염화니켈 (NiCl2) 노출에 따른 북방전복 Haliotis discus hannai의 생존율, 탈락률 및 조직학적 지표 변화 (Changes of Survival Rate, Falling Rate and Histological Biomarker in the Abalone Haliotis discus hannai Exposed to Nickel Chloride)

  • 본 연구는 염화니켈 만성노출에 따른 북방전복의 체내 염화니켈 축적농도, 생존율, 탈락률 및 조직학적 지표 변화에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다. 실험구는 1개의 대조구와 4개의 염화니켈 노출구 (7.0, 12.0, 17.0, 22.0 NiCl2 mg/L) 였다. 염화니켈에 노출된 북방전복의 체내 축적 농도는 모든 노출구에서 유의적으로 증가하는 결과를 보였다. 생존률 및 탈락률은 대조구에 비해 노출구에서 농도의존적으로 나타났다. 북방전복의 발, 아가미, 간췌장의 조직학적 변화는 시간이 경과함에 따라 대조구보다 노출구에서 뚜렷하게 나타났다.

MWCNT, silver nanoparticles, CuBTC를 사용한 염소 이온 센서 합성

  • Quantitative measurement of chloride ion concentration has an important role in various fields of electrochemistry, medical science, biology, metallurgy, architecture, etc. Among them, its importance of architecture is ever-growing due to unexpected degradations of building structure. These situations are caused by corrosion of reinforced concrete (RC) structure of buildings. And chloride ions are the most powerful factors of RC structure corrosion. Therefore, precise inspection of chloride ion concentration must be required to increase the accuracy of durability monitoring. Multi-walled Carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) have high chemical resistivity, large surface area and superior electrical property. Thus, it is suitable for the channels of electrical signals made by the sensor. Silver nanoparticles were added to giving the sensing property. CuBTC, one of the metal organic frameworks (MOFs), was employed as a material to improve the sensing property because of its hydrophilicity and high surface area to volume ratio. In this study, sensing element was synthesized by various chemical reaction procedures. At first, MWCNTs were functionalized with a mixture of sulfuric acid and nitric acid because of enhancement of solubility in solution and surface activation. And functionalized MWCNTs, silver nanoparticles, and CuBTC were synthesized on PTFE membrane, one by one. Electroless deposition process was performed to deposit the silver nanoparticles. CuBTC was produced by room temperature synthesis. Surface morphology and composition analysis were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), respectively. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was also performed to confirm the existence of sensing materials. The electrical properties of sensor were measured by semiconductor analyzer. The chloride ion sensing characteristics were confirmed with the variation of the resistance at 1 V.

  • 본 연구에서는 전기화학법으로 생성된 염소를 산화제로 이용하여 루테늄의 침출에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 휘발성 루테늄산화물의 손실을 막기 위해 전 시스템이 밀폐형으로 제작된다. 루테늄의 침출의 최적조건을 조사하기 위해 pH, 온도, 전해 염소 생성시 인가전류 등의 영향을 조사하였다. 염소전해생성 시스템에 산화전류를 인가하여 염소가스를 발생시키고 침출조에 공급하여 루테늄 용해에 필요한 염소화합물을 생성시켰다. 산화제인 염소화합물의 농도가 포화상태에 도달하였을 때 루테늄 분말시료를 장입하고 침출반응을 진행하였다. 일정시간 간격으로 침출액을 채취하면서 루테늄 침출농도를 분석하였다. 본 실험결과 최적조건은 pH 10, 2 A, $40^{\circ}C$로 이 때 침출률은 88% 이다.

  • 무지개 빛을 내는 무기진주광택안료는, 내광성, 내용제성 및 내열성 등이 물리적 화학적 안정성이 우수하여 다양한 분야에서 응용되고 있다. 본 연구는 수열합성방법을 사용하여 마이카 티타니아에 파란색 코팅 안료인 염화코발트를 기본으로 화장품 안료로 사용되는 진주광택안료를 합성하였다. 코발트에 의한 안료의 색상을 보완하고자 코발트와 금속 염의 비를 달리하여 안료를 코팅하고, 이를 통해 금속염의 종류에 따라 다양한 색차값을 구현하는 진주광택 안료를 합성하였다. 코발트와 첨가된 금속 염 전구체의 조성비와, 금속 염의 종류에 따라 코팅 특성과 색상을 조절할 수 있었고, 안료의 다양한 색상변화 특성을 색차계를 통해 확인 하였다. 합성된 안료는 SPM, SEM, XRD, EDS 기기를 통해 특성을 분석하였다.

