A Study on Purchasing Behavior of Male Consumers in their 20s and 30s on Perfumes

  • Purpose: This study analyzed the perfume buying behavior of 561 men in their 20s and 30s. Research design, data and methodology: The demographic characteristics of the study subjects were analyzed frequently, the use of perfumes and chi-square tests were performed to identify differences in purchasing behavior, and the Likert 5-point scale was used to measure the importance of the reasons for choosing perfumes. Results: The most commonly used perfume product was Eau de Toilette, which had statistically significant differences with age and education (p<.05). Perfumes were most commonly purchased at health and beauty stores, with statistically significant differences by age, marital status, and education (p<.05). Conclusions: The study subjects have a high purchasing power for perfume products and are proficient in using smart devices, so they have a high level of information through beauty platforms, so they need to promote online products by introducing live commerce, etc.

  • 본 연구는 의료미용의 서비스 품질 및 병원 선택 요인이 고객 만족도와 재방문에 미치는 영향을 연구하기 위해 20-30대 성인 여성과 남성을 대상으로 총 291부의 설문지를 통하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 병원 선택 하위요인, 서비스 품질인식 하위요인, 고객 만족도, 재방문 요인 간 상관관계가 있으며, 병원 선택 및 의료미용 서비스 품질 하위요인은 고객 만족도와 재방문 의사에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 고객 만족도에는 병원비용이, 재방문에는 병원인지도가 가장 큰 영향을 미쳤고, 서비스 품질 중 시술후서비스가 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이와 같은 결과는 의사의 시술 능력은 물론 직원의 서비스에도 전반적인 관심을 기울여야 할 것으로 사료되어 지며, 추후 지역에 따른 다각적이고 종합적인 후속 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

외측광근을 이용한 대전자부 피부결손의 치료 (Vastus Lateralis Muscle or Myocutaneous Flap for Trochanteric Skin Defect)

  • Purpose: We performed vastus lateralis (VL) muslce or myocutaneous flap for close of the trochanteric skin defect usually happened in paraplegia and report our 6 cases. Materials and Methods: Between March 2004 and August 2005 we performed 4 cases of VL muscule flap with skin graft and 2 cases of VL myocutaneous flap for close of the trochanteric skin defect in 6 paraplegia patients. There were 5 men and 1 woman and mean age was 52.2 years and mean diameters of skin defect was $8.3{\times}8.3\;cm$. The mean follow up period was 18 months. The survival of flap, complications, healing time and patient's satisfaction were evaluated. Results: All flaps were survived except 1 case of margin necrosis. In 2 cases, blood-serous discharges were continued after operation which might be due to dead space and treated with $2{\sim}3$ times debridement and delayed close. Mean time to heal the skin defect was 7.6 weeks. No infection and recurrence in follow up periods. Cosmetic results judged by patients are that 3 cases are good and 3 cases are fair. Conclusion: VL muscle and myocutaneous flap is good treatment method among the numerous methods in treatment-failed cases of trochanteric skin defects of paraplegia patients. This surgical procedure is simple, constant blood supply, good pliability, cosmetic results and also appliable to other skin defect of pelvis girdle like sacrum and ischium.

비복동맥 피판술을 이용한 하지 피부결손의 치료 (Sural Artery Flap for Skin Defect of Lower Legs)

  • Purpose: We reconstructed the skin defect of lower legs exposing muscles, tendons and bone with fasciocutaneous sural artery flap and report our cases. Materials and Methods: Between March 2005 and September 2006, 8 cases of skin defect were reconstructed with fasciocutaneous sural artery flap. Defect site were 4 case of ankle and foot and 4 cases of lower leg. The average defect size was $4{\times}4\;cm^2$. There were 5 men and 3 women and mean age was 52.2 years. We evaluated the viability of flap, postoperative complication, healing time, patient's satisfaction. Results: There was no flap failure in 8 cases. But recurrent discharge in 2 cases was healed through several times adequate debridement and delayed suture without complication. Flap edema may be due to venous congestion was healed through leg elevation and use of low molecular weight heparin. Mean time to heal the skin defect was 4 weeks. No infection and recurrence in follow up period. Cosmetic results as judged by patients were that 5 cases are good and 3 cases are fair. Conclusion: Sural artery flap is good treatment method among the numerous methods in the cases of skin defect, with soft tissue exposed, which is not covered with debridment and skin graft. Sural artery flap is useful method for the skin defect of lower legs because it is simple procedure, has constant blood supply and relatively good cosmetic effect.

