The data were collected from November 5 to 22, 2010. The data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation and multiple regression with SPSS 18.0. Results: A positive correlation was found for college adaptation with stress coping styles and ego-resilience. The strongest predictor of college adaptation was an optimistic attitude. In addition optimistic attitude, satisfaction with nursing as a major, confidence, academic scores, age, emotional control, and gender accounted for 63.3% of variance in college adaptation. Purpose: This study aimed to investigate duty-related incidental stress, coping method, and stress factors in 133 new firefighters. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was administrated to 133 new firefighters between April and May 2010. It consisted of 33 and 62 items concerning duty-related incident stress and coping methods, respectively. Data were analyzed by using the t-test, analysis of variance, Pearson correlation coefficient analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Results: New firefighters experienced the most stress when inappropriately dispatched. Duty-related incidental stress correlated with active (r = .420, p < .001) and passive coping (r = .450, p < .001). Also active coping statistically correlated with passive coping (r = .890, p < .001). Influencing factors of duty-related incidental stress were passive coping (t = 2.12, p < .05), experience of having a co-worker in a dangerous situation (t = 3.30, p < .001), having less than 6 months of work experience (t = 2.30, p < .05), and experience of having oneself in a dangerous situation (t = 2.05, p < .05). Conclusion: New firefighters need to be provided with training on active coping to prevent posttraumatic stress disorders and, social support immediately after an inappropriate and stressful dispatch.

Method: For this purpose, the structured survey was conducted by 394 parents of adult children with developmental disabilities. The data was analysed by AMOS 20.0 version. Results: The findings can be summarized as follows: First, the structural equation model(SEM) analysis was conducted in order to examine the various paths that parents' caregiving stress affected their life satisfaction. The model's goodness-of-fit was fine($x^2=225.20$, df=95, p=000. RMSEA=.06, TLI=.95). There were significant relationships between caregiving stress and family resilience(${\beta}=-.36$, p<.001), emotion-focused coping style(${\beta}=.47$, p<.001), life satisfaction(${\beta}=-.53$, p<.001). Second, family resilience and emotion-focused coping showed mediating effects on the relationship between caregiving stress and life satisfaction. This study investigates coping strategies of overweight or underweight males in Korea. For this purpose, the authors identify types of stress related to weight management. A qualitative method was utilized to collect the data related to successful weight management experiences of males aged 20-37 years. The results of this study identified the stress related to weight: dissatisfaction with appearance, others' disapproval of appearance, health problems, weaker athletic ability, negative self-perception, passiveness about appearance, lower romantic attractiveness, others' disapproval of lower romantic attractiveness, weakened task execution capability, and negative stereo-types about task execution capability. In addition, six coping strategies were suggested: improved appearance, improved physical function, improved positive self-perception, more choices to improve appearance, enhanced romantic relationship, and enhanced job performance. This study shows that weight problems in modern society are diverse and complex. Therefore a man who has abnormal weight needs to clarify his stress first and then proposes strategies that are appropriate for each type of stress.
