A denitrification bacterium was isolated from riverbed soil and identified as Ochrobactrum sp., whose specific enzymes for denitrification metabolism were biochemically assayed or confirmed with specific coding genes. The denitrification activity of strain G3-1 was proportional to glucose/nitrate balance, which was consistent with the theoretical balance (0.5). The modified graphite felt cathode with neutral red, which functions as a solid electron mediator, enhanced the electron transfer from electrode to bacterial cell. The porous carbon anode was coated with a ceramic membrane and cellulose acetate film in order to permit the penetration of water molecules from the catholyte to the outside through anode, which functions as an air anode. A non-compartmented electrochemical bioreactor (NCEB) comprised of a solid electron mediator and an air anode was employed for cultivation of G3-1 cells. The intact G3-1 cells were immobilized in the solid electron mediator, by which denitrification activity was greatly increased at the lower glucose/nitrate balance than the theoretical balance (0.5). Metabolic stability of the intact G3-1 cells immobilized in the solid electron mediator was extended to 20 days, even at a glucose/nitrate balance of 0.1.

Lipid mediator such as lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) plays an important role in inflammation and wound heating, has been recently reported to induce influx of extracellular calcium into erythrocytes. This elevation in intracellular calcium level may cause destruction of membrane asymmetry and procoagulant microvesicle formation. Thus, we investigated if the lipid mediator could induce microvesicle formation as a result of extracellular calcium influx in human erythrocytes. Treatment with lipid mediator to erythrocytes resulted in microvesicle generation In a concentration-, time-dependent manner. Microvesicles formed expressed procoagulant phosphatidylserine (PS) on their surface membrane significantly as well. LPA did not affect the band 3 phosphorylation which is involved in morphological change in erythrocytes. Pretreatment with suramin did not inhibit LPA-induced microvesicle generation, suggesting microvesicle generation was not receptor-dependent pathway. Depletion of intracellular ATP levels in erythrocytes was suggested to be one of the mechanism for these events.

Purpose: This study was conducted to determine the mediator effect of social support in the association between stress for college life and depression among nursing students. Methods: The participants of the study were 201 university students in A and C cities. Self-report questionnaires were used to measure the variables. In the data analysis, the SPSSWIN 25.0 program was utilized for descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, Sobel test and multiple regression analysis. Results: Mean scores of stress for college life, depression and social support were 2.56, 4.12 and 0.61, respectively. Stress for college life and depression showed a significant positive correlation (r=.60, p<.001), while depression and social support showed a significant negative correlation (r=-.46, p<.001). Lastly, stress for college life and social support showed a significant negative correlation (r=-.55, p<.001). The analysis of the mediator effect of social support in the association between stress for college life and depression showed that social support had a significant mediator effect. Conclusion: Among nursing students, social support may be a mediator in the association between stress for college life and depression. Therefore, strategies for nursing intervention to improve social support should be developed for nursing students.

최근 인터넷의 발전으로 방대한 정보가 존재함에 따라 이들 정보들을 통합 관리할 필요성이 증대하고, 웹 검색 시스템의 서비스가 텍스트뿐만 아니라 이미지나 사운드 데이터와 같은 멀티미디어 정보까지 보편화되어 검색의 결과로 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 기존의 검색결과를 보면 멀티미디어 데이터에 대한 검색결과는 부가적 정보로서 서비스를 제공하기 때문에 검색 결과에 대해서도 정확한 결과에 대한 서비스를 제공하지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 XML기반에서 멀티미디어 데이터 소스에 대한 메타데이터를 DTD로 설계하여 내용기반 질의를 효과적으로 분산처리 할 수 있도록 Mediator를 설계한다.