척골동맥 피판술을 이용한 수부 재건술 (Distally based Ulnar Artery Flap for Reconstruction of Hands)

  • Purpose: We reconstructed the skin defect of hands exposing tendons and/or bone with distally based ulnar artery flap and report our cases. Materials and Methods: Between March 2005 and September 2007, 6 cases of skin defect were reconstructed with distally based ulnar artery flap. Defect site were 5 cases of hand dorsal side and 1 case of hand volar side. The average defect size was $3{\times}3\;cm^2$. There were 4 men and 2 women and mean age was 55.5 years. We evaluated the viability of flap, postoperaive complication, healing time, patient's satisfaction. Results: There was no flap failure in 6 cases. 피부관리 애플리케이션 수용에 대한 설문조사 연구 (An Empirical Research on Skin Care Application Adoption)

  • Consumers who use mobile applications for their skin care are increasing due to increasing interest in skin care and smart phone use. A survey was conducted to select popular skin care mobile applications to be installed in the smart phone targeting 1,000 men and women in South Korea who are interested in their skin care. Questioned items included skin care awareness and recognition, skin care type, and the intention of using skin health care mobile services. The respondents thought the best skin as 'Flawless skin (52.3%)'. Also, 'Skin trouble' and 'Skin aging' were their major concerns. 47.1% of the respondents used mobile skin care applications, and 56.6% intended to try new mobile skin care services. The results on interesting field of skin care showed significant difference depending on gender, marital status, and annual average household income. Moreover, the results on effort made for skin care showed significant difference depending on age, gender, and marital status. They wanted the functions such as 'Review on cosmetic products by brand (23.8%)', 'Self skincare method (16.8%)', 'Continuous monitoring service (16.2%)', 'Information on cosmetic products (13.4%)'. The result of this study would be reliable as basic material for skincare mobile service area. Further studies could be focused on developing application in accordance with needs and how it should be applied.

서혜부 피판과 신경혈관 도서형 피판을 이용한 무지 재건술 (Groin flap and Neurovascular island flap for Reconstruction of the Thumb)

  • Purpose: We reconstructed the thumb with groin flap combined with secondary heterodigital neurovascular island flap and report our 6 cases. Materials and Methods: Between March 2003 and August 2004, 6 degloving thumbs or amputation of thumbs were reconstructed with groin flap combined with secondary heterodigital neurovascular island flap. There ware 4 men and 2 women, and mean age was 42.2 years. The following parameters were evaluated. Results: Recipient thumb was no limitation of apposition. but flexion contracture of interphalangeal joint was about 10 degree in two cases. Average grip power were 80% and average pinch power were 70% that of the normal thumb. The two point discrimination was average 10.5 mm and double sensibility in 2 cases. 2 patients have cold intolerance. Neuroma formation was not made. Cosmetic results as judged by patients were that 4 cases are good and 2 cases are fair. Conclusion: If massive skin defect after degloving thumb or amputation of thumb are present, we consider the numerous methods for reconstruction of thumb. This surgical procedure is good methods because of it's pliability, sensation, satisfactory functional results but major disadvantage are the staged operation and cosmetic effect of the absence of thumb nail.

