Purpose: To analyze trends related to demography and EMS and to provide supporting data for the appropriate deployment of EMS providers. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, data on patients transported by 119 EMS, demographics, and EMS factors were collected using the Korean Statistical Information Service (KOSIS) and the National Fire Agency annual report from 2017 to 2021. Results: During the study period, the total number of patients and those with severe disorders transported via 119 EMS showed an increasing trend. The total fertility rate and population during the same period tended to decrease, and the population density and number of households increased; however, there was a disparity between regions. The main demographic factors affecting the number of patients transported were population density and total fertility rate, while the main EMS factors were the number of ambulances and provision of emergency medical information services(hospital guidance, pharmacy information, and first aid guidance). Conclusion: From the perspective of EMS providers' force deployment, it is necessary to consider population density, population, number of households, total fertility rate, and number of emergency medical institutions and to strengthen the role of diverting the use of 119 EMS by minor patients by providing emergency medical information.

Purpose: This dissertation is a descriptive research study analyzing the accuracy and reliability of the cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) application developed in Korea. Methods: Two faculty members from the emergency medical services department and the emergency medicine department searched applications from July 1 to July 10, 2019 and selected a total of 13 applications. Twelve questions were assessed for information accuracy and three were assessed for reliability. In accordance with application types, the number and mean ± standard deviation were analyzed. The t-test was used to compare the accuracy of CPR information in accordance with information sources. Results: The results revealed the following errors: 7 cases (53.8%) identified the chest center lining from the nipple center-line as the chest pressure point; 5 cases (38.5%) did not provide information on the depth of 6 cm that should not be exceeded; and 4 cases (30.8%) did not provide advise to check respiration. When the CPR information sources were included, the information accuracy score was high; a significant difference was observed (p=.035). Conclusion: In the case of applications providing medical information regarding CPR, it is necessary to provide at least authoritarian, sources of information, and author transparency as well as continuous effort and attention.

The diffusion of webpages has inevitably brought about changes in providing the information service of the medical libraries. Accordingly this study builds a theoretical background in relation to webpages and information services of the medical libraries. Also, this paper examines the current information services in the webpages of the medical libraries in Seoul. By so doing, this study aims to enhance the information service in webpages of the medical libraries.

Medical services aren't done by doctors only but by different medical personnels. If any medical accident takes place, to what extent doctors, nurses and other personnels should respectively be liable for that should be determined. And when an employed doctor does any illegal medical act, his or her employer also should be responsible for that as a user. If a medical accident occurs, the victim or patient usually claims against the employer of the doctor sho causes the accident for compensation. And those who assist medical treatment, including nurses, should be liable for their own acts, but in case their doctor doesn't give any appropriate directions, the doctor should shoulder the liability. This indicates that nurses are also professional medical personnels, and that they should share the liability as well. There are lots of different medical personnels, but doctors and nurses are the pivot of team treatment, and nurses should also take responsibility for their services. Doctors and nurses are equal, as they are in pursuit of the same, namely, helping patients recover their health. Only their roles are different. If they respect each other and see each other as being responsible for their own roles, they will be able to consult together. Medical information on patients and nursing information should be shared by both of them, and patients should be provided accurate treatment and nursing services. If those who offer nursing services are unaware of required information due to conflicts with doctors, it might result in threatening the safety of patients. And in case any important information isn't properly conveyed between them, it might trigger a medical accident. Sophisticated and complex medical science requires medical personnels to be professional, and nurses as well as doctors need to be an expert. The fact treatment-related accidents take place often indicates that treatment is basically attended with danger. Furthermore, patients respond to all sorts of investigation and medicine in a different manner. They should be professional and knowledgeable to predict how they might respond and prevent any possible hazardous situations, and they are expected to have more knowledge in the future. Nonetheless, there aren't yet enough studies on the legal liability of nurses, and this study is expected to pave the way for future research on nurse liability against medical accidents.

The global medical tourism industry including Asian market has been activating recently. That is as medical tourists are motivated to seek the higher quality of healthcare with lower costs, as well as of travel. The consumers in this field tend to need customized services of medical tourism. It is needed that the consumers get customized information on medical services and traveling, the clinics and hospitals resolve the issues of offering translation and luring medical tourists from overseas, and the guides, who offer tour and translation service, provide the consumers and the clinics with customized services so that they get the services needed for one another. This research studies the Offline to Online, called O2O, matching platform based on global clinics, which connects medical facilities, patients, and guides for traveling and language services. It presents the customized marketing plans by utilizing customers' experiences from medical services and traveling they use.