This study vindicates similarities and differences of hybrid process of arbitration and mediation between China and Malaysia. Both countries develop hybrid processes combining arbitration with mediation in their own cultural soils. The Chinese dispute resolver plays the dual role of arbitrator and mediator during the proceedings of hybrid process of arbitration and mediation. On the other hand, a different arbitrator plays the role of mediator, if conciliation fails in Malaysia. On the other hand, judges are allowed to act as mediator during the proceeding in China and Malaysia.

mediator 시스템을 통한 질의는 일반적으로 대량의 검색결과를 제공하는데, 이 검색 결과 내에서 사용자가 원하는 정보를 효과적으로 찾을 수 있도록 인터페이스가 필요하다. 질의한 결과를 지역적으로 저장하고 관리하는 검색결과 관리자를 통해 기존의 검색 결과를 보존하면서 검색 결과에 대한 각종 연산을 가능하게 하도록 하는 결과 재배열에 필요한 기능을 정리하고, 이를 제공하기 위한 모델을 제안한다. 사용자의 질의 히스토리는 계층구조로 표현되며, 검색결과 관리자는 각 질의에 대한 검색 결과 집합에 대한 질의를 제공하고 물리적 저장을 관리한다.

The use of N-hydroxyphthalimide (NHPI) as a mediator for laccase has proven to be comparable to N-hydroxybenzotriazole (HBT) for the delignification of kraft pulp, and the transformation of a number of industrial dyes. The advantages of NHPI derivatives are the biodegradation of these compounds compared to HBT, which has been shown to be recalcitrant in the environment, and the more reasonable cost of synthetic process.

The purposes of this study are to examine the differences of gender role identity according to general characteristics, parenting behavior, and family function, and to find out the main predictors of gender role identity, in order to further test the mediating effects of family function between parenting behavior and gender role identity among middle school students. Six hundred-fifty 3rd graders from three middle schools in Busan participated in this study. The results showed that the significant variables for predicting the masculinity of gender role identity include family cohesion, and parenting behaviors (father's reasoning, mother's over-expectation) and monthly household income, respectively. The significant variables for predicting femininity were family cohesion, and father's intrusive parenting behaviors, father's educational background and the mother's affection, respectively. The results indicated that for masculinity, family cohesion played the full mediator with the father's monitoring behavior and the partial mediator with the father's reasoning behavior. Similarly, for the mother's reasoning and affection, family cohesion played a full mediator. For femininity, the family cohesion played the full mediator with the father's affection and the partial mediator with the mother's affection. Similarly, for androgyny, the family cohesion played a role of full mediator with the father's monitoring, reasoning, affection and mother's reasoning and affection. In other words, the parents'positive parenting behaviors affected the family cohesion, and in turn, had an impact on the formation of the gender role identity.

최근 증가하는 협업 연구는 원격 의료 데이터 공유 및 외부 기관의 데이터 접근을 요구하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 융통성 있고 효율적인 의료 데이터 관리를 위해 웹서비스를 이용하여 그리드와 PACS 간의 상호운용성 프레임워크를 제안하고 구현하였다. DICOM 표준은 PACS와 이미지 데이터베이스 사이에 의료 이미지 데이터의 교환과 전송을 정의한다. 그러나 병원들 간 의료 데이터 교환은 신뢰할 수 있는 기관들 사이에서만 제공된다. 더군다나 DICOM은 의료 데이터 관리 기능을 제공하지 않고 그리드 미들웨어는 DICOM 데이터에 접근 가능한 표준 툴킷을 제공하고 있지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 PACS 간의 연동과 의료 데이터 관리를 가능하게 하는 웹 서비스기반의 그리드 서비스 중계자(Web Services-based Grid Service Mediator, WGSM)를 개발하였다. WGSM은 압축 중계자, GridFTP 중계자, RFT 중계자, MyProxy 중계자, MDS 중계자, RLS 중계자 등으로 구성된다. 제안한 웹서비스 기반의 프레임워크는 협업 환경에서 PACS 간 사용자 인증 및 안전한 데이터 접근을 제공한다. 특히, WGSM은 일반 사용자들이 그리드 미들웨어에 대한 어떠한 지식이 없어도 간단하고 효율적인 방법으로 원격 PACS를 접근할 수 있게 한다.