냉동보관된 자가골편과 Methyl Methacrylate를 이용한 두개골성형술의 결과 비교 (Comparision of the Results of Cranioplasty Using Refrigerated Autogenous Bone Flap and Methyl Methacrylate)

  • Objective : Authors analyzed clinical outcomes of cranioplasty according to the materials used for covering defects of the skulls. Methods : From January 1997 to February 2000, there were forty one patients undergone cranioplasty at our institution. We used refrigerated autogenous bone flaps in 19 cases(group A) and methyl methacrylate(MMA) in 22 cases(group B). The medical records and plain skull radiographs of the patient were reviewed. Results : There were thirty men and eleven women. Mean follow up period was 12 months(From operation to last Outpatient department follow up). The mean operative time of the group A($136.8{\pm}3$ minutes) was shorter than the group B($172.7{\pm}2$ minutes, Mann-Whitney test, p=0.001). In group A, the degree of satisfaction was good in 8 cases, fair in 10, and poor in 1. In the group B, there were fair in 13 and poor in 9. So the cosmetic result was superior in the group A(Chi-square test, p=0.00). The complications were occured in one case of flap infection in the group A and 6 in the group B(one stitch abscess, 4 infected flaps, one subgaleal hematoma). Conclusion : Cranioplasty using refrigerated autogenous bone flap showed shorter operative time, better cosmetic results, and less complication rate than those using MMA.

  • 성별에 따른 직업군의 기준이 무너지는 사회의 변화로 여성의 전유물로 인식되어왔던 뷰티영역에 남성 뷰티전문가들이 종사하고 있으며, 이에 따른 관심도 증가와 더불어 뷰티 산업 속에 차지하는 남성 종사자의 비중이 증가로 나타나고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 성장하는 뷰티산업과 증가하는 남성 뷰티 종사자들 중 화장품 로드샵의 남성 판매종사원의 서비스품질이 구매의사에 미치는 영향을 통하여 향후 남성 뷰티종사자들에게 고객유치에 있어 전략적 시사점을 모색할 수 있는 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 3가지 가설을 수립하고 분석하였다. 그 결과 화장품 로드샵 남성 판매종사원의 서비스품질은 구매의사에 유의미한 정(+)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 화장품 로드샵의 남성 판매종사원들은 구매의사의 증가를 위해서 단정한 외모와 복장으로 고객을 응대하는 자세가 필요하며, 지속적인 제품교육 및 신속하고 정확한 서비스를 제공하는 교육이 필요하다고 사료된다.

남성 패션라이프스타일에 따른 세분집단별 화장품 구매행동 비교 (Cosmetics Purchasing Behavior of Males Based on the Fashion Life Style)

  • The purpose of this study was to classify male consumer groups according to the fashion lifestyle, to examine characteristics, needs and wants of each group, and to find out differences of cosmetics purchasing behavior among each group segment. After surveying 19-50 year old males by making a visit to college, company and home, 584 samples were analyzed by using SPSS(7.0) package program. Factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, crosstabs and $X^2-test$ were used to analyse collected data. The results of this study were as follows; 1. Twenty-two questionnaires using AIO fashion lifestyle variables produced seven factors; oriented fashion, flaunting brand preference, active preference, information intention, strong personality, reasonable economy and others directivity. Three groups based on oriented seven factors: personality, fashion and economy. 2. The Personality group had strong personal characters in their fashion. Men in this group prefer casual style and were represented by singles and professionals in their 30's. The fashion group pursued fashion trends, formal wears, and high-priced fashions. They were represented by singles with high-income managerial positions in their 19-29 age group. The economy group represented the largest sample in this study(54.5%). Men in this group tended to purchase fashion goods during of good fabrics at discount stores. This group represented married man with average incomes in their 40's. 3. Each of these three groups showed significant differences in cosmetics purchasing behavior. The personality group mainly purchased cosmetics on-line market because of price. The Internet tended to be their primary source of informations. They spent under 10,000won and pursued a simple and clear image. The fashion group purchased cosmetics at department stores to benefit from the knowledge of sales personal and their source of informations in the mass media. They spent over 70,000won monthly and pursued also a simple and clear image. The economy group purchased cosmetics at discount stores because of their wide assortment of products. They spent under 30,000won monthly and pursued a simple and clear image. Each of these groups currently consume different products and have a different concept of future cosmetic products.