This study, based on the need for department of LIS education program that targets training of subject-special librarian, focuses on proving that such education can improve perception of subject-special librarian and strengthen career decision-making. This study is composed of two parts. First, this study investigates case studies about subject-special librarian cultivation. Second, this study includes a survey about subject-special librarian, improving understanding about subject-special librarian, and improving career decision-making which was carried out targeting students who take 'Medical Terms and MeSH', and 'Health & Medical Information Sources' courses. Results are as follows. First, most of the respondents felt the need for medical librarian and medical information services (88.7%), understood the role of medical librarian (92.5%), got to know more about the types and functions of medical information services (100%), and came to be more aware of the self-esteem a medical librarian feels as a professional. Second, relatively, the percentage of respondents who demonstrated the willingness to work at a medical library (45.3%) or work in the field of medical information services (26.4%) was noticeably low. Third, there were no statistical difference in whether the students took related courses or not, number of courses they took and difference in their school year, and in regard of the level of understanding of medical librarian and medical information services, those who took courses demonstrated higher understanding than did those who did not take those courses. Also, those who took the courses showed stronger willingness to work as a medical librarian. Fourthly, the curriculum carried out by the department of library and information service was effective in understanding medical librarian and medical information services, but makes students more cautious about deciding whether or not to start their career at a medical library. Lastly, it was recommended that there is a need to have the curriculum updated in order to help students overcome the difficulty and unfamiliarity they feel about medical subject.

The purpose of this study is to explain intention to use untact medical diagnosis and consultation services. We carried out the analysis of the survey data using Smart PLS 3.0 to test the hypotheses how the expected benefit variables and perceived risk variables of untact medical diagnosis and consultation services affect intention to use. According to the empirical analysis results, this study confirmed that quality of telemedicine service had a significant effects on perceived usefulness, Perceived Easy of Use. And accessibility had a significant effects on perceived easy of use, cost saving and expected benefits had a significant effects on use Intention of untact medical diagnosis and consultation services. Performance risk and service risk had a significant effect on medical risk. And medical risk had a significant negative(-) effects on use Intention of untact medical diagnosis and consultation services. This study has its meaning because it found out that it deals structurally and expansively with use intention of untact medical diagnosis and consultation services through positive and negative factors.

IoT-based services are being released in accordance with the aging population and the demand for well-being pursuit needs. In addition to medical device companies, companies with ideas ranging from global ICT companies to startup companies are accelerating their market entry. The areas where these services are most commonly applied are health/medical, life/safety, city/energy, automotive and transportation. Furthermore, by expanding IoT technology convergence into the area of life care services, it contributes greatly to the development of service models in the public sector. It also provides an important opportunity for IoT-related companies to open up new markets. By addressing the problems of life care services that are still insufficient. We are providing opportunities to pursue the common interests of both users and workers and improve the quality of life. In order to establish IoT-based digital life care services, it is necessary to develop convergence technologies using cloud computing systems, big data analytics, medical information, and smart healthcare infrastructure.

In this paper, we present our recent effort on the development of a portable OCS system (SCH-mOCS), which provides minimal but essential functionalities of conventional OCS systems. SCH-mOCS is targeted for the environment where Internet connection is not available and fast processing of essential patient information is needed. The main usage could be found at the outdoor environment, such as voluntary medical services at challenged regions. The target of the first usage of the system is in the rural area of Cambodia where medical service and ICT infrastructure is poor. We have been conducting voluntary medical services for 15 years in Cambodia, where the services usually run for 3 days and include outpatient diagnosis/consultation, medication, and simple surgeries. This medical service started in 2002, where about 20 SoonChunHyang University Bucheon Hospital staffs (doctors, nurses, and pharmacists) participated. We realized that a system like SCH-mOCS is needed: we have to consult many patients in a short period, so that a prompt response and prescription to the patients are very important. However, the conventional OCS system is not suitable, because the service is usually conducted outdoor environment where Internet connected computers cannot be installed. Moreover, since the service needs only a subset of the conventional hospital information system and fast system response, application of a full OCS is not practical. The adequate system is a bare minimal OCS system, with very simple and quickly manageable patient admission, consultation, and prescription functionalities. In this paper, we describe hardware as well as the software aspect of a mini-OCS we have developed for the purpose. We named the system SCH-mOCS (SoonChunHyang mini-OCS). We also describe the usage scenario of SCH-mOCS in order to demonstrate that the system is general enough to apply for other similarly challenged regions.

Bibliotherapy personal appetite through literature as well as physical and mental health while it also creates production of healthy society and healthy leisure. As a result, it might be an approach to qualitative development of our society in terms of being an effective tool to contribute to the overall welfare improvement of our nation. The purpose of this research is to examine the current operation conditions of bibliotherapy services of medical libraries, to conduct survey on the librarians of perception about bibliotherapy services, and based on the results of this survey, to provide basic data for bibliotherapy services of medical libraries. To do this, Analyses of questionnaires going out to 57 librarians of 57 medical libraries among the member libraries of the Korea Medical Library Association. Through the results of this research, it can be seen that the librarians in the medical libraries perceive highly of providing bibliotherapy services for the users. The results of this study will likely suggest the need to re-align or shift current bibliotherapy services.