  • 반도체 제조 시 ohmic contact을 형성하고, barrier metal layer형성을 위해 NH3 기체를 사용하는 rapid thermal nitridation (RTN)은 반도체 공정에 있어 매우 중요한 핵심 기술이다. 그러나 공정 진행 시 발생하는 공정 부산물에 의한 chamber오염으로 인해 매우 정확히 입사 되어야 할 thermal energy의 controllability가 저하되고 있어, 미세 공정능력 구현의 한계에 부닥치고 있다. 본 연구에서는 quartz plate liner를 적용하여 RTN 공정에서 발생하는 공정 부산물인 ammonium chloride (NH4Cl)의 chamber 표면 증착을 최소화하였고, 공정 진행 온도의 controllability를 확보하였다.

  • A kinetic study on the electrodeposition of zinc-iron alloys onto a steel in chloride solutions has been car-ried out using a rotating disc geometry. The results show that the deposition rate was increased with electropotential, disc rotation speed and temperature, and consequently the rate was partly controlled by elec-trochemical reaction and partly by mass transport. The iron content of deposit was more increased with cell voltage than with disc rotating speed and temperature. During electrodeposition process, the addition of metal-lic zinc powder retards oxidation rate of $Fe^{2+}$.

METAL ION RESISTANCE OF THE BACTERIOCIN PRODUCING ENTEROCOCCI

  • Ten bacteriocin-producing Enterococcus faecium strains with urease activity ($1.10-6.2nkat.mL^{-1}$) were isolated from the rumen of 2-8 weeks old calves. All strains were resistant aginst disodium arsenate at a minimal inhibition concentration - MIC $5g.L^{-1}$ and mercury chloride ($MIC=10-20mg.L^{-1}$). Eight strains were resistant against silver nitrate ($MIC=40-50mg.L^{-1}$) and three against antibiotics used. The resistance against six antibiotics was found in A23 strain. Values of adherence index ranged from 5.02 to 20.4 enterococci adhered per one epithelial cell of rumen wall. All isolates produced bacteriocins which inhibited the growth at least of one of five indicator organisms. The EF1 strain with a good affinity to the epithelial cell ($15.2{\pm}1.2$) produced bacteriocin substance with antimicrobial activity against grampositive and gramnegative indicator bacteria.

  • High-strength plastic water supply pipe evaluation method was evaluated in this study. Up to date, high strength water supply pipes that we install are mostly ductile cast iron pipes. Sometimes, a few PVC pipes are installed. Metal pipes have rust problem on the surface, causing serious damage to metal pipes and reducing the expected life span of water piping system. Nowadays, depending on technology development, some companies have improved properties of general PVC pipe performance with remarkable properties that exceed KS and ASTM standard. Here, we suggest a new method of performance evaluation for high-strength water plastic pipes.

  • The notable feature of the Cu(II) coordination polymer investigated here is its ability to self-assemble into a double-stranded helical structure with regular grooves along the helical axis, through the combination of metal-chloride dimeric interactions and repulsive interactions, as an organizing force. It is also remarkable that the double-stranded helices self-organize into a 2-D columnar structure in both the bulk state and aqueous solution. These results represent a unique example that weak metal-ligand bridging interactions can provide a useful strategy to construct stable double-stranded helical nanotubes.

  • Diazotization of 2-Amino-5-nitrophenol was Synthesized by the direct diazotization method. The diazonium salts are usually stabilized in the from of double salts. The double salts of zinc chloride are the Commonest, and the double salt method is Specially applicable to the yield-up of coupling. The azo dye(2-naphthol-1-(2'-diazo-5'-nitrophenol)) is Converted into a chromium Complex by heating($100^{\circ}C$) with chromic formate, and DMF. The removal of inorganic salts from dyestuffs was performed in DMF solvent. This effect was more pronounced. From these results, It was obtained to liquid dyestuffs of metal complex with High fastness and high adsorption.
