  • The article is organized as follows: In Section 2, the functions involved in the total design process are discussed in terms of five phases and the term IGCAD (interactive graphic computer aided design) is introduced. Section 3 is devoted to the discussion of the IGCAD system and turns out to be the longest section. We discuss two particular examples of IGCAD applications and the benefits of IGCAD methodology in Section 4.

Document Trace Diagram 과 IDEF 모델을 이용한 CALS 시스템 개발 방법론 (CALS System Development Methodology Using Document Trace Diagram and IDEF Model)

  • The basic goal of CALS is to improve transactions and relationships among organizations through information sharing and integration. CALS is an information strategy which needs strong cooperation between organizations or between users and developers in design step. However, current design methodologies using IDEF models, that are considered to be standard for CALS system development, has some limitations. For example, it is difficult for system developers to communicate with counterparts by IDEF model since IDEF models are difficult for counterparts to understand. In this paper, we suggest a development methodology for GALS systems by complementing IDEF model with Document Trace Diagram, which we developed as a communication tool, The concept of Document Trace Diagram stems from the fact that most information exchanged within or between organizations is in the form of documents and most standard operating procedures of organizations are about processing the documents. It helps system developers identify functions and their ICOMs (Input, Control, Output, Mechanism) with ease and little communication cost. With this methodology, we have constructed the GALS prototype system for construction industry.

  • 조선족문화지도는 아시아전자문화지도 구현을 위한 첫 단계로 기획된 프로토타입 전자문화지도이다. 조선족은 조선어와 한어를 함께 사용하며 한민족 고유의 유 무형 전통문화와 중국의 문화를 융합된 형태로 지닌 소수민족 특유의 문화특징을 보여주며, 이러한 소수민족적 특징은 다민족적이고 다문화적인 아시아 문화를 이해하고 표현하는데 있어 중요한 요소중 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 조선족 문화지도 설계를 위해 관련 자료의 수집 분류, 키워드추출, 유사항목 분류, 문화지도요소 추출, 전자문화지도 기술요소 추출 및 프로토타입 설계, 전자문화지도의 구현 등 아시아전자문화지도 전체에 적용될 설계방법론을 제시하고 있다.

Development of a protocol for guidance in the pediatric nursing practicum in South Korea: a methodology study

  • Purpose: Practical training in pediatric nursing gives students the opportunity to apply nursing knowledge to children in a realistic clinical context. Clinical practice faculty (CPF) and clinical nursing instructor (CNI) have played important roles in the pediatric nursing practicum. This study was conducted to develop a protocol to guide clinical practicum in pediatric nursing. Methods: A service design methodology was employed between August 2020 and May 2021 at four universities and four hospitals in South Korea. The participants were five CPFs, five CNIs, five nursing college graduates, and 60 nursing students. The service design process had four phases: discovery, definition, development, and delivery. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and observations. The data were analyzed using content analysis and descriptive statistics. Results: The participants reported needs for providing concrete guidance and explanation, nursing practice experience, and a link between school and the clinical field. A protocol was developed to fulfill the participants' needs. The protocol comprised detailed information, teaching methodology, and partnership to guide students in the pediatric nursing practicum. Conclusion: The protocol developed in this study can be used to provide guidance for students' clinical practice in the field of pediatric nursing.

시뮬레이션을 이용한 고효율 분산 브래그 반사경 최적화 설계 및 특성 (Design Optimization for High Efficiency Distributed Bragg Reflectors through Simulation Methodology)

  • 본 연구에서는 LED칩 및 LCD 검사장비의 핵심부품인 광학 필름제조에 많이 사용되고 있는 DBR(Distributed Bragg Reflectors) 구조에 대한 시뮬레이션 방법을 개발하고 이러한 다층박막 특성 시뮬레이션을 통하여 최적의 DBR 구조를 제시하였다. 고굴절률 유전체인 $TiO_2$와 저굴절률 유전체인 $SiO_2$ 박막을 교대로 적층한 다층박막 구조에서 $TiO_2$$SiO_2$의 refractive index 값을 사용하여 박막의 배치 및 조합에 따른 wavelength(nm) vs. reflectance(%) 스펙트럼을 계산하였고 이 결과로 시뮬레이션을 통한 고효율 분산 브래그 반사경 최적화 설계 및 공정에 활용하여 DBR 구조 제작에 사용할 수 있었다.

