The herbal extract(YMT_02) is a modified extracts from Yukmijihwang-tang(YMJ) to promote memory-enhancing. The YMJ extracts has been widely used as replenishing yin and tonifying the kidneys herbal medicine for hundred years ia Asian countries. The purpose of this study is to: 1) quantitatively evaluate the memory-enhancing effect of YMT_02 by passive avoidance test, 2) statistical evaluation of candidate gene expression (pentraxin. PEP-19, transthyretin) in rat hippocampus. The hippocampi of YMT_02 and control group were dissected and mRNA was further purified. After synthesizing cDNA using oligo-dT primer, the cDNA were applied to Real Time PCR. The results were as follows : 1) passive avoidance test showed enhancing memory retentin by YMT_02 treatment, 2) expression of pentraxin, that accelerate degenerating of neuronal cell, was significantly decreased, 3) the mRNA of genes that has been known to be associated with protecting neuronal cell degeneration, such as PEP-19 and transthyretin, were significantly increased upon YMT_02 treatment. From above results, the administration of YMT_02 which tonify the function of Kidneys could enhance the ability of memory and learning. In addition, the administration of YMT_02 enhance memory retention through modulating particular gene (pentraxin, PEP-19, transthyretin) expressions in hippocampu.
The intelligence is the capacity to recognize the things and implies the meaning of abstract thought, learning and adaptability to the circumstance. Recently, as the promotion of learning ablility and memory attracts many people's attention, many studies of this have been accomplished but the pharmacological methods could not promote the intelligence and memory. In oriental medical theory, the human body is composed of four elements - essence, energy, sprit, blood and among these elements, sprit is considered as the concept of vital energy and mind. Especially, from the Jang-Fu physiological point of view, the memory is closly related with the heart and kidney In oriental medicine, some experiments on animal and literature studies on the subject of memory promotion have done. But because of difference in memory mechanism between man and animal, it is not in reason to apply the result of experiment on animal to human. Therefore I have methodological study of memory promotion to set up the concept of oriental medicine and experimental theory about this and can obtain such conclusion. 1. The oriental medical therapy for memory promotion is following. nourishing the heart and blood, regulating the function of spleen, relieving the mental stress, reinforcing the heart and kidney, invigorating and enriching the blood. 2. The insufficient intelligence in a child is considered to not be full and in an old man, it is considered to decline by degrees. 3. It is needed to molecular biological study of neurotransmitter after the using of oriental medical therapy. 4. It is possible to study using the genetic mutation or observing the collateral of brain nerve cell.

Memory effect, which influence the performance of Doherty amplifier, become more significant and critical in designing these circuits as the modulation signal bandwidth and operation power level increase. This paper reports on an attempt to investigate, model and quantity the contribution of the electrical nonlinearity effects and the thermal memory effects to a Doherty amplifier's distortion generation. Also this raper reports on the development of an accurate dynamic expression of the instantaneous junction temperature as a function of the instantaneous dissipated power. This expression has been used in the construction of an electrothermal model for the Doherty amplifier. Parameters for the nelv proposed behavior model were determined from the Doherty amplifier measurements obtained under different excitation conditions. This study led us to conclude that the effects of the transistor self-heating phenomenon are important for signals with wideband modulation bandwidth(ex. W-CDMA or UMTS signal). Doherty amplifier with electrothermal memory effect compensator enhanced ACLR performance about 20 dB than without electrothemal memory effect compensator. Experiment results were mesured by 60W LDMOS Doherty amplifier and electrothermal memory effect compensator was simulated by ADS.

Background and Objectives: The influence of musical aptitude on cognitive test performance in musicians is a long-debated research question. Evidence points to the low performance of nonmusicians in visual and auditory cognitive tasks (working memory and attention) compared with musicians. This cannot be generalized to all nonmusicians, as a sub-group in this population can have innate musical abilities even without any formal musical training. The present study aimed to study the effect of musical aptitude on the working memory and selective attention. Subjects and Methods: Three groups of 20 individuals each (a total of 60 participants), including trained-musicians, nonmusicians with good musical aptitude, and nonmusicians with low musical aptitude, participated in the present study. Cognitive-based visual (Flanker's selective attention test) and auditory (working memory tests: backward digit span and operation span) tests were administered. Results: MANOVA (followed by ANOVA) revealed a benefit of musicianship and musical aptitude on backward digit span and Flanker's reaction time (p<0.05). Discriminant function analyses showed that the groups could be effectively (accuracy, 80%) segregated based on the backward digit span and Flanker's selective attention test. Trained musicians and nonmusicians with good musical aptitude were distinguished as one cluster and nonmusicians with low musical aptitude formed another cluster, hinting the role of musical aptitude in working memory and selective attention. Conclusions: Nonmusicians with good musical aptitude can have enhanced working memory and selective attention skills like musicians. Hence, caution is required when these individuals are included as controls in cognitive-based visual and auditory experiments.

Recently, many complex DSP (Digital Signal Processing) algorithms have being realized on RISC CPU due to good compilation, low power consumption and large memory space. But, real-time implementation of multiple DSP algorithms on RISC requires the minimum and efficient memory usage and the lower occupancy of CPU. In this thesis, the original floating-point code of MPEG-1 audio decoder is converted to the fixed-point code and then optimized to the efficient assembly code in time-consuming function in accord with RISC feature. Finally, compared with floating-point and fixed-point, about 30 and 3 times speed enhancements are achieved respectively. And 3~4 times memory spaces are spared.

In this pacer, The effect of the impedances in SNOSEFT s memory devices has been developed. The effect of source and drain impedances are measuring using the method of the field effect bias resistance in the inner resistance regions of the device structure and external bias resistance. The effect of impedance by source and drain resistance shows according to increasing to the storage of memory charges, shows according to a function of decreasing to the gate voltages, shows the delay of threshold voltages, The delay time of low conductance state and high conductance state by the impedance effect shows 3 [${\mu}$sec] and 1[${\mu}$sec] respectively.
This experiment has investigated the influence of Yamen (Du. 15) point injection on learning and memory dysfunction caused by cerebral ischemia and reprofusion in bilateral cervical general artery combined with bleeding on mouse tail to mimic vascular dementia in human beings. By dividing 40 mice into 4 groups (group1false operation group, group2model group, group3point injection with Cerebrolysin group4point injection with saline.) According to random dividing principles, we observed the influence of Yamen(Du. 15) point injection on the time of swimming the whole course used by model mice which had received treatment for different days in different groups, and the influence of those mice on wrong times they entered blind end. The result showed that point injection with Cerebrolysin and saline could improve learning and memory dysfunction of the mice caused by cerebral ischemia.

Shape memory polyurethane (PU) with soft and hard segments has been extensively researched since its discovery by Mitsubishi in 1988 [1]. Hard segments can be formed via hydrogen bonding and crystallization, function as physical crosslinks below melting point (Tm). The reversible phase transformation of the soft segment is responsible for the shape memory effect. (omitted)
The free distance of (n, k, l) convolutional codes has some connection with the memory length, which depends on not only l but also on k. To efficiently obtain a large memory length, we have constructed a new class of (2k, k, l) convolutional codes by (2k, k) block codes and (2, 1, l) convolutional codes, and its encoder and generation function are also given in this paper. With the help of some matrix modules, we designed a single structure Viterbi decoder with a parallel capability, obtained a unified and efficient decoding model for (2k, k, l) convolutional codes, and then give a description of the decoding process in detail. By observing the survivor path memory in a matrix viewer, and testing the role of the max module, we implemented a simulation with (2k, k, l) convolutional codes. The results show that many of them are better than conventional (2, 1, l) convolutional codes.
