release rate of omeprazole was increased with increasing the amount of sodium alginate in the tablet. From these results, it is suggested that tablets composed of [omeprazole/HPMC/sodium alginate/MgO/Ac-Di-Sol and/or Na CMC (20/6/24/50/10) (mg/tablet)] are potential candidate for buccal drug delivery system.

The Synthesis of Vanadium-Doped Forsterite by the $H_2O_2$-Assisted Sol-Gel Method, and the Growth of Single Crystals of Vanadium-Doped Forsterite by the Floating Zone Method

  • Polycrystalline powder of vanadium-doped forsterite (Vδ $Mg_2SiO_4$) was synthesized by the $H_2O_2$-assisted sol-gel method. The vanadium dopant, which was added as VO$(OMe)_3$ in methanol, went through several redox reactions as the sol-gel reaction proceeded. Upon adding VO$(OMe)_3$ to a mixture of $Mg(OMe)_2$ and Si$(OEt)_4$ in methanol, V(V) reduced to V(IV). As hydrolysis reaction proceeded, the V(IV) oxidized all back to V(V). Apparently, some of the V(V) reduced to V(IV) during subsequent gelation by condensation reaction. The V(IV) remained even after heat treatment of the gel in highly oxidizing atmosphere. The crystallization of the xerogel around 880 ℃ readily produced single phase forsterite without any minor phase. Using the polycrystalline powder as feeding stock, single crystals of vanadium-doped forsterite were grown by the floating zone method in oxidizing or reducing atmosphere. The doping was limited in low level because of the high partitioning of the vanadium in liquid phase during melting. The greenish single crystal absorbed visible light of 700∼1100 nm. But, no emission was obtained in near infrared range.

Structural and Dielectirc Properties of BST-MgO with $B_{2}O_{3}-Li_{2}CO_{3}$ Thick Films ($B_{2}O_{3}-Li_{2}CO_{3}$의 첨가량에 따른 BST-MgO 후막의 구조 및 유전 특성)

  • At first the $Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}TiO_{3}$-MgO powder with $B_{2}O_{3}-Li_{2}CO_{3}$ were made by the Sol-Gel method. And then the thick films of BST-MgO with $B_{2}O_{3}-Li_{2}CO_{3}$ were fabricated on the $Al_{2}O_{3}$ substrates coated with Pt by the screen printing method. The structural and dielectric properties of the BST-MgO thick film with $B_{2}O_{3}-Li_{2}CO_{3}$ addition were investigated. The structure of the BST-MgO with $B_{2}O_{3}-Li_{2}CO_{3}$ thick films were dense and homogeneous with no pores. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss were increased with decreasing the $B_{2}O_{3}-Li_{2}CO_{3}$ addition ratio.

  • Using the $(Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}){TiO_3}$(BST) powders prepared by the Sol-Gel method, the EST thick films were fabricated on the ${Al_2}{O_3}$ substrates coated with Pt by the screen printing method. Compared with pure EST thick films, the structural and dielectric properties of the EST thick films doped with 1${\sim}$10 wt % MgO were investigated. It was observed that the Mg substitution into EST causes a shift in the cubic-tetragonal EST phase transition peak to a lower temperature. The microstructure of the EST substituted with Mg was homogeneous and dense. Mg substitution into EST had a significant effect on the grain size reduction. Dielectric constant was decreased with increasing the MgO content and temperature. In the case of EST thick films doped with 1 wt% MgO, the relative permittivity and dielectric loss were 158] and 1.4 % at 1 MHz.

A study on the preparation and analysis of cordierite by sol-gel method (졸-겔법에 의한 코디어라이트 제조와 분석에 관한 연구)

  • The golden turbid solution of cordierite precursor was obtained by using magnesium ethoxide in sol-gel method, while the clear solution of cordierite precursor was obtained when 5%-$Zr(OC_3H_7)_4$ solution was used in the sol-gel reaction. $SiO_2$ component was confirmed by infrared spectra showing $1045cm^{-1}$ and the stretching vibration of gelish $SiO_4$ showed $1140cm^{-1}$ and $940cm^{-1}$. The component of $Al_2O_3$ showed at $580cm^{-1}$ and network structure of $Al_2O_6$ showed at $680cm^{-1}$. The component of MgO was confirmed at $575cm^{-1}$ as the stretching vibration. X-ray diffraction analysis showed ${\mu}$-cordierite crystal was showed up at temperature above $1000^{\circ}C$ at the mole ratio of cordierite precursor and water (1:5). ${\mu}$-Cordierite and ${\alpha}$-cordierite were coexisted at $1050^{\circ}C$ for the mole ratio of cordierite precursor and ammonia (1:5) while ${\alpha}$-cordierite was only existed at $1100^{\circ}C$ for the same mole ratio as mentioned above.

  • The cordierite (MgO, SiO2, Al2O3) is of great interest for microelectronic packaging of integrated circuits. Its main advantages are low dielectric constant and low thermal expansion. The cordierite precursor is obtained by sol-gel synthesis using organic and inorganic compounds. The obtained cordierite precursor is an amorphous state at about 900\ulcorner. Green and fired cordierite samples were studied by SEM. Microanalysis X and TEM for microscopic properties. The fired cordierite shows forte diminution of Mg in comparison with its value at volume and the deficit of Mg compensates by sugmentation of Al and Si \ulcornercordierite and \ulcornercordierite are present near the surface (< 100) and small quantities of magnesium aluminate (MgAl2O4)is presented spinnel phase.

  • In this study, the $TiO_2$ nano spheres were synthesized by Sol-gel method to give an excellent UV-blocking effect and increase waste adsorption. The pH value was adjusted to obtain a superb UV-blocking effect and adsorption capacity due to the high surface area which is the characteristics of porosity. Base treated $TiO_2$ showed outstanding characteristics. The adsorption of gycerine onto the $TiO_2$ sample using TGA resulted in a high surface area of 1.16 mg/mg. This also showed a high reflectance in the UV-A region. In order to find the optimum dispersion, inorganic powder particles were maintained their sizes as 180 nm for about 6 months. The size of particles were measured using ester oil and silicon oil. Overall, the results reveal that $TiO_2$ has an excellent capability sunscreen in the UV-A region and skin waste adsorption.