Response surface methodology based multi-objective optimization of tuned mass damper for jacket supported offshore wind turbine

  • This paper presents a review on getting a Weighted Multi-Objective Optimization (WMO) of Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) parameters based on Response Surface Methodology (RSM) coupled central composite design and Weighted Desirability Function (WDF) to attenuate the earthquake vibration of a jacket supported Offshore Wind Turbine (OWT). To optimize the parameters (stiffness and damping coefficient) of damper, the frequency ratio and damping ratio were considered as a design variable and the top displacement and frequency response were considered as objective functions. The optimization has been carried out under only El Centro earthquake results and after obtained the optimal parameters, more two earthquakes (California and Northridge) has been performed to investigate the performance of optimal damper. The obtained results also compared with the different conventional TMD's designed by Den Hartog's, Sadek et al.'s and Warburton's method. From the results, it was found that the optimal TMD based on RSM shows better response than the conventional damper. It is concluded that the proposed response model offers an efficient approach regarding the TMD optimization.

컨텍스트 인지 시스템 개발에 소프트웨어 공학 방법론 적용 사례 (A Case Study of Applying Software Engineering Development Methodology to a Context-aware System)

  • 본 논문은 MyGuide라는 컨텍스트 인지 전시물 안내 시스템에 Simtext 개발 방법론을 적용한 개발 사례를 소개한다. 특히, 개발과정에서 컨텍스트와 관련되어서 고려할 사항, 문제를 해결한 방법 등을 소개한다. MyGuide 개발의 요구사항 도출단계에서는 비즈니스 로직과 컨텍스트 서비스를 위한 요구사항을 분리해서 도출함으로써 시스템의 복잡도를 줄일 수 있었다. 설계 단계에서는 컨텍스트 모델링, 아키덱처 설계, 클래스 및 데이타베이스 설계를 순차적으로 수행하였다. 특히 컨텍스트 모델링은 시스템의 요구 사항에 부합하도록 하였으며, 컨텍스트 모델에 따라 클래스와 데이타베이스를 설계하였다.

적층가공 특화설계기법을 이용한 스페이스 프레임 차체 노드 부품 개발 (Node Part Development of Vehicle Body with Space Frame Using Design Technology for Additive Manufacturing)

  • Recently, design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) technology has become a prominent design methodology for exploiting 3D printing, which leads the Fourth Industrial Revolution. When manufactured by the 3D printing method, it is possible to produce several shapes compared to the conventional casting or cutting process. DfAM-as a newly-proposed design methodology-can be used to specially design products with various shapes to apply functional requirements. Topology optimization verifies load paths to determine the draft design, and a shape-optimized design with objective functions for weight reduction enables efficient lightweight product design. In this study, by using these two DfAM technologies, a lightweight and optimal design is constructed for a node part of a vehicle body with a space frame designed for a lightweight vehicle. DfAM methodologies for concept design and detailed design, and the associated results, are presented. Finally, the product was additively manufactured, a fatigue performance test was performed, and the design reliability was verified.

순환 알고리즘의 Processor Array에로의 합성 및 구현 (The Synthesizing Implementation of Iterative Algorithms on Processor Arrays)

  • A systematic methodology for efficient implementation of processor arrays from regular iterative algorithms is proposed. One of the modern parallel processing array architectures is the Systolic arrays and we use it for processor arrays on this paper. On designing the systolic arrays, there are plenty of mapping functions which satisfy necessary conditions for its implementation to the time-space domain. In this paper, we sue a few conditions to reduce the total number of computable mapping functions efficiently. As a results of applying this methodology, efficient designs of systolic arrays could be done with considerable saving on design time and efforts.
